Ebi's influence really showed. I think Ebi and Ohale are still needed in falcons for their experience at the moment.
You're right, At least when Ashleigh Plumptre comes in we would see what she has to offer..

Our Full back Position is up for grab..
Patricia George really need to be fit as soon as possible before the September tournament..

Glory Ogbonna will need to pave way, from 2017 till date she hasn't impressed me at all, How long are we going to keep trying her in that Spot...

You don't get it yet. We need a prominent play maker, that's my point. A playmaker (no 10) skillful enough to make dribbles from the center and supply the wings or give defence splitting passes. Chikwelu is getting old and I'll still need to see more of Toni Payne. Okobi of today is not the Okobi of 2015. Ayinde is more of a central (box to box) midfielder, she's not a natural playmaker.
Omooooo e nor easy to see quality Players ok, Scouting here and there.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 3:18am On Jun 14, 2021
At Clubside Chikwelu currently Plays as a DM which she's currently doing for the Superfalcons..

While she was playing for Kristianstand DFF in Sweden she played 4 positions, DM, CM, AM and Forward (Right)

2007 FIFA Women's World Cup she played Central Midfield with this Strong Lady behind her ( Effionwan Ekpo as the DM)

2011 in Germany she played DM/Central in the 3 games.. While Glory Iroka was the CAM with Orji and Mbachu operating from the wing then Oparanozie and Nkwocha as the Strikers..
Against Germany Coach Eucharia removed Iroka from the line up, pushed Nkwocha to the Midfield.... With Sarah Michael and Oparanozie upfront..

Okobi and Chinanza are good but not the most effective in the no 10 role. Chikwelu is a natural 10, but it seems she's getting old or losing touch. You saw how the no 10 Jessica carried her team today.
Sorry please can you tell me the role Okobi, Ayinde, Chikwelu and Payne Plays for the Superfalcons??

We need a very good attacking midfielder and right back.
Hahaha, we have got two excellent attacking Midfielders already, Tony Payne and Ngozi Okobi.. if you add Chinaza Uchendu who just recovered from ACL that's 3 already...

How many more do you need??

Where we lack it is at the Defence, DM and Central Midfield...

I think that's where the problem lied, she didn't track back on time. I think the coach should just leave her as a winger and look for a faith Ikidi kind of right back or at least one better than faith.
She was excellent but need to put in more effort in her defending, Overlapping/Offensively she's good..

She gave EVERYTHING despite being totally fatigued. cool
My greatest surprised is that she's not even a Defender but a Forward....

Alozie is my WOTM.. Girl played her hearts out...
Alozie is good but she needs to learn how to defend if she's to play as a Right back...

I can't blame her for those slight errors defensively from her and the 2 nutmeg she conceded because she's naturally a Forward/Winger..

The 2 amf thing was a mistake in this match
If the home based Central Midfielders were good enough the coach won't have played Ajibade and Payne together..

You are seeing the same thing that I'm seeing? We have better local coaches.. all these foreign female coaches haven't done anything impactful.. the coach of that oshola's under 20 coach will still be my best Nigeria female coach. I think he was same coach that took oparanozie/Ordega's u-20 to finals too.. he is 100 times better than this coach.
The Coach hasn't done anything wrong here....
Some of the Players aren't doing well... Old Mama Ebi and Chikwelu be performing better than them....

An in form Ordega would have taken this Portuguese defence to the cleaners...
Ordega is not inform that's why she hasn't been able to start up a game for Levante UD, the coach only bring her in at least 5 to 10 minutes of stoppage time..

Okoronkwo should come in...

JohnBullMySon:
Ok. I'd like to ask you a question.

Do you think Oshoala would make the USWNT starting lineup?
She will definitely make the bench as a regular substitute and will also have sometimes to start 50/50...

Asisat Oshoala bring in a different dimension as a Striker, her pace and strength upfront is one of a kind in the world, if she could work on her first touches and become more Clinical she would definitely be among the top 5 strikers in the World..

She also needs more confidence taking on her Defenders/markers one-on-one..

They should start if they participated in a session at least. Nevertheless, they can come in as substitutes, if they can't start.

Losing to Jamaica has put us in danger of finishing last.
As it stands both are going to start..

Good News....

Asisat Oshoala and Onome Ebi finally arrived Superfalcon Camp...

Will the Coach risk starting them this Night against Portugal or wait till the game against the US??

In December 2019, Plumptre elected to forgo the 2020 NWSL College Draft coming out of college despite projecting as a late-first round or early-second round pick and instead returned to England, rejoining hometown club Leicester City in the FA Women's Championship. The Foxes had reportedly also beaten FA WSL competition to her signature. She made her senior Leicester City debut on 19 January 2020, registering an assist on an Ella Rutherford goal in a 3–1 win over Crystal Palace. Plumptre's debut season with Leicester was limited to three league appearances as the season was curtailed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Leicester were awarded sixth-place on a points-per-game basis.

Dang 3 years later and she finally got her call. I knew there was something familiar about her.
Not 3 years, more than..

She and the likes of Kanu, Ihezuo, Goalkeeper Okeke and Aminat Yakubu are thesame set from the youth level..
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 9:26am On Jun 13, 2021
Plumptre has represented England at under-15, under-17, under-19 and under-23 level including at two tournaments: the 2014 and 2015 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship. Predominantly a forward or attacking midfielder at youth level, she scored twice during a 9–0 win over Moldova in the 2015 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualifying round. In 2016, 17-year-old Plumptre was the youngest player named to the under-23 team for the 2016 La Manga Tournament. She made a combined 30 appearances at youth level, scoring 10 goals.

Ebi is as fit as fiddle.

She never stopped training even when clubless. But definitely, replacements should be an important aspect right now, especially for Rita. A new 10 needed. Who's going to fit asap?
If the Nigerian Women Premier League Center Backs were good enough, with the little minutes and training they get in the Superfalcons, we would have spotted one long ago, and they would have been given Onome Ebi a tough time at that position but still yet known of them are yet to dispose her from that no.5...

We should be Lucky we have found Ashleigh Plumptre, the 23yrs old Left Footed Leicester City center Back...The USC Trojans women's soccer team (University of Southern California) graduate is highly Professional, she knows the basis of the game after playing in the University for 4yrs in the USA, she even had a stint with Birmingham FC in the WSL before moving to the US in 2016..

She's highly favored to replace Onome Ebi, standing at Height
5 ft 11 in (1.80 m), uses both feets but her dominant foot is the Left, excellent tackles, Dominant in the Air. Her game reading abilities are top notch, I personally watched Leicester City Women Football Club game's all because of her and with what I see, Non of the Home based can beat her to that Spot..

She have got National Team experience, playing over 35games for England from U15, U17, U20, to the U23 level..

The last time, I spoke with her Dad which was around May, he said the England Senior Women National Team are keeping track with her Daughter but they already made up their mind for Ashleigh to Play for Nigeria even their Family Lawyer and Leicester City coach wants her to Play for her Fatherland... So there is no going back as Coach Randy Waldrum already discussed with the NFF on the possibilities of her FIFA Nationality Switch from England to Nigeria..

Hopefully if the NFF are quick enough with the process, we would be having her by September for the 6 Nations Tournament in Lagos featuring (Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Mali and Morocco)

IF THERE'S ANY OTHER YOUNG CENTER BACK THAT CAN BEAT ASHLEIGH TO THAT NO.5 SPOT BRING IT ON LET'S SEE...
