FreeStuffsNG: You must be naive if you think that Afenifere will remain relevant when it goes against Yoruba interest. That is what Pa Fasoranti is trying to preserve. Other associations like Afenifere started during the independence struggle have since died. Yoruba are voting for Asiwaju and it makes no sense when Afenifere gets trashed in the way Pa Adebanjo was going. Pa Adebanjo or no Pa Adebanjo, Asiwaju Tinubu has already gotten SW in his kitty so Pa Fasoranti understands the game and trying to avert the humiliation of Afenifere. This election is different because Asiwaju Tinubu is on the ballot.
How far? See how the northerns have enjoyed the Buhari (northern) agenda. Supposedly educated people like you, are the problem of this country. 8 years is going, yet here you are protecting another parochial agenda.
So it's going to be my 39th birthday next year and I still don't have one Kobo in my bank account. Still under my parents roof and no job. In a scale of 1 to 10, what are my chances of making it in life?
Yes, but by not voting an irresponsible candidate next year, in the name of political correctness. Governance goes a long in shaping our reality. In some climes, with little effort much is accomplished, within a short time. Your chances are as high as 10.
GodHatesJews: Nah Zoom campaign dem won to dey do now.
Obi could not fill a secondary school football field in Nassarawa for his official campaign kickoff
Will they vote on zoom ?
Obi should contest for the next big brother 9ja show and leave politics alone.
Lol. But sir, I have not seen either of the big parties sweeping the floor with campaigns, or have you? Lol. I woke up asking myself whether Obi effect has changed the dynamics of political campaigns in this country. I mean, this is November yet the big parties' mass campaign is still in the limbo. That tells you something has changed. It's as if they are afraid of campaigning to the disillusioned and suffering masses (not political jobbers). That means every citizen already knows whom to vote for.
We go wake up see February just now, just now. Your eyes go clear. Instead of your dead party to take advantage of the perceived Obi's flop, you're here mocking his strategy.
That's the end of the once revered sociopolitical group. Some old men's desperation would no doubt usher us into a new reality one way or another. Maybe regional governance would be the only alternative to disintegration come 2023. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Tribalism can never get Nigeria working.
The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Kashim Shettima has sub Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, during the town hall meeting and Dialogue with the Nigerian Economic Community & Business Leaders in Lagos, on Tuesday.
Wonderful news, but how come there's no video of BAT's speech at the same conference? or is Shettima really the president-in-waiting? Lol @ some people's myopic sophistication.
Why would anyone hoard Naira that the value devalues on daily basis. I'll rather hoard Dollars.
Because hoarding the dollar equivalent of the naira would give them away. They don't care about the exchange value, they get the naira like a land flowing with milk and honey. Converting the stash to dollar might make most BDCs close shop. Our minds cannot conceive how much of our Commonwealth politicians plunder per second. If most of us knew, none would campaign for any politician.
I don't understand the hypocrisy of some of you. Is it the same Afenifere whose endorsement Keyamo said is a recipe for failure? Okay, so BAT has won. Edo 2020 election taught me that endorsement is as good as nothing when you have the ordinary people behind you. Ize-Iyamu could have won an award for receiving the most endorsement. You all should chill already
Obi and his inconsequential running mate will not win 1 single polling unit up north
No sane person take Obi serious
Not even the mad man at upper iweaka who happened to be his special adviser
I sense self-delusion mixed with fear whenever I see comments like this one. You know it inside of you that nothing is certain with humans, you also know the uncertainties could rub off on your preferred candidate (most likely BAT) in a bad way up north, but you folks are always afraid to face the reality staring you in the face. Only AA's supporters have unflinching confidence, hence you don't see them targeting PO. It's okay to be scared of BAT'S possible failure, but PO won't be the cause.
Kagd10: Yet your yuselessss people continue to flock to Lagos. Thunder will strike you and your family if they ever step into Lagos yet Keep hating on Tinubu just like your hateful ancestors kpai with their unwarranted hate
Please don't ignore the signs, check your mental health. Even Seyi Tinubu would not be this aggressive in his support for BAT.
Ladycewhy: safe journey to Mars then. . People like me choose to stay and handle these mean and wild humans, it's called adaptation.
Hmmmm. In all, I think what we give rubs off on us in one way or another. Somehow, I have found that to be true about nature. The way we perceive things or people is a reflection of who we are or have become. The way they react/respond to us, gives an awareness of who they are or what they have become. It is bidirectional, that's why I feel the war of attrition with mankind is a lost battle, relative to the brevity of life. No one becomes better for it.
Meanwhile, love is strength, not weakness (nobody can convince me otherwise). I mean love that's unsullied, one that seeks the 'highest good' always. Sometimes, it reflects back on us in the most unusual way or unlikely situations. I can't relate to the bile most people have stored up towards their opposite gender. Life happens, but we must never forget what makes us human.
Lol. At the risk of sounding philosophical, I don't think seeing our relationships as a battlefield is less enervating than our estimation of the costs of people's insensitivity. To me, that's a burden I cannot bear, I don't have the strength. I think it has to do with our 'worldview'. My philosophy is to LEARN, LOVE & LIVE. So far, no regrets.
Nice chatting with you. Hope you show some mercy to sons of Adam. Lol. Have a nice day.
Ladycewhy: The war is already on, I don't know how many more will be willing to Sacrifice. If you sit down with older women you will know ,all the sacrifices to keep that fabric intact in the end is not worth. Life passes you by and all you have is grown up children who only think of you as a good mother because you endured and put up with bullshit and nothing else.
The struggle love culture is gradually fading and people are seeing the selfishness of wanting to keep the society happy instead of preserving their mental health. A wise woman builds her home but a wise man lays a good foundation for her to build on. Except we consciously make effort to be good humans instead of trying to portray how religious and traditional we are , it will only get worse.
Lol. No be animal kingdom we done turn this world to so? Being humane is the major thrust of this discourse. That is what is stronger than tide (religious or traditional) and what we have lost. I'm just afraid of the blow back on the few whose humanity is still intact, because of our interrelatedness and interconnectivity as humans. Maybe some of us would have to travel to Mars. It is well.
Ladycewhy: Make everything kuku scatter now,lol who cares if the fabric of matrimony is in tact or not . At the expense of what do we intend to continue holding this fabric together? Behind every successful marriage is a woman who has endured and most times sacrifice her happiness and mental health.
The psych of the average Nigerian is messed up even the ones who grew up with mommy and daddy, from your politicians ,to your educators ,to your mechanics just name it. We need to stop this moral facade we throw around. We are not as moral as we claim to be as a people.
Well, so far, we're seeing the impacts of failure in the home-font on our society, and it would only get worse. Your points are valid, it is a messed up situation. It's a case of actions vs reactions. The scary things is, there might never be a balance. In the end, sacrifices would have to be made, else humanity will consistently be at war with itself.
Ladycewhy: The next phase is for women to put their emotions under control and match the energy and vibe they are served.
As if that's not already destroying the fabrics of matrimony in this part of the world. Is everything not transactional now? Has it made any gender happier or more fulfilled? We will all rue the day we traded our core values for western culture. That's because the effect would be trans-generational, messing up the psyche of children.
The mistake of 'individualism' in a supposed union. I have diagnosed the problem, OP is from a broken home. Pls, if you're from a broken home, work on yourself before getting into marriage. Most people think they're insulated from the negative impact of the unpleasantness of growing up in a broken home.
wwwihy: Remi Tinubu and Nana shettima arrive Makurdi, Benue state to commiserate with flood victims
Yet some people are talking about Obidient movement being overwhelmed or losing steam, when in fact the big parties are simply walking in PO's shadows. If he can teach them how to campaign in this era, then he most certainly would lead the pack when it comes to governance.
Afamed: He really tried that he could not stay 5 mints in a state he turned new Jersey. Heaven Sabi una house
Lol. Supporting Agbado now makes most of you reason upside down. I know of a retired NNPC manager who's relocating to Abuja next month despite having his roots in the SS for years. Doesn't BAT have houses in Abuja? Why does he, since Lagos is new haven? Funny it's only you folks that have this warped thinking about where one chooses to spend his retirement. Even the wealthiest men in the world have not built themselves a city, but rather seek out smaller countries to relax.

Folks like you make governance look like a joke in this part of the world. So for 7 years plus, how has these so-called efforts affected the living conditions of the ordinary citizen? Trains that they've been killed/kidnapped in or roads that are death-traps? Are you living better than you did before 2015? What about your loved ones, any meaningful progress that came through PMB's policy-drive?
Don't separate commonsense from passion when defending Nigerian politicians.
It's mediocrity that makes people think Lagos is the 'gold standard' of development in Nigeria, despite being a capital once. Relative to the vast resources available to it, Lagos should be in the league of Singapore at the very least. A developing state in Nigeria is AKWA-IBOM.
Lol. You see them all over nairaland playing politics with their future. Imagine how much one would have to work to attain minimum comfort. Now, think of the time it would take out of your productive life.
seunmsg: Campaign has started officially and Peter Obi supporters are no longer organizing their organic rallies. What is really happening? Are they tired so soon? Are they overwhelmed by the crowd others are now pulling at their respective rallies? Have they run out of funds to move people around for their organic rallies?
Come on obituarists, it’s too early to give up. You guys must push this thing you started to the end o. It’s too early to be tired.
You're not wise at all. Between a party who takes the lead in everything and those who do 'catch-up', which should be taken seriously? Obidients have long left rallies to street mobilisation. It is one-on-one sensitization now. I wonder how parties that are supposed to be big have ended up walking and talking in the shadows of a structureless party. Una eyes go soon clear.
Some people that write off Obi, have not bothered to check how he won election in Anambra state under a fledging and relatively unknown party at the time. Some may argue that Anambra isn't Nigeria, but they forget the indices of possible upset come 2023:
APC: MM ticket (protest votes from majority of Christians) PDP: In-fighting (imagine 5 out of 13 state Governors as saboteurs)
Something strange will happen next year, and Obi is at the centre of it.
Mrmb: Yes, instead of buying foreign brands, patronise our local goods and it will boost they economy and ease borrowing....
My brother, who amongst the 3 leading candidates has evidence of promoting such local content when they were in government? Lol. I see another scenario where Nigerians will be made to bear the brunt of BAT'S hypocritical policies just like PMB whom we touted as 'Mr Integrity' whereas under whom Nigerians have borne the highest burden of corruption. I dey look una.
Lol. Obviously, PMB hasn't been a good enough lesson. Eight years is going, another is dawning. Political seasons make me realise moat Nigerians are under a spell. We see it during every election cycle: the razzmatazz and frenzy, all for peanuts. Then boom, eight years later the avid supporters are still reeling in misery and disillusionment. Sadly, if it were only the supporters that feel the brunt of bad governance, many of us wouldn't worry. May God help us all in this country.
This one don finally sign contract, like his cashivists counterparts. Funny thing is they always choose wrong. They wrote all sorts in support of PMB in 2015. Well, they don't choose on principle because their self-interest overrides national interest.
We have been dating for up to 10 months now, within these months I've not been myself, at first I thought it was love, then insecurities, and obsession. The problem is the girl is very supportive and very manipulative too. She always dares me that she will kill herself if she wants to see me and I don't show up. Infact, about Some weeks ago, she came to my house by 12am midnight, she is fond of coming very late at night to my house and will start crying that she will get robbed for me to open the gate and let her in. This is a dangerous thing, and the way I'm hiding my life sef, it could also be a disaster for me. I warned her upto 3 times before I took my decision.
That very day she called me by 12 am as usual that she was outside my gate. I told her to go back home. She refused and stood there till 1am. This girl came to my WhatsApp and told me she will kill herself if I don't come outside that she is with sniper. I told her fine, she can do that. When she saw how serious I was, she gave out my number to the bolt guy, who kept calling me. All I know was I closed my eyes and it was morning. I'm sure she called the bolt guy back to pick her up.
The other day which was some months ago, I told her I was having a meeting with a friend. On getting there she started calling me, and asking me to do video call, I told her young lady I'm in a meeting. After series of calls from her and me rejection it, or getting my phone on silent, she chatted on WhatsApp. Started acting all nice and asked me where I was in particular, with clear mind I told her. But that was a mistake, it was about 10 am then, and getting a taxi was hard, did you know this girl drove to the place I was having meeting, then hide under my car, my car was packed near a bush, this girl stood there, snake or even scorpions could have gotten to her. She waited untill I came out, I was shocked, when she discovered I was with a guy and two girls, she didn't know what to say. I felt so angry that I almost left her there. It's crazy now, cause I don't think this is love anymore, I have tried to discharge myself from her, but this girl is a devil. She begs my mum, my sister, my cousin, gives my number to everyone to beg me. Now everyone always begs me. How can move out from this girl without hurting her. Last time I told her it was over, after 1 week she called and said she is changed, Infact she is the sweetest woman I can have now etc. Very manipulative, shedding crocodile tears but hurting me deeply. Infact I used to earn over 3000$ a month, but after I started dating this girl I can hardly see 1000$ if not struggle, and my clients suddenly started ghosting me. Lost a contract of over 50k$. I just keep having this spirit that she has a very negative impact in my life, but I don't want to believe another human being can be a cause of someone's misfortune.
Guys I need help. How can I leave this girl without making her wanting to kill herself, although I want to believe it's all mouth, but I don't want to gamble it too.
Lol. See this son of Adam joking with the full force of the 3 things one could need deliverance from: POSSESSION, OBSESSION and OPPRESSION all working to the intent of ensnaring, tormenting and derailing you. That girl would ruin you, spiritually, mentally and financially.
You don't have to believe spiritual things to know that their are negative auras. Someone could walk into a home and the couple would start serious arguments afterwards over petty issues, sometimes related to the visitor. Be wise!
Lol. Your points are valid, but you should know why he's not doing so at the moment. Something tells me he will definitely open up ports in the SS and SE. The thought alone can stir up controversies, so don't expect him to reveal it now.
blancsn1: I recently returned from Abuja by road and along the way the group I went with conducted a research which is yet to be released to the public but I have a few pointers as to how this election will pane out clearly in the Western North Western and North Eastern state we visited.
I know this might hurt but I want Obidient to know they need more work done, they probably need independent analyst to conduct research as to the electability of Peter Obi. Without beating round the bush our research findings concluded Peter Obi is not expected to record up to 10,000 votes in any of the SW NW NE NC state aside Lagos Abuja Benue where he will surpass that threshold comfortably.
Work need to be done in other state n am telling you a lot of work. Hopefully Peter Obi will not be another Maduka That Alex reporter chop his money with so much social media noise but he only got 2K vote in the election before he was rushed backed to the United States make he no go get cardiac arrest from the street wey dem run am.
Attached is Anamabra Guber election result, Maduka Godwin is number one on the list. Peter Obi is projected to score similar vote across the SW NC NE NE state with exception of state such as Lagos Abuja n Benue.
Another team covers the research in the SE n SS n yes he will have considerable vote over there 10,000 votes in almost all the state there with the hint I received.
Okay, oracle. We are aware that PO has always been an underdog in the race to 2023. His eventual victory will be a product of many factors some political pundits are too blind to envisage now. You do not reckon that the big parties are not what they used to be. Look at how disorganized their campaigns are, as though they are as new as LP. May the miscalculations of the big parties continue to sweet all lovers of good governance.
Peacemaker5128: See how Obedients cleared Sheikh Gumi of being a terrorist
Funny folks. There was no lekki massacre but Gumi is a terrorist. Gumi is a terrorist but your APC government has not indicted or prosecuted him. PO knows some solutions are homegrown (local). Your pains can continue, we're undeterred.
