Personally,im against Kanu because he is full of hatred and he's partisan. He says nothing about the state of Aba his home town but quick to insult Nigeria and say all sort of nonsense for the world to hear. Who in his right mind will call his own country a zoo? Aba is the dirtiest city in Africa but I am yet to hear NK say anything about the leaders. I don't have a problem with them going on strike but I think they can be very hypocritical when they also decide to scuttle the labour actions of other health professionals like Nurses, Scientists, Pharmacists, Physiotherapist etc. for asking for better welfare and life insurance too.

Physicians in US, Canada, UK do not attempt to scuttle the bargaining agreement on the welfare of other health professionals and specialists. But here, Nigerian physicians do it with relish.

Physicians in Nigeria must learn to be unmeddlesome of labour and welfare issues as it affect other professionals bodies if they must earn the sympathy of Nigerians who see them largely as greedy bullies.

The few medical laboratory personal I have met are just too basic with the normal laboratory test. When it comes to molecular research they are behind, or except those that have gone further into molecular research, which is more of the biochemist thing.

There are several qualified Medical Laboratory Scientists who are specialist in moleular diagnostics, some of with M.Sc and PhDs manning GeneXpert and PCR laboratories in Gaduwa, JUTH, NIMR, NAUTH, LUTH, UDUTH, UBTH etc.

Some of them are into private practice and and run molecular assays for research students whose projects are molecular based. I can personally name 35 Medical Laboratory Scientists who are specialists in molecular diagnostics off-hand.
