Gemma Font Younger Sister who was actually Spain Age grade First Choice goalkeeper and Barcelona team B goalkeeper is actually far better than her big sister just that she had ACL and still out. Look there will be some level of bias and I can understand where this bias is coming from. Ifeoma to Randy is sort of a relationship of bias feelings. Ifeoma as an individual is quite intelligent with a gentle spirit. To the team she has been committed and has been playing for a while. She is as American as Randy and that makes him appreciate her better. She may not be the best but then she always wants to give her full average to the team.

I would have picked Rinsola Babajide as she would have offered a lot especially from the Left flank as she’s arguably the best crosser of the ball from the left flank that have seen in recent by any Nigerian player.

I’m currently rewatching the match, that 15th minute triple chance the falcons missed literally came back hunting. We don’t normally create much why not try as be clinical enough to take the few chances we get.

Kudos to Ajibade she did the Brazilians dirty on the Right flank, even Ludmila had to foul her on two occasions but referee didn’t blow. Randy choice of moving Ajibade to the midfield was because he already exhausted his two options of Toni Payne and Pnyi Echegini.

Ajibade is by far the best player in the pitch. Made a few errors but overall she's been fantastic.

Okeke and Demehin have been very poor. Brazil has literally exploited them all game. The left wing in it's entirety isn't in this game. Toni Payne has been making a lot of wrong decisions. I'll rather Randy brings in Kanu to the left wing and move JOE to the middle. JOE also has been absent save for the last possession but it is largely because she isn't getting a lot of the ball.

Ihezuo has been silent. She isn't putting any pressure whatsoever on the defense. Not sure she's won any of the aerial duels all game. Even if she's not scoring her presence should command some defensive attention to open up space for others. Sadly she isn't doing that.

Randy Waldrum Signs New Contract Extension As Super Falcons Coach

Randy Waldrum has signed a new contract extension to remain as the Super Falcons Coach, it has been understood. The American who took the nine-time Africa champions to the Round 16 of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand signed the contract recently.

The details of his new contract were not available at press time but it was reliably gathered that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF is yet to sign their own part of the contractual agreement. “I am reliably informed that Coach Waldrum has signed the Super Falcons contract extension the NFF has offered him,” sports journalist, Osasu Obayiuwana disclosed on Monday.

It was not clear why the NFF is dilly-dallying in signing their own part. Waldrum’s initial contract with the NFF expired in October last year.

The Super Falcons have crucial 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers to play next month.

“Is there any reason the NFF have not signed their own part of the deal? They have a decisive at Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier against Cameroon in February. The Falcons have not played in the Olympics since 2008″, Obayiuwana worried.The contract extension deal is taking almost three months, since his initial offer ended in October, and almost six months since the end of Nigeria’s World Cup run in August.

The Falcons will face Cameroon in the third round of the Olympic Games qualifying campaign between the 19th and 28th of February after they defeated Ethiopia 5-1 on aggregate in the second round.

Only two teams will represent Africa at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Having missed out from the London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the Super Falcons are eager to stage a comeback in Paris

Soo Adekwagh is married, based in Finland with three kids now. A girl and twin boys. She didn't really play her into the Superfalcon but was very good at the age grade teams.

Helen Ukaonu and Osas Igbinovia are married and both are also mothers.. Ukaonu gave birth to her first daughter in 2015 if I'm not mistaking.

Esther Okoronkwo that I spoke to in 2020 and made Yanga at first that she wasn’t going to Play for Nigeria but the US. Anyway sha good for her. I remember I told Sam about it.

I remember clearly how after the 2010 U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup when IDS Indiana State University women's soccer team offered Ebere Orji a Scholarship to come Play for them but she turn it down, she rather stayed back here in Nigeria for few years before she got her first Professional contract Abroad to go Play for Ferencvaros FC, in Hungary then where she won trophies and the League Golden boot before moving to Sweden where she has been for over 6years now.

Ebere Orji would have been one of Nigeria top Star by now but her National team Career didn’t go as expected. A player who finished top3 alongside Perpetual Nkwocha and Stella Mbachu for the Africa Best Award then in 2010. Some one who lost the Golden Ball award to Alexander Popp then in the U20 WC final.
She was one of the Players Coach Uche Ngozi Eucharia love so much then that made her Drop Cynthia Uwak/the Sexuality Saga. I just wish our U20 players will follow the US College Soccer Path.

Onyinye Okeke have lost it, She came in before Nnadozie and was tagged the replacement for Precious Dede after excellent performance from the U17 & U20 level..

There was a time it was a Competition between her and Nnadozie from Friendly Game against France during WAFU and All AFRICAN GAMES tournament but she ended up becoming a Back Up. She's still Young though and can return when the time comes..


As for Linda Jiwuaku and Faith Omilana it's would be a great opportunity for any of them to use this U20 Level to prove a point that they're the next to Nnadozie cause Mgechi Anderline haven't impressed me at all both Club and U20... If she improve fine..

Head Coach, Christopher Musa Danjuma has called up goalkeepers Faith Omilana and Linda Jiwuaku, defenders Jumoke Alani and Tumininu Adeshina, midfielders Taiwo Afolabi, Chinyere Kalu and Chidera Okenwa, and forwards Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, Yina Adoo and Opeyemi Ajakaye among a roster of 30 Falconets for next month’s 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against the U20 girls of Tanzania.

Following the withdrawal of Mauritius from the second-round attrition with Nigeria, the 2022 World Cup quarter-finalists drew a bye to the third round, where Tanzania await, with the first leg away in Dar es Salaam on a date within 10th – 12th November and the return leg in Abuja on a date within 17th – 19th November.

Danjuma has picked a few of his World Cup quarter-finalists from Costa Rica last year, and an impressive number from the Flamingos squad that won the bronze medals at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India a year ago.

The invited players have been told to report at the Chida Hotel in Utako, Abuja on Sunday, 22nd October.



World football-governing body, FIFA has increased the number of finalists for next year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup final tournament in Colombia to 24, from the 16 that participated in Costa Rica, and also increased the number of Africa’s flag bearers to four.

This means that after the Tanzania fixture, the Falconets will have one round to go before qualification for the big houseparty in Colombia in September 2024.
