HealthRe: Help! I Always Vomit Anytime I Eat. by seagulsntrawler: 4:26pm On Jul 13
Originalsly:
Not in the medical field. From what you wrote it seems to me the root of the problem is your mindset. What you think ... your mind ... can cause the body to take certain actions on its own. A work mate of mine ... who was a "food judge" ... saw our secretary eating some fried stuff that somewhat looked a bit like puff puffs... he asked what it was ... she old him to have some. He did .. started chewing slowly .. trying to figure out what it was .. but at the same time commenting on the texture and taste.. it's kinda crispy .. a bit salty etc ..said it tasted good .. ... then he swallowed. At that moment ... she told him it was octopus. Instantaneously... the food shot out from his throat .. he didn't vomit it out .. it literally shot out of his throat. I guess this is the same reaction you referred to when you said the vomit would come out with force. This action J want to believe is an allergic reaction set off by the mind. It was all good until the mind was informed it was octopus... which he does not eat. The same way your body is ejecting the food because of your mindset .... if I eat this food I may vomit ... and that thought set up the stomach to enect whatever food comes in. You ve said after you vomit at night... you can then eat and the food will remain. You've programmed your mind to first reject... then accept the food.
You're referring to the anti-emetic properties of marijuana that enhances appetite and prevents sick patients from vomiting. Doctors often recommends it to patients recovering from cancer for obvious reasons.

My advice is to not eat ... until your mind has no fear of vomiting. I suggest you take no pharmaceutical drugs ... th side effects will lead to other problems. If you have to take something ... then I suggest you use weed .. he's marijuana. Get natural marijuana and make tea ... let it stay at least 12 hours to draw the strength ... drink some like 20 minutes before you're ready to eat ... the food will go down and stay down. One of the medicinal qualities of marijuana is it prevents vomiting .. it prevents the throat from bringing stuff up.

SportsRe: Did India Really Beat Nigeria 99–1? The Truth About The Okwaraji Story by seagulsntrawler:
Bahamas95:
Even with technology I don't think this generation had fun like some of us back then. This India vs Nigeria match was one of the stories that gave us premium joy.

Children nowadays nor sabi play, any small thing dem don shift pant.
The version of the story I heard in the 80s was even crazier and unbelievable. The story goes that India was already 99 goals up against Nigeria because every attempt on goal would have the ball transform into a lion making a mad dash at the Nigerian goal keeper. Although this occurrence is only visible to the goalkeeper (spectators were oblivious of the Indian magic), he is forced to run away from the goal post just to avoid the rampaging lion. The consolation goal for Nigeria came from Teslim Balogun (Thunder Balogun). After dribbling several Indian defenders the ball transformed into a stone and then three fingers of banana. He was said to have removed and eaten the banana in the middle so as to neutralize the spell on Nigerian footballers. Then the frustrated Indians defenders brought him down in the 18 yard box and Nigeria got a penalty kick. So Thunder Balogun stepped up to take the spot kick. Before the referee sounded his whistle for the kick to be taken, his wife standing close to the touch line admonished him to "remember your left foot" for the strike. Indeed, Thunder is reputed to pack powerful shots in his left foot. So he stepped up and fired the shot. The sting and power in the ball caused it to go through the Indian goalie's abdomen and even made it through the net afterward, and never to be found up till this day grin grin grin grin

My findings showed that this story predates the death of Samuel Okwaraji at the national stadium in Lagos, and India was actually banned by FIFA from playing soccer in the 50s because they always played barefooted which was against the rules of the game. Although not confirmed, Thunder Balogun may actually have killed someone trying to save his shot in Jos, Plateau State during his playing day.

I believe you need to get your definition of global terrorism right. There are nuances you have to properly deal with to get better clarity of, bc you tend to get things mixed up. I doubt you know the difference between Shia and sunmi islam, and that iswap and boko haram operating almost freely in Nigeria have no links with Iran, bc theyre Sunmi inclimed Wahhabi groups, and Iran fights them even more than the Nigerian government is currently doing. If I may ask, who are the terrorist groups Iran is sponsoring, you will start rambling Hamas and Hezbollah. Pls, stop being ignorant. This is because you're very active here, pushing a lot of false narratives about global terrorism. Not everything about Islam is terrorism.
Too many ignorant folks on this forum. They don't understand how adherents of Shia Islam are eager and willing to embrace martyrdom and that Shia Islam has nothing to do with Wahabbist Islamic terrorism (sponsored by the U.S, E.U, and Gulf States).

Many people here may not know him.

He's deadly and fight with traditional guns, and he's the only one that fights with Juju guns among them I guess, that's apart from the fact that he's loaded with deadly charms oo.

He's from back in the days before others
For me Fadeyi will come out top for the reasons you stated. Besides, he is a great marksman too and does not miss from a distance. In fact, it took the combined effort of Orisabunmi and some elemental beings to defeat him in Arelu grin grin grin.

KingAzubuike:
You no sabi ball at all.

You keep praising defenders of that era. You failed to realise football simply evolved gradually. There were no longer useless needs for aggressive tackles. Many defenders even today can tackle aggressively like those ones you mentioned but football has simply evolved. Leg breaking tackels are needless and unwise. .

Messi also played against people like pepe, vidic, ramos, Nigel dejong, chielini, cordoba. It's nobody's fault R9 was breaking bones like brisket. It's nobody's fault he wasn't fit enough.
Playing football back then was quite difficult because defenders could tackle you from behind and the ref would not make a call for an infringement. I can bet you that Messi and Ronaldo won't survive a season in Italy playing against the likes of Baressi, Maldini and Taribo West under such rules. They would end up in the hospital with no protection from the refs. Yes, football was really that brutal back then. For R9 to score 8 goals (2 in the final against Germany) in the 2002 world cup final, he cemented his place as truly the greatest striker of all time in the game.

Couldn't have put it better than you did. Watch the U.S army and navy band's rendition of Fela's "water no get enemy."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nzeWgxFDtM

zicobaba:
Is it true that a Nigerian youngster said he is greater than Fela?
I sincerely hope he was misquoted.

Even if he were to live ten lifetimes, his art and his life could not measure up to Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Is it in art?
Is it in music?
Is it in activism, courage, or originality?

Fela was not just a musician; he was a movement, a conscience, a revolution in human form. His music gave birth to Afrobeat, a genre now studied in universities across the world, sampled by global superstars, and performed on the world’s greatest stages. From Lagos to London, New York to Berlin, Fela’s sound reshaped global music and African identity.

Fela stood alone—fearless in the face of military dictatorships, unapologetic in his resistance to oppression. He used his music as a weapon against injustice, corruption, colonial mentality, and state violence. For this, he was arrested over 200 times, brutalized, imprisoned, tortured, exiled, and silenced—yet never broken.

His mother was murdered by the state. His house, the Kalakuta Republic, was burned to the ground. His property was seized. He was flogged, beaten, and jailed from Alagbon to Panti, hounded by police and soldiers alike. Yet, after every assault, Fela returned with sharper lyrics, deeper rhythms, and more defiant truth.

For any young person—musician or not—to compare himself to Fela, he must first walk the corridors of Nigerian jailhouses: Lagos, Maiduguri, Benin. He must endure police cells and military tribunals. He must lose everything, go into exile, and still return with his creative spirit intact.

Fela was a multi-instrumentalist, a composer, bandleader, philosopher, and cultural theorist. He could play virtually every instrument in his band, wrote complex compositions lasting 15 to 30 minutes, and fused jazz, highlife, funk, Yoruba rhythms, and political poetry into something entirely original—something timeless.

Globally, Fela is honored as:
• One of the most influential musicians of the 20th century
• A cultural icon whose life inspired Broadway productions, documentaries, books, and academic studies
• A symbol of African resistance and intellectual freedom
• A voice for the oppressed, long after his death

Fela did not chase acceptance. The world came to him.

So, whoever this fellow is—if he indeed made such a claim—should simply be ignored. He may be one of those who would flee the country the moment the police knock once on his car window in Ojuelegba.

Fela did not run.
Fela stood.
Fela fought.
And Fela remains immortal.

Anikulapo—the man who carried death in his pouch.

Taqyiyah lies. The Army is never under staff. Mop them from the streets, oil bunkering activities, the Highways where they have become nuisance.

Where are actually all the Nigerian battalions scattered all over the country. Is the country in a war with another sovereign country where the Nigerian army were deployed into ?

You are not honest. Giving excuses for a failed maladministration
The Nigerian Army is a major problem in this country. They are good at performing psychological operations (terrorism, school cultism, banditry) against Nigerians and do not want to leave the street for the barracks, where they won't be relevant. Hence, the need to foster these problems and render the police useless in performing their duties so that they will still be called on to tackle the problems they deliberately created. It is like the U.S govt war on terror and drugs, when they created the terrorists and are the major dealer in drugs globally.
Do you know how many young soldiers are on guard duties to hundreds of retired military officers scattered around the country, all in the name of securing their ogas' lives? So they are not understaffed.

We're finish
It is really a pity. I go out these days wondering where most of the weird-looking creatures I see around come from. Most of them are not normal and pretend to be quite smart (of course, they have access to ICT more than other generations). So what passes for entertainment for most of them is completely gross and ludicrous to a sane mind. I guess if Jagz had put in a little effort to mime his own songs, it wouldn't have generated such uproar. Most Nigerian artists can't perform live on stage with live band, while free-styling. What they do is to play their original songs to which they then mime. Do you think Davido's father would ask him to play live for him during his birthday when presented with the choice of KSA, KWAM 1, or Ebenezer Obey. Same thing with Chief Wale Adenuga, Baba Adebutu, Obasanjo, etc.
The truth is that these guys don't have the talents but only rely on synchronised beats.
Lastly, Jagz is on some stuff stronger than hemp. However, Davido lacked respect for claiming to have the power to buy his life. Nobody has that power except God, who decides when it is time for all, whether old, young, rich, poor, black or White.

Eating plenty of beans (especially Red kidney beans), exercise, and good restful sleep can really be of help against diabetes.

[center]"Obesity, inactive lifestyles, poor eating habits, aging, and

can play a greater role in managing hyperglycemia condition
among diabetes. Reduction of the intake of carbohydrate
foods made with refined wheat flour has been found to be an
effective approach in controlling post-prandial hyperglycemia

SportsRe: Rashidi Yekini: In Honour Of The Legendary Nigerian Striker by seagulsntrawler:
Yekini was a delight to watch in those days. He doesn't need the ball on a plate for him to score a goal. Free-kicks, penalties, and scoring half-chances was his bread and butter back then. He was truly a legend and could have broken Lauren Poku's most goals in the African nations cup record if not for the ban imposed on Nigeria in 1996 and 1998. Back then, when listening to soccer commentaries on radio, the mention of Yekini's name means something important is about to happen, and he does not disappoint millions of fans nationwide. Watching the super-chicken play nowadays is tedious and a complete waste, and not worth the effort and time. A major problem with the current setup is our love for having foreign players not born in Nigeria represent us in soccer games. Players like Lookman, Balogun, Ekong etc don't understand what it takes to be Nigerians because they are not Nigerians and would rather player for their home country. The spirit and passion is lacking. Diversity and inclusiveness has killed the national team.
RIP legend.

Very devastating strike pair that was scoring for fun at the Copa America. Unfortunately, injury to Romario ruined that partnership. Rivaldo/Romario pales into insignificance when you see what these two guys did!

Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke (Manchester United)

Very true! Most people use their date of birth as their PIN code, making it easy for the ATM card thieves to access their account. With the ATM card in their custody for that lengthy period of time, all they need do is try it on an ATM machine twice everyday without the machine seizing it. And it won't take long for them to access his account. People should avoid using their DOB as ATM PIN code! Random numbers that can be remembered easily should suffice in this case.
