Christianity EtcRe: If The Bible Is A Fairy-Tale, Then Why Is It Banned In At Least 52 Countries? by Scholar8200(m): 4:03pm On Oct 21, 2017

A future now means couple of years abi? That's how you make things up and begin to run commentaries on them.

A future is NOT the same as couple of years. That is pretty clear to anybody that understands English.
Let's not swerve to defining future here. A future is relative to the speaker.

Thread is on second page and we are yet to consider some of the nations and their reasons!!!

Where did he state that in a couple of years christianity will be extinct? You've strated making things up abi?
No sir:

But you should not worry, like I've always said, a future is coming when your likes would have gone into extinction and this nation will be occupied with more intelligent beings.

Reason and logic admonishes that we wait for the nearest future to prove if this is another Voltairic declaration.

It's a failed derail attempt. How did Islam get into a thread about the Bible and it's ban in certain countries?

Some people just talk so they can be heard but make zero sense.
Well, Nairaland religious section has not changed.

Using Islam to defeat and show how illogical your argument is is NOT the same as promoting Islam.
There was no need bringing it here to start with! Someone on this thread said something similar to Voltaire hence the reference to how the latter's claims played out! Reason and logic is that we wait and see how that of the NL will play out! Not bringing in another religion to the mix! Till now that one has not brought out someone from 18th or 19th century with similar personal commitment to extirpate the Quran, what then?

Did you see me mention anything about Islam anywhere?

Why the desperate goal post shifting today by you? grin

Even scholar8200 has noticed same. This thread is not about Christianity Vs Islam. Get that into your obviously thick head. cheesy
Thank you. Leaves much to be desired when a reference to history being replayed by the declaration of someone on a thread suddenly led to the reference to Islam, logic etc

Its simply and example. Am using Islam as a perfect example that completely counters your logic.

I know many pastors that have stated that Islam is the religuon of the devil and it will be destroyed . The pastors are no more while Islam is on the rise to be the biggest religion on earth.

You guys always sound funny. Just recently christians here were showing some projections that claim that atheism will drop in numbers in the near future and mastubating all over it.

The same PEW research center that conducted the research and made the projection has stated that Islam will become the largest religious group in the near future and I notice that when ever that is mentioned christians will start saying that it's an unsure projection. grin grin
I am free to refer to any part of history relevant to the topic of the thread, if you want to promote Islam, pls opening a thread here is free. Besides, the reference here was to a NL on this thread that claimed that in a couple of years , Christians etc will be extinct. I wonder then why the flaring up and reference to Islam!
Let's just wait for the next couple of years to prove the speaker right or wrong.

there goes!
I don't even need to go far than to look at Nairaland here and see many of your Christian brothers insulting Islam. We both know Islam will outlive all of us here. So if we follow your logic, do u agree that longevity confers truthfulness on Islam?
we need someone from 18th or 19th century to have a level playing field in your much anticipated thread.

Who doesn't know Voltaire? It seems u just read about him recently and u think namedropping him will help your point. Unfortunately no one here is impressed.

**Sigh** Nothing troubles me more than silly logic.

So if we follow this your line of thinking, what about all the pastors that said something similar about the Quran? Where are they today? And where is the Quran?

There's a sort of special silliness that comes with being religious. It makes people shoot themselves while attempting to gun down others. It is the suicide bomber mentality and it shows up in their arguments.

Look at this one now.
Very funny! You are free to open a thread on the Quran and the attacks thereon. This thread is on the Bible. So much for logic. While you set up that thread, mention a pastor in history that said something similar about the Quran; Voltaire was a figure in the 18th century so dont stay too close.

When you begin by telling lies like the OP then you shouldn't expect any one to take you seriously.
Firstly the bible isn't banned in 52 countries. Infact the bible is only FULLY banned in about only about a 6 countries in the world.

In the other countries there are only restrictions to bible usage. For example you will need government approval before you print, distribute and share the bible around. But if it is for personal usage at home you won't need any government approval. Christian apologist and their lie lie persecution complex will say that the bible is banned in such countries when it is not. It is the restrictions placed on attempts to convert people that Christain apologist tag as banning the bible when in reality it is NOT. Christians will want to speared their religion and it's propaganda on people , when they meet resistence they begin to cry.

From Qora it says that:

"The Gideons International have a list of countries where they are not allowed to operate:

Afghanistan, Algeria, China (People's Republic), Comoros, Djibouti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen".

Bit even with that other bible societies are allowed to operate in some.of these countries, bible societies like the Catholic bible society are allowed to operate in some of the countries. So ot is a lie that the bible is banned in 52 countries.

There are many reasons why most of the countries will NOT want their citizens to convert to christianity.

If you look at how christianity was speared it was done through conquest mostly back in the days and christian nations will NOT tolerate other religions. See what christians did to the Jews in the past and other minority European religions.

Even in the bible, there are stories about God telling people never to worship other Gods and injunctions were passed tellibg peopple even kill members of their families if they entice then to worship other Gods.
Well, sir, I wish OLADEEGBU will tell us if the highlighted is what he intended?

For those 2000 years the world has seen an increase in the religious and in Christianity and it took just 2000 years to hit almost 3billion people so let's do the math shall we?

3000000000 Christians divided by 2000 years. That's 1,500,000 million every year. Very impressive. Even if the growth index were to be cut down to a third of that, that would be 500,000 new followers a year which is still impressive and seen as the worst case scenario.

The fact is that nobody would remember you in another 80 or 90 years but guess what. Almost 3billion people have remembered Christianity for over 2000 years. If it hurts you then you can kiss a cobra.
Never mind; Francois Marie de voltaire said something similar about the Bible and where is he today? and where is the Bible?

But you should not worry, like I've always said, a future is coming when your likes would have gone into extinction and this nation will be occupied with more intelligent beings.

Intelligent beings who will no longer hold on to falsehood and tales that appeals only to emotions but lacks logic amd common sense

Intelligent beings who will no longer tell the genealogy of the Jews but seek after their true ancestral heritage

Intelligent beings who will no longer look into the sky to pray but look into the sky for space research

Intelligent beings who will no longer be deceived that their ancestors are evil, that holy lands are in Mekka and Jerusalem..

Intelligent beings who will pick up their own pen and write their own history, their genealogy and stop waiting for others to write their history

One would have wished the responses on this thread will be more based on reasonable and diplomatic premises that might have informed the action of the 52 nations but no way! It has quickly been filled up with people venting their bitterness against The Bible and God. This speaks volumes about the 'reason' and 'logic' some folks claim to follow. The first reasonable question should have been, "why was the Bible banned in those countries? " Not all sorts of bile and needless rants that have as much relevance to the topic as the railers have in a religious section/thread!

Christianity EtcRe: The Bible Condones Rape Of Single Virgens Only by Scholar8200(m):
mumumugu:
God's Word?
GOD: If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. (Deuteronomy 22: 28-2
What version is this? Albeit this is one of the proofs of the Divine origin of the Word if we shed our garb of anachronism!!!

Unlike this our loose, lascivious, lax and lewd generation where a lady (men too) sleeps around sans compunction and concern, then the ladies were virgins and one violation of such engenders a change such that she suddenly has an attachment to her assailant! i give you an example:

When Shechem raped Diana in Genesis 34:3, after the act, his soul cleaved to her!!! This definitely is replicated in the woman, it's called a soul tie (bare in mind that both are virgins). And, while it is in place, any other marriage or relationship by the two to any other is in danger (except the tie is severed) when the first person is still alive. This is why a Chibok girl will miss her abductor husband!

Hence, since they have been made one already, then the external marriage formality. The "she doesnt want him" claim comes up because we are used to the geometric proportions of immorality that characterises this days so we dont understand the psycho-somatic alterations a first intercourse creates.

Thanks op. Indeed, we are kept by the Power of God, through faith. 1 Peter 1:5

who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 1Peter 1:5

We are shielded by faith as long as we continually take the Shield of faith and , as the just, live by faith and do not drawback to perdition.

Caleb manifested that faith and was kept; the others did not and they perished in the wilderness.

Truly:
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; Hebrews 3:14
