Are they not too young? Or... They just want to invite players anyhow?
Daughters of former Supereagle player Peter Ijeh, who's based in Sweden. They're definitely player's for the future, but this player play for one the best Club in Sweden BK Hacken who won the Swedish League and Swedish Cup last season, the training environment for them is very okay especially the eldest one she plays for two clubs currently, full games for Div 2 side Lidkopings FK and as a regular substitute for BK Hacken in the DAMALLSVENSKAN..

I believe BK Hacken doesn't want to release her that's why they sent her to their affiliate Club Lidkopings FK where she gets full game time is the Elitettan and then come over and play for BK Hacken as Substitute regularly. It's good for her development though but this to and fro of a thing Sha..

When last did you see her play on the international stage? And yes, I do watch her performance, a whole lot!
Her performance in AWCON 2018 was nothing to write home about either. Not to mention her 2019 WWC performance.
Its strange that most people haven't noticed her steady decline in performance over the past 4-5 years.
She has little or no pace, slows down our attack and her production rate in front of goal has been mediocre.
Her highest goals output at the AWCON was in 2014 with 5 goals, which was 7 years ago. Since then, her productivity has declined - 2016 (3), 2018 (2).
She has been in Nigeria's WC team since 2010, playing in the 2011, 2015 and 2019 squads, logging in an astonishing 'goose egg' number of goals (for someone who was supposed to be Nigeria's main striker). Its obvious she is grossly overrated, as she can't perform on the big stage.
I beg, let the woman be.
So 2016 nothing to write home about too??

Her goals won us 2016 AWCON, when some of your so called star players weren't seen in big games..
Oparanozie still got a lot to offer.
At least she plays the 9 better than Whosoever is currently playing it.

No matter what I will personally clamour for her inclusion in the Squad...

A waste of space, if there ever was one.
This lady's performance during the last world cup was beyond poor.
Her club record and performance at Dijon has also been poor - 18 games, 4 goals as a striker.
The team needs to be refreshed with younger talent for the future, and not recycling spent players who are at the trough of their careers like Oparanozie.
You're wrong
From the period of 2018/2019 Desire Oparanozie was playing all through with injury..

This season yes she scored only 4 goals 6 assist but did you watch her performance before judging her with the number of goals she Scored??

A top 9 who give 3 assist in a game doesn't contributes anything right??

Is not just about Scoring goals even though that's the no.1 job of a Center Forward..

Her total contribution to the team attack matters a lot eg on and off the ball movements, assist, abilities to hold on to the ball till her teammates gets into position etc..

Desire Oparanozie still remains Desire Oparanozie there's nothing like waste of Space...

You mean, KANU is not even faster than Ordega? Na wa o

Good.. Our squad is getting competitive and I'm afraid Franny's form lately might make her get dropped.

Very good info sir, Since the departure of the two strikers, I hope she can capitalise on it
Drop kee!!!

I will still repeat this, Coach Randy Waldrum have a lot of trust in Fransisca Ordega, she's her second forward after Asisat Oshoala.
I believe she would find her form very soon, An inform Ordega is a fighter, Speedster, tireless, she would single handedly run down any opponent fullbacks if she's well supplied by the Midfielders..

oshoala not a natural striker that is why she misses so many goals her finishing abilities is like 40% , she once missed five 1on1 against Zambia the coach should play her in wings

ordega : not a striker she's a winger

uchenna kanu : a winger

rasheedat ajibade : when last did she start as a striker for club and country ? She's naturally a winger

onomonwu : yes a striker but she's yet to prove herself in the green shirt , need more time

okoronkwo : too fragile to strike , i think she will do well as a AM

Ariyo: one of the few natural striker we have

Anam imo : a winger

ihezuo : average

Ebere orji Good striker and a finisher , why is she not getting call ups?

umotong : Good striker
The role of a striker is rather different from that of a traditional centre-forward, most times the terms centre-forward and striker are used interchangeably at times, as both play further up the field than other players, the likes of Roosa Ariyo, Desire Oparanozie, Abby Wambach, Birgit Prinz, Gaelle Enganemout, Vivian Miedema, Sam Kerr are typical example of Center forward but can also be called Strikers

Will you refer to the likes of Lieke Martens, Graham Hansen, Rolfo as Wingers?? Just because they play closed to the touch line, dribble into the box or cut back and deliver pullouts into the box!

Yes Ebere Orji is a Striker but if you watch 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany, the 3games falcons played, she played as a Left winger, with Stella Mbachu from the right leaving Desire Oparanozie and Nkwocha upfront as our Strikers against Canada and France..

That same World Cup against Germany Perpetual Nkwocha and Rita Chikwelu played Midfield, with Sarah Michael and Oparanozie upfront...

Ngozi Ebere who's one of our favorite Left Back used to be a Midfielder until Coach Edwin okon converted her to a Full back..

If you follow up this player's from the League here down to U17 till date you will know their original positions and their optional positions..

How is Ordega not a Striker?
U17 she played as no.9
U20 she paired most times with Desire Oparanozie upfront in a 4-4-2 formation..
For the Superfalcons that's when she plays majorly from the wing due to the fact that she plays close to the touchline and draw out opponent fullbacks, deliver pullouts, but She herself, Oparanozie, Oshoala most times interchange positions during game's ( one of their tactics especially during Coach Florence Omagbemi tenure..)
At Pitea IF is Sweden she played as their top striker..
At Washington Spirit in US, she played the 3 positions upfront alongside Crystal Dunn and Argentina Banini..
During her loan stints with Atletico de Madrid Femenino she played top9.

Please, permit me to use a male player as an Example, Do you call Ronaldo a Winger or a Striker??
Uchenna Kanu has never been a Winger, she plays similarly like Ronaldo, but her favorite position is the Left wing forward..
At Linkopings LFC she played top9 on few occasions last season especially when Ebere Orji was on the bench and Sweden Striker Lina Hurtig was out injured..

Rasheedat Ajibade isn't a Winger Sir, though she plays well there, we should be happy this ladies are versatile.
For your information Rasheedat Ajibade Plays Striker, Right Forward for Atletico de Madrid Femenino, Try and get their game's, watch them before commenting..

Okay please tell me which Position Rasheedat Ajibade Played against South Africa during the 2018 AWCON Final??

Anam IMO a striker but can play from the wing too, At Rosengard FC she never played as a Winger, currently at Pitea IF she plays Central Forward 3goals in 10 games

Player's like Ex international Stella Mbachu, Ogbonna Chukwudi, Esther Sunday, Aminat Yakubu, Patricia George are the ones you're to refer to as Wingers...

The picture below was the Superfalcon formation against USA

Please get your facts right...

Currently we have good strikers
With the exclusion of Desire Oparanozie due to her personal issues with NFF.

We have

4. Rasheedat Ajibade 21yrs (Atletico M, Spain)
5. Ifeoma Onomonwu 27yrs (Gotham FC,USA)

Very impressive.
One thing that I noticed is how she easily spot the runs of her teammate and her perfectly executed through balls. Double footed, creative, good goalscorer, good dribbler and explosive pace....very very impressive. Ordega might just make way for her. Are you sure she is not faster than Oshoala ? I think she is faster or both may be at par.
You're very correct, but she isn't faster than Oshoala or Ordega but she's arguably the next to them in terms of pace among the Superfalcon Strikers

Talking about Ordega making way for Kanu that's would be difficult because on a good day Ordega would run your Defence down and cause havock and Coach Randy also have a lot of trust in Ordega (She just need to find her form that's all)...

Levante UD two regular striker just Left the club, one of them Finnished second scoring 30goals just 1 behind Barcelona Femenino Jennifer Hermaso..

Spain top 9 Esther and Argentina Banini, I believe with their departure there's more room for Ordega to become a starter and also step up her game. Levante UD is also playing in the UEFA Women's Champions League which is another plus...

Don't see anything here to excite me.
She played this way when in college here in the US.
There's no way you're going to compare how she played at the NAIA to what she played last season in Sweden, by the way NAIA is not even at the same level with the NCAA, I will rank them alongside the NJCAA..

Her first professional Contract at Sevilla FC didn't last long all due to Covid situation and also because Linkopings LFC brought a better offer..

She played just 4 League game's and 2cup game's for Sevilla even though she didn't score, her play was okay coming from the NAIA

Her first full professional season was this past 2020 season where she played 22games, scoring 8goals and 5assist.. Starting 18 of those 22games...

This Current Season she has scored 6goals in 11games with 2 assist..

Out of curiosity...
Uchenna Kanu was with Sevilla in the 2020 season but was let go after 4 games. Why? (that is a tell tale sign that a player doesn't measure up to standards).
She went to a Swedish league and then joined up with Linkopings FC. Considering the Iberdola is much more competitive than the Damallsvenskan league, that raised a red flag for me, as the typical trend is to move from Scandinavia to southern continental Europe, in this case, Spain (Rash, Rita Chikwelu, Osi Ohale, are examples).
Second, I watched her performance in the Turkish Invitational and I wasn't really blown away. I really expected a whole lot more from her and quite frankly, didn't get it. Ball control, 1v1 ability, etc. on her part were below par for me, considering all the hype surrounding her. I was far from impressed.
Can you please watch this shot Clip of her, I'm not saying we're to assess her with this..

Sorry, it's not like that! America's NWSL towers above any European league you can think of. Rapinoe is far above those leagues Oshoala has played in, only Barcelona and the English league can come close. Also, those are not the very important statistics needed to judge them... You do know that club football is different from national team football, right?

Let Oshoala go and play in the American League, put in consistently excellent performances against world's best teams and players, and also in major tournaments- World cups, Olympics, only then would she be considered worthy of nominations and awards that Rapinoe has.
The German Frauen Bundesliga and the Swedish League use to be no. 1 and 2 but has gone down a little especially due to their low salary pay and top Players leaving for the English and Spanish League......

Didn't know what to make of Rash at first.
I had seen several of her games with AM prior to the Summer Series, and I thought she had started to, slowly but steadily, impose her brand in the AM team.
In the first game against Jamaica, I was a bit disappointed, as I thought she would really stand out in the Naija team. She didn't and that made me pause regarding my take on her. However, I thought she played very well against Portugal and the US, really imposing herself in the game.
I thought her overall performance across the three games could be ranked as a B+. I believe the summer series has helped Rash and Toni Payne become key members of the squad and have deservingly etched their names into Randy's starting lineup for the SF, going forward.

[b]Curious as to your take on Franny Ordega's performance...
Franny wasn't at her usual self at the Summer Series, I think her long break out of Competitive games is affecting her..
