Well, Banji, some things in life are like gambling. You never could tell. You found a grail (wudn't call it the holy grail) in great team formation and formula in Mo'hits.Anyway, that's gone.I wish you more succ.ess.I'm D'banj.File, d boy is blessed |
Banji, I must say I was expecting something far better.Maybe you shouldn't have rushed things. @Kobo.I'll speak on d state where I presently reside.Have you heard of the late Adedibu of Ibadan?Have u ever been to his house @ Molete, or seen his boys in action?I guess you also are not aware of gifts of Danfo buses given out by Alao Akala to his foot soldiers after his first term election?Hope you won't ask me to provide receipts? If u expect a political mafia don in Nigeria to dress up like a Mario Puzo's character, then you are on a long thing.Have u ever been shot at or attacked with matchetes @ political rallies? The NURTW clashes in Ibadan that you read aboutl are real and bloody, andhave political backings.Yes,part of their war chests includes stolen loot to buy loyalty of these thugs. It's a game of numbers. They can only be overwhelmed like what we all saw in Egypt. The people must come out and speak with ONE voice. |
violent: Chapter Five section 110 of the Nigerian constitution says cold: In the end the process will be stalled because the Rep goes to court to seek an injunction preventing his recall. The vicious circle of summons and adjournments begin, the process drags on for another four years & probably gets stuck on some technicality.See what transpires in the election tribunals. It's simply not worth it,IMHO. jephiano: Also note dat once d process of recall is started, once u start campaigning against ur rep,his cronies and relatives wld inform him and he wld not go down without a fight.xpect threats, bribes, betrayal even violence.dis recall thing should only b tried when u r SURE a CLEAR MAJORITY dislike d rep.The point I'm trying to buttress with d above quotes is that these corrupt politicians have huge war chests comprising money, thugs, murder weapons, etc. In saner climes, tools like political office holder recall will work, but not in Nigeria.Thank God for what civil rights groups did during d last fuel subsidy protests,it was a step in d right direction(in my own view).Until we accept that a violent revolution like the arab spring is the way forward, and we selflessly execute it,then any other is wishful thinking. |
@kobo, u missed my point. I do not support d waiting game.I am not my parents. I support violent change. I don't really know u, am I wrong to assume that u are one of those who'll always talk, but when shit hits d fan, are no where to be found. For me, I'm fed up with supporting legal routes. I support armed struggle. Do I have my arms, na naija we dey, u kan always get a lil' sumtin. |
@Andro Blaze,I gbadun u.When an abnormal situation arises,an abnormal response is required.I strongly advocate violence against our oppressive leaders, because slavemasters do not grant their slaves easy freedom.D truth is there is no justice in the judiciary here.Thank God for media as this, and d press.I tried advocating violent protests here in Ibadan on 2 different occasions, one was against a filling station hoarding and selling petrol @ at hiked price,I mobilized to no avail, people were complacent.I sincerely don't think Nigerians are ready 4 change.I remember with nostalgia aluta days in school.Aluta is dead, present crop of students have gone soft.God forbid I pay over 10k as school fees, when d Chancellor and State governor had free education. My point is most of us are not ready for violent change.Whereas, our oppressors are violent. I'm patiently waiting when God will avenge the oppressed in this nation, when d oppressed will go up in arms against their oppressors, and we forcefully take our Kingdom of Heaven, for right now,it is their own Kingdom of Heaven. |
Saluda, Sir! You came, you saw, you conquered. May we live in interesting times. Truly, you lived an eventful life, and made your mark. Todays youths are living in politically, socially and boko haramically traumatizing times-our own ''interesting times''. Yet, I said to me, I never want to be forgotten. Clink heavenly champagne glasses wif my grandparents, tell'em their favourite grandchild is doing good. Right now, to you Ambassador Sola, I play Forever Young by Jay Z. Goodnight Baba, suu n re (RIP). |
No wonder Otedola had to report the alleged bribe demand to the SSS. He must have known the NPF is too corrupt (and also broke, lol) to handle the case. I'm sure wif this kind of ''jail-break'', it must have been easy to back-date those letters Farouk claimed to have written the police. Farouk's defense are written papers, Otedola has audio, video and cash evidences. I'm sure the SSS wanted Farouk to share the money wif his collaborators before arresting them all. I guess some of the marked notes have been spent, and they are buying time to get them back. Hmmn, that might be a lil difficult, cuz some Uniabuja babes don go on shopping spree already, as usual. |

Haba!Who are these sshildren to disrespect or argue with their papa like these?Shey, dey don't know Hurricane Shege ni?Bloody civilians dissin an old soldier!Enough with accusations joor.Mr OBJ,ante up,back up your words with proofs. We are patiently waiting. But seriously baba, were u integrity personified during your tenure?Sighs!I tire for these politicians. |
Someone, please enlighten me.Where is Iyabo Obasanjo? Is she doing business with the present government? |
I think Obasanjo was the chairman of PDP's BOT.What did he do to ensure a systemic fix to the electoral process of his party,to ensure that the right people get to elective offices. As a president, was there nothing he could have done to give us a transparent and better electoral system? It's easy to point fingers, but what did he do when he was the most powerful man in the land?Probably,if he writes an open letter to GEJ,suggesting what he could have done to better the electoral process, policies that will improve our lot, etc,(abi, really, whats there to hide?),then we will know he truly means well.Rather than casting aspersions,he should remember,he was the president that oversaw(directly or indirectly) the process that gave us this present group of leaders. He should take responsibility, and propose solutions. |
I'm interested.Pls,send me details.My email is ladilaide@gmail.com. |
