JohnBullMySon:
That happens when you fail to train and recover yourself properly. There's another lady in the US team that had a child then too. Alex Morgan was playing football even with a heavy belly.

I don't think that's the issue with Alex Morgan right now, one of the top scorer in the NWSL this season but I'm pretty certain she hasn't hit her top form yet...
Sydney Leroux is still doing well, have two kids already still Playing for the same club with Alex Morgan but is no longer in the USWNT set up...

kenddys:
Alex is 32

I was shocked she was even selected

She gave birth less than a year ago

This U.S team look sloppy

Europe might take over again

It's over a year ago!

kenddys:
Them done old boss

Alex Morgan
Raphinoe
Carli loyd

Haba na

Hahaha, Yeah they're old but still got enough quality to offer their team, I believe this is their last major tournament for the US except Alex Morgan

Barbara Banda have become the talk of the Olympics game women soccer event..

The USWNT are just too funny, no difference between them and the English fans, see the way they're raining insults on the players just because they lost..
Losing to Sweden isn't a big deal..

Sweden have always giving the US a tough time, the recent friendly game they played against the Swedish side few months ago which ended ( 1-1 ) reveal a lot about how strong the Swedish side would be at the Olympic....

Right now, all Vladko need is to get his Selection right especially from the Midfield to the Attack, he needs to know his best 3 that can deliver not what I watch them play against the Swedish side who are very quick, Physical and Experience...

If I were to be Vladko, against the next opponent I would retain same defence line, Julie Ertz, Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle would play the Midfield then Horan and K Mewis would come in as sub..
Play Press on the Left, Lloyd center and Heath on the right hand side
Why I would bring in Rapinoe for Heath at 60/65'min because she isn't fit yet, then move press to the right
Morgan can come in for Lloyd later on...

Sweden Defence also did a great job even with the absence of Sambrant and Nilla Fischer at Center Back...

AkinDS:
We obviously don’t have that caliber of players yet. So the next best thing is to groom them, as opposed to playing the same ol, same ol.
The new breed girls we have gotten this year are intelligent, pacey and young.
We need to GROOM THEM!!!

You're right
The likes of Kanu and Co should be given chances from the wing let's see how they perform...
I would have loved to see Tony Payne from the Right Wing just like the way she plays for Seville FC. She could possibly be the #7 Stella Mbachu we're missing!!

How do you see Okoronkwo??
Note she isn't even a professional player yet.. Collegiate

Whaoooo

South Africa coach Desiree Ellis Commending Barbara Banda performance..

GeneralDae:
They would still loose albeit with a smaller margin. I fancy the Zambians doing better against China.

China not as Weak as you may think, they had a few chances against Brazil but Marta, Dehbinha technical abilities and Coach Pia Sundhage tactics where good...

Sweden for Gold

isan:
If they packed the bus maybe they would have got a chance

I think so too, at least they would have been able to utilize the Speed of Barbara and Chanda upfront from the resulting Counter Attack..

But the Attacking Trio of Lieke Martens from the Left, Vivianne Miedema at the center then the Speedy Shanice at the Right wouldn't have been denied one or two goals by the Zambian Defence...

isan:
What is the Zambia coach thinking playing a highline against Netherland

He wanted to Win...

GeneralDae:
She looks like a man (facially) to be honest and she definitely doesn't look 21.

Yeah yeah yeah, Barbara evidently look like a Man with the way she plays, Asin everything about her physical appearance but deep down she's a woman...( Higher testosterone)

Since FIFA, CAF have confirmed she's a Woman there's no Problem..

AkinDS:
Disagree. Been there, done that.
That was tried out for years, with limited success.
The Oshoala-Oparanozie-Ortega trident has been the Nigerian attack for a very long time, with Oparanozie being the weakest link due to her limited pace.
Oshoala is more lethal as the arrowhead of the attack, same as how she lines up with Barca.
We have potential players to play on the wings to compliment Oshoala in the center.

Yeah made mention of potential Players, but wished they're as efficient and intelligent like her Clubside teammates Lieke Martens, Graham Hansen and Alexia putellas who does feed her well...

BascoVanVeli:
Too bad for u. She couldn't do anything against a striker playing as a fullback and now where did she go against Sweden? Keep on worshipping hype Sir

With this your Comment I'm very well convinced that you know nothing about women Football and you don't even watch them play because if you do you would know very well, you would never say this excellent bullshit.... #LastResponse

CoolJulian:
Barbara Banda must be really good.

She plays for Shanghai Shengli FC in China
21yrs of age, Very Strong, Quick and a good Finisher..

She got the looks of a Man and has brought about several Controversies occasionally with opponents accusing her of being a man some
some yearss ago...

FILEBE:
Please how do do they qualify for the Olympics in Football. How did the Falcons not qualify?

NFF and Coach Christopher Danjuma should be held responsible for the Superfalcons failure to qualify for the Olympics...

FT' Zambia (3)-(10) Netherland

{9' 15' 29' 59' Miedema V, 14' 38' Martens L, 44' van de Sanden S, 64' Roord J, 75' Beerensteyn L, 80' Pelova V }

{19' 32' 83' Banda B.}

I think is high time we play Asisat Oshoala from the Wing, not close to the sideline line though, this is where we would be able to enjoy her pace, strength and benefits a lot from it...

Desire Oparanozie, Roosa Ariyo, Ini Umotong should battle it out for the top9 spot...

83'Min Zambia (3)-(10) Netherland

Barbara Banda with the Hatrick

80'Min Zambia (1)-(10) Netherland

75'Min Zambia (1)-(9) Netherland
The Bayern Munich forward increase the tally

64'Min Zambia (1) - ( Netherland
Jill Rood with the goal after dribble past the Zambian Defence..

Miedema with her 4th goal of the game
59'Min Zambia (1)-(7) Netherland

BascoVanVeli:
But for your mind Meagan Rapinoe should never be compared to Oshoala because of her greatness

Don't even go there, Megan Rapinoe is ahead of Asisat Oshoala big time not just for the fame but what she brings to the field, you think football is all about Pace abi??...

GeneralDae:
E clear.

There's hope for Zambia to develop from here, Barbara Banda making good use of her Experiences, Physical Strength, pace and Skills but that isn't enough because it's all about teamwork... Wished Zambia had at least about 4 - 5 of her maybe things would have been better...

Shanice makes it 6
The Zambian Defence not been able to clear their lines quickly...
44'min Zambia (1)-(6) Netherland

Lieke Martens with another ball into the net
37minutes Zambia (1)-(5) Netherland

Vivianne Miedema with an hatrick...
29'Minutes Zambia (1)-(4) Netherland

Zambian with a goal from Barbara Banda utilizing her pace well, after Goalkeeper Sari Van misjudged the ball...

20 minutes Zambian (1)-(3) Netherland

Nali with an error to gift Vivianne Miedema the first goal...
Martens with the second...
Miedema again with the 3rd....

15 Minutes Zambian (0)-(3) Netherland

Sweden have got this, I love what I watched just now..

Sweden dominated the game from Onset... Even with the absence of experience Sambrant and Fischer from the backline...

Seger so cool in the Midfield...

Blackstenius with the Brace, but did miss one which should have given her an hatrick..
Hurtig came off the bench to add up from the nice delivery by Glas...
Glas should be the 2nd best right back in the World behind Lucy Bronze..

USA Coach needs to find the right combination in the Midfield and Attack that's their major problem right now...

Anyway Sweden for the Gold
