More and more people are paying for flights on private jets that are often available at competitive prices Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly, explained: ‘An empty leg comes about when a private jet is repositioning. ‘As the aircraft is flying empty, the owner or operator will often be happy to sell this one-way leg at a big discount – often a fraction of the full price. ‘Europe’s private jet traffic sees a significant peak in the summer, so there are many more empty leg flights available, and amazing deals to be had.’ With flexibility around what date you travel, and with a group large enough to offset the one-off chartering fee, everyday Britons are travelling at rates which can rival or better those of the budget airlines. A brief search today on private jet price comparison website Victor revealed you and six friends could travel from London to Corsica on Thursday – on board a Hawker 400XP – for just £1,650. That equates to just £235 per person. However, Clive Jackson, the chief executive of Victor, told The Sunday Times that empty-leg flights could be cancelled if the plans of the person chartering the plane at full price changed. ‘It is an unregulated industry and that worries me. ‘There are no obligations from the person selling you that plane as to what they have to disclose. ‘Beware of the fact that an empty leg can get cancelled an hour before you are due to fly on it and you have no redress whatsoever.’ Mr Twidell added: ‘If people are prepared to book last minute and travel as a group, the cost per person can be less than business class – or even low cost airlines in some cases. They are usually one-way flights and while a return flight can sometimes be matched up, others enjoy a private jet experience in one direction, and make their own way home. Private jets don’t have to just be for billionaires, VIPs and rock stars.’

An American Ebola virus patient, a doctor, who was serving in Liberia before contracting the deadly Ebola virus and was airlifted back to the United States for treatment, has just released a statement. He is currently in the isolation unit of Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital, where he is being treated. Doctor Kent Brantly, said in a statement on Friday he is “growing stronger every day.” Read statement below: “I am writing this update from my isolation room at Emory University Hospital, where the doctors and nurses are providing the very best care possible. I am growing stronger every day, and I thank God for His mercy as I have wrestled with this terrible disease. I also want to extend my deep and sincere thanks to all of you who have been praying for my recovery as well as for Nancy and for the people of Liberia and West Africa. My wife Amber and I, along with our two children, did not move to Liberia for the specific purpose of fighting Ebola. We went to Liberia because we believe God called us to serve Him at ELWA Hospital. One thing I have learned is that following God often leads us to unexpected places. When Ebola spread into Liberia, my usual hospital work turned more and more toward treating the increasing number of Ebola patients. I held the hands of countless individuals as this terrible disease took their lives away from them. I witnessed the horror first-hand, and I can still remember every face and name. When I started feeling ill on that Wednesday morning, I immediately isolated myself until the test confirmed my diagnosis three days later. When the result was positive, I remember a deep sense of peace that was beyond all understanding. God was reminding me of what He had taught me years ago, that He will give me everything I need to be faithful to Him. Now it is two weeks later, and I am in a totally different setting. My focus, however, remains the same – to follow God. As you continue to pray for Nancy and me, yes, please pray for our recovery. More importantly, pray that we would be faithful to God’s call on our lives in these new circumstances.” I’m so happy for him and his family. At least, one more person is saved. My question is this, why can’t this so called experimental serum be allowed into Africa? It’s a question of signing MOU to absolve the American government of any lawsuit, should anything go wrong. What is your opinion? Is it right to leave Africans to continue to die, when there’s a cure somewhere in America?

Dancing and waving rainbow-coloured flags, Ugandan activists held their first gay pride rally Saturday since the overturning of a tough anti-homosexuality law, which authorities have appealed. “This event is to bring us together. Everyone was in hiding before because of the anti-homosexuality law,” organiser Sandra Ntebi told AFP. “It is a happy day for all of us, getting together,” Ntebi said, noting that police had granted permission for the invitation-only “Uganda Pride” rally. The overturned law, condemned as “abominable” by rights groups but popular among many Ugandans, called for proven homosexuals to be jailed for life. The constitutional court threw it out on a technicality on August 1, six months after it took effect, and the government swiftly filed an appeal, while lawmakers have signed a petition for a new vote on the bill. Homosexuality remains illegal in Uganda, punishable by a jail sentence. But it is no longer illegal to promote homosexuality, and Ugandans are no longer obliged to denounce gays to the authorities. Amid music and laughter, activists gathered at botanical gardens on the shores of Lake Victoria, barely a kilometre (half a mile) from the presidential palace at Entebbe, a key town some 35 kilometres from the capital Kampala. “Some Ugandans are gay. Get over it,” read one sticker a man had pasted onto his face. - ‘Now I have the courage’ - Ugandan Deputy Attorney General Fred Ruhinda said Saturday that state lawyers had lodged an appeal against the ruling at the Supreme Court, the country’s highest court. “We are unsatisfied with the court ruling,” Ruhinda told AFP. “The law was not intended to victimise gay people, it was for the common good.” In their surprise ruling last week, judges said it had been passed without the necessary quorum of lawmakers in parliament. Rights groups said the law triggered a sharp increase in arrests and assaults on members of the country’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Homophobia is widespread in Uganda, where American-style evangelical Christianity is on the rise. Gay men and women face frequent harassment and threats of violence. On Saturday, however, activists celebrated openly. “Since I discovered I was gay I feared coming out, but now I have the courage after the law was thrown out,” Alex Musoke told AFP, one of more than 100 people at the event. One pair of activists waved a rainbow flag with a slogan appealing for people to “join hands” to end the “genocide” of homosexuals. Some wore masks for fear of being identified — Uganda’s tabloid newspapers have previously printed photographs of prominent activists — while others showed their faces openly and wore colourful fancy dress. But activist Pepe Onziema said he and his colleagues would not rest until they were sure the law was gone for good. “Uganda is giving a bad example, not only to the region but to the world, by insisting on this law,” he said. “We are Africans, we want to show an African struggle by civil society.” There was little police presence, and no one came to protest the celebration, even if many in the town said they did not approve. “This is unbelievable, I can’t imagine being a gay,” said motorbike taxi driver William Kamurasi in disgust. “It’s a shame to Uganda. Police must stop these activities of the gays.” - Lawmakers demand new vote - Critics said President Yoweri Museveni signed the law to win domestic support ahead of a presidential election set for 2016, which will be his 30th year in power. But it lost him friends abroad, with several international donors freezing or redirecting millions of dollars of government aid, saying the country had violated human rights and democratic principles. US Secretary of State John Kerry likened the law to anti-Semitic legislation in Nazi Germany. Analysts suggest that Museveni secretly encouraged last week’s court ruling as it provided a way to avoid the appearance of caving in to foreign pressure. But gay rights activists warn the battle is not over. Lawmakers signed a petition calling for a new vote on the bill, and to bypass parliamentary rules that require it be formally reintroduced from scratch — a process that could take years.

A lesson big lesson. Everything we need, to make money is right there within us. We only need to look within us. Dygeasy: It's really brilliant. Lol! A book of 'selfies'. Only for Obodo'yinbo. |
Kim Kardashian is proving to be a great businesswoman, who can’t stop making money. From her reality TV show on the Entertainment channel Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK) to her clothing line, among others. Recently, I reported she’s due to rake in a cool $200 million from Kim Kardashian video game. The businesswoman instinct of Kim Kardashian is so amazing that now, she wants to turn all her selfies into a book. You will agree with me that Kim is a Goddess of Selfies. She know she has a great body and she is turning it into a business. She has had it all. Her bikini selfies, mirror selfies, cleavage selfies, selfies showing her lips, selfies of her bum, selfies showing her wit her adorable baby North and many more. Her new business innovation was disclosed in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashian. In the episode, the reality TV star discloses she has signed a deal with Rizzoli’s Universe imprint for a 352-page selfies book, according to E! News. They have christened the selfies book ‘Selfish’. The hardcover book will be sold for $19.95. The star recently confessed to taking 1,200 selfies during a trip to Thailand. The selfies business idea came when she couldn’t get anything for Kanye. Her words: ‘I couldn’t think of what to get Kanye and so I was like, ‘All guys love it when a girl sends them sexy pics,’” she tells Brody, Kylie and Bruce Jenner during the episode of KUWTK. “So I had Stephanie [her assistant] get a Polaroid and we were taking photos around the entire house. Making this cool book and it ended up turning out so cool we came up with this idea to do a selfie book so I’m going to make some super racy.” Some people say Kim kardashian, has a net worth of $65 million, is just popular for being popular, I disagree totally with that. It’s not about the selfies… anybody can take selfies, but the business sense behind it. The ability to think in that direction. The ability to see and opportunity and availing yourself of it. She is fast turning into a one of the greatest businesswomen of our time. It’s only a matter of time. Kim is rumored to have made $18 million off endorsements and TV rights to her wedding. As at the time of writing this post, Kim Kardashian rakes in between $25 million and $30 million dollars per year from her empire which now includes a cosmetics line, personal appearance fees, television salary, and retail endorsements. The book is scheduled to hit the shelves in 2015. Photo Credit: kimkardashian.com - See more at: http://seunsblog.com/kim-kardashian-businesswoman/#sthash.BmyihobR.dpuf

" Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'i'm possible" - Audrey Hepburn Life is full of possibilities, but, we deliberately add ‘Im’ to it. Even after that, the word is still saying ‘I’m possible’. We add it to it because we want the easy way out. We love our comfort zone. We’re afraid of the unknown. Because of the above reasons, we conclude easily that a certain goal is just impossible. Ask yourself why you are afraid? Is that task really impossible? Yet, we find problem where there’s none. We manufacture problems simply because we don’t want to take risk. Wait a sec, someone has done it before. Someone has achieved that feat before. If it’s done before, it can be done again. Even if it’s never been done, you can be the first. I put it to you today, there is nothing impossible in this world, so long you put your mind to it. Channel all your energy towards it. Read every readable on the goal you set for yourself. Thank God for the internet, every information you need is readily available. Do your research thoroughly. The word impossible shouldn’t appear in your dictionary, when you have an aim. Everything is possible. Audrey Hepburn does it for me today: ” Nothing Is Impossible”

He couldn't have been that stupid to sign someone without potentials. Probably, people just don't wanna warm up to her songs. Pls correct me, if I'm wrong. |
No big deal, to be honest. let's just leave it as it is. |
I am a 33-year-old Nigerian lady who is married to a 33-year-old Nigerian boy….Yes boy. We met when we were very young and we have 2 kids together. We live in different countries,I live in Nigeria and he lives in Canada. He is the most irresponsible man I have come across. He only comes home once in 3 years and does not send money for the kids upkeep at all. The thing is, I can’t travel, so it makes it very difficult. I am tired of praying and fasting and hoping for a change. All he does is drink and party, he is more bothered about looking good, wearing all the designers in the world and taking ladies around. The truth is I am fed up with the whole thing, because I feel like a single mother and I really do not have a life anymore and to be honest, my ears are full. He is the biggest liar in the world. My family is telling me to be patient and that he will change. I am still young and pretty. I know I can still have a shot at life. I am tired and confused as to the next step to take. I need serious advice please. - See more at: http://seunsblog.com/dear-readers-leave-husband-stick/#sthash.YFDpyFfC.dpuf |
As we all know, the world is becoming more and more competitive by the day. In a world where you can not afford to relax for a year, otherwise you will become obsolete. We’re churning out graduates every year and the jobs just aren’t there. What do we do? The educational system the world over, doesn’t prepare students to be entrepreneurs, but, to be job seekers. As graduates, we need to make ourselves more marketable. In light of this, let us consider these 7 salients points, among others, to help us achieve our aim: office-1(1) Be an expert in your chosen field. There is a serious competition in the employment market these days. This is so because there is always a thousand people with the same qualification, experience etc. To make it worse, some might even work longer, for less pay. In summary, everyone is dispensable .So you need to make yourself an asset to the company. You need to constantly upgrade yourself. You should do something different. You should get yourself noticed. You should be an expert in your chosen field, not just good at it,because, being good is not enough in today’s world. (2) Be passionate. It is always good to find a job that fulfills your passion. They say, what you would do for free, is what you should do for a career. You would agree with me,when I say it doesn’t always work out that way. If you are not passionate about your job, I’m sure you can find a little passion in it. You either apply the skills acquired on your current job to your passion,or you simply see what you do, as a learning curve, towards achieving your dream. As they say, ‘no knowledge is lost’.There is always something to learn in whatever you do. Note, your current situation is a step in the right direction. It’s up to you to recognize the hidden gain. (3) Be cautious with money. The first thing is to understand your income and expenses. You should know where your money goes. You should have a budget and you mustn’t go over it. If you can’t live the same lifestyle, three months after a job loss, there’s a problem. It’s advisable to have an emergency fund, to help you handle the loss of a job. It is always better to look for another job, while you’re still working. It gives you the chance to be selective and negotiate, when looking for a job, rather than settling. (4) Clean up your social media footprint. Professionalism counts. Talk about emails, facebook, twitter, blogs etc.. everything has got to be professional. This day and age, your activities are public. Your social media activities speak volume about you.People judge you, most times, using your social media footprints. You are a brand yourself,Coca Cola is a world brand today, as a result of the efforts put into it, by the founders. Both online and offline,be clean. You just never know. (5) Utilize social media . I can’t stress this enough. Be readily available, perhaps, on all the major social media platforms around. This point lays more emphasis on point number four above. You can post your resumes, make short presentations of yourself, about what you have to offer etc. Head hunters might even call you for an interview, out of the blues. Social media isn’t all about photos or gist, make the best use of them. (6) Be a leader. Being a leader doesn’t have anything to do with title or position. The security guard can be more of a leader, than the CEO of the company. Assume responsibilities without being asked,do what is necessary, even if it means putting your needs aside for the good of the company’s mission. Set good example for people to see, even your bosses. Trust me, they see everything. Doing stuff without any compensation can be hard to take. In the end, everything goes into your file. It prepares you for the future too. (7) Develop your negotiating skills. After taking on board all the points listed above, you have put yourself in a great position to negotiate your future. For example,a product still has to be advertised, marketed before being sold eventually. Consumers have to know that a product exists, where to buy it,how much it costs etc.. before they can buy it. Your negotiating skill comes in handy, when you need to sell yourself. You should be able to get the best deal for yourself. You should be able to renegotiate you wages, because, you have turned yourself into a quality product. No employer will offer you an increase of 40% unless you ask for it Try get yourself to the level where you tell your employers you want to leave and they ask ‘why’ and not ‘when’. Where they ask you how much you want, for a raise. We are all still learning, if you have other tips you want to add, please put in the comment space below. - See more at: http://seunsblog.com/7-tips-make-marketable-employment-market/#sthash.PfYNdC7M.dpuf |

I've not been following the Adamawa saga. Can anyone pls summarize what led to the impeachment. I don't know weather to be sad or happy now. Thanks guys |
Does it really matter? The so called educated ones in government today are the ones mismanaging our economy. The problem is not the educational background. It's not about BSc or HND. It's about orientation, fear of God, good character, good conscience etc. It's time for us to know what is important. |

Why do ladies who can't find a man or ladies who are old yet single, try to justify their status? They keep saying they are happy when all they do is jump into the hands of the most available gentleman. Being single is never a crime. |
Hi, are these really true? I do not believe and I will tell you why. How can we know all these truths and nobody is saying anything? Why are we plastering it on the internet and not on the streets? If we know all these and we're not on the streets now, fighting for our future and that of our kids, something is wrong somewhere. They're probably not true...... Sorry Baby mama: The massive looting of Lagos state by the Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has reached monumental proportion. Tinubu whose companies recently conered a multi billion road construction job in Ogun State, has in his pocket all the juicy contract in all the Action Congress’ states. |
Bomb all? Bomb who exactly? Who is bombing who? Where do we drop the bombs?..... So many questions to be asked. And the symbol of our security isn't saying anything other than setting up committees. I pray Sirniyeh: Hi, |
I do not know why we are talking about the Chibok girls at all now. I know I'm sounding insensitive,no, I'm just angry. Truth is, we don't ever finish anything in Nigeria. Tell me one protest we've ever finished, with result. When was the last time we saw a fresh #Bringbackourgirls banner? Most of the ones we got were just publicity stunts by those celebrities. That's typical of us. The Nigerian government know us very well. They knew it's only a matter of time, we'll soon forget about the girls. Do we think the government cant honestly fight Boko Haram, if they choose? Forget about Obasanjo's methods, do we think Boko Haram can thrive under him? Where are the so called Americans, French, Germans etc? I just pray for the families of the girls. May the good Lord help them in these hard times. www.seunsblog.com |
This is the part i don't get, why do these guys have to fight over money all the time? It's common with African and 'Third world' teams. Last week, about $3million has to be flown in for the Ghanaian team, on the orders of the president, when they threatened to shun their last group match.( www.seunsblog.com). This isn't good enough. What exactly is the problem pls? |
