Four members of an armed robbery gang were arrested in Lagos State. During interrogation, they revealed that they normally pray to God before going on any operation.

According to one of them, Mutalubi Abdulahi, the prayers are to ensure that only sinners would be attacked.

Mutalubi and his colleagues, Ismaila Moruf, Opeyemi Akinyemi, Sarah Emmanuel, we’re all arrested in Mile 2 area of Lagos State by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

The police revealed that, the female member of the gang, Sarah allegedly supplied two of the three guns used in the operation and the guns have been recovered by the police.
The suspects were all arrested at their hideouts in Lagos and Ogun States.
Going by their earlier claim that they try to rob only sinners, 29-year-old Mutalubi revealed that they only rob those who deserves to be robbed.

You won’t help but feel sorry for the Christ mothers from Mgbishii, a sleepy rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area in Imo State. They have cried out to the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony Obinna, over atrocities that’s being committed daily by their sons and daughters.

The sad women called on the Archbishop at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, Owerri, to tell him how they being raped daily by their own sons.

“We are raped and molested by our own children. You cannot come to Mgbuishii and return home safely because of the crime,” the women told Archbishop Obinna.

Claiming they have complained several times to the both the state government and other law enforcement agents, they said: “We are angry because government is not looking at our direction at all. We have been completely abandoned for years. We have complained severally and no response”

Now, we have no good roads, no electricity, no market and nothing is going on in our place. To make things worse, we are now suffering from insecurity.”

Continuing, the aggrieved women also revealed that their sons take over the roads leading to their community on each of their market days and rob people, adding that this explained why people had stopped coming to buy farm produce from their market.

“Also, each time we report cases to the police and they manage to send their men at all, the criminals beat them (policemen) up because they (criminals) parade more sophisticated weapons than what the policemen have. We needed police escort to get here (Maria Assumpta Cathedral) and we will also need them to go back home,” the women said.

An innocent man released after 30 years in prison in one of North Carolina’s longest-serving death row cases.The inmate was freed from prison Wednesday, a day after a judge overturned his conviction because of new DNA evidence in the case.

Henry McCollum, 50, walked out of Central Prison in Raleigh, hugged his mother and father and thanked God for his release.

His half brother, 46-year-old Leon Brown, also had his conviction in a 1983 rape and murder overturned on Tuesday. Brown was expected to be freed later Wednesday.

McCollum spoke briefly to reporters before getting into the passenger seat of his father’s car, where a reporter had to show him how to buckle the seat belt. He had never used a seat belt of that design.

It’s good news as the British nurse who contracted Ebola in Africa was released from hospital. He said today said he was “wonderfully lucky” to be alive .

The the 29-year-old nurse, William Pooley was the first Briton to contract the deadly Ebola virus and has made an great recovery just ten days after being flown from Sierra Leone to the Royal Free Hospital for life-saving treatment.


His words: “I was worried I was going to die,” he said. “I’m happy and relieved to be able to go home today.”

The medical team at the hospital in Hampstead treated Mr Pooley with the experimental drug ZMapp, the drug that was credited with saving the lives of two American missionaries, last month.

I would have said it's all rumour, if not that I have an actress as a friend.

It is great news for Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and his supporters as ‘Nuhu Ribadu 2015′ is becoming clearer. The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party today granted the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission a waiver, to contest in the primaries, for the Governorship race of Adamawa State.

The waiver was also granted to the former Lagos State military Governor, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (ret.) and Marcus Gundir in Abuja today.

The three governorship aspirants had requested the waivers to enable them contest the primaries after they recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP. Below is a copy of the press statement issued by the NWC of the PDP:

Adamawa: PDP NWC Clears All Aspirants To Participate In Nomination Process. Grants Waiver To Marwa, Gundiri, Ribadu The National Working Committee of the PDP at the end of its meeting on Friday, August 29, 2014, unanimously cleared all aspirants who expressed interest to contest the October 11 Adamawa State governorship election on the platform of the PDP to participate in the party’s nomination process. After very careful and thorough consideration of all applications and the report of the Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha-led Adamawa State PDP Governorship Waiver Committee, the NWC was satisfied that all the aspirants met the requirements stipulated by the PDP constitution to participate in the process. Consequently, waiver has been granted to General Buba Marwa, Engr. Marcus Gundiri and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to take part in the exercise. The NWC hereby restates its confidence in the leadership of the National Chairman, Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu in providing a level playing ground for all eligible citizens of the state to participate in the democratic process. Doctors are stunned by the a girl born with two faces and a body in India. They are battling to save the life of the miracle baby.

The miracle child, was born on August 22, 2014 in India. She is reported to be suffering from an extremely rare condition called craniofacial duplication. The child’s identity is not revealed, for legal reasons. The baby was born at the Civil Hospital of Khatav, India, with two mouths, two noses and four eyes but only one body. She is said to be in a very serious condition.

The condition affects only 1 in 100,000 babies and we have only 36 cases of such conditions in the world. None has so far survived.Dr Suresh Sirsat of Civil Hospital of Khatav, told RT News: ‘This baby is a serious case now and our pediatric is trying to save her life. Usually, the surviving chances of the babies are very low, but we are trying our best.’

Craniofacial duplication is also known as diprosopus, Greek for two-faced, and are usually stillborn. Babies suffering from craniofacial duplication usually have separate brains despite sharing one body.

There is no treatment for the condition.
