A 30 year old woman has spent over £130,000 on plastic surgery to transform herself into a £10 cartoon drawing of herself that she posed for in Ibiza when she was just 15, Dailymail reports.

To have the body of her dreams, she’s had to go through series of procedures that include, five breast augmentations, lip injections, botox, teeth whitening and semi-permanent make-up. Salon owner Krystina Butel even has heart-shaped nipples to complete the ‘cartoon’ look.

Krystina, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire said: ‘When I saw the caricature for the first time on holiday, I was jealous of it. She was so glamorous. She was everything that I wanted to be.

‘It was like she was holding the carrot out to me, showing me what I could be.

‘Over the years, I’ve spent more and more on beauty treatments and surgery so I can look just like her.’

‘My caricature keeps me going with my dream. She looks exactly how I want to look like. I know I’m closer to it now than I was fifteen years ago but there’s always something else I can get in terms of surgery to be more like it.

‘I can always rely on my caricature to show me what I need to do next. I never think that I’m done for good with my plastic surgery. She shows me that there’s never enough.’

Her 41 year old fiancee, David Scriven, is in full support of her numerous surgeries. Doorman David, from the Wirral, Merseyside, said: ‘I always encourage Krystina to do what she wants. We talk about her future procedures together and I’m happy for her to go for it.

A British nurse, William Pooley, 29, who contracted the Ebola virus while in Sierra Leone has landed in the UK, after being airlifted back to London. This would be the first case of Ebola in the UK.

He was described as a ‘remarkable young man’ and a natural leader by an American scientist who worked at the same hospital in Kenema. ‘He had taken on a very big role,’ said Robert F Garry, a professor in microbiology at Tulane University in New Orleans.

‘We’ve lost several other nurses including the head nurse who lost her battle against ebola.

‘He was very well liked by all the nurses and had taken on a pivotal role. Some people are just marked out as leaders and he led the nurses. He was a very hard worker and they looked up to him.’

Mr Pooley last night arrived back to London in an isolation sack for treatment at the Royal Free Hospital in Northholt, north London.

Gabriel Madiye, Mr Pooley’s boss at another Sierra Leone clinic, said: ‘Will wanted to go to Kenema and help the patients at the hospital there.

‘I told him not to go, but Will said he felt a very strong responsibility to the patients there as they were being abandoned by doctors and nurses who were fearful of contracting the ebola virus.

‘I told him he would not be able to withstand the disease but he said he had to go.’

Mr Pooley’s doctors are said to be confident that, with urgent medical attention, he has a good chance of fighting the disease.

No disrespect to the dead, Dr Adadevoh was a true Nigerian, no doubt.

What's all these calls for a National Honour? Honour for what? She was a great doctor who did her job diligently.

Since when does that qualifies you for a National honour? What about others who died serving in various capacities? What about the soldiers? The policemen and women? What about those fighting boko haram everyday?

I'm not saying it's a crime to honour her and that she doesn't deserve it. Let's not allow some punks to use the death of an innocent and great woman like Dr Adadevoh to score some cheap political point.

Please, let us respectfully mourn a great Nigerian abeg.

A 37-year-old woman from Newton, Iowa, USA, was arrested on child endangerment charges after her 11 year old gets pregnant. She allowed an adult man sleep with her daughter, despite warnings.

The woman was arrested on Friday for investigation that revealed she did nothing to stop 24-year-old Jacob White, a family friend, from sharing her then-11-year-old daughter’s bed.

The MailOnline did not release the woman’s name to protect the identity of her daughter due to the nature of the crime.

The mother ignored warnings from neighbours that White was sleeping with her daughter. The little girl even tried to call her attention to the ugly incident, still she did not listen.

According to police, the victim also tried to tell her mother about White’s behavior, but the woman would not listen.

When a recent doctor’s visit revealed that the young girl was expecting, the 12-year-old allegedly said to her mother:’I tried to tell you several times,’ stated a police report obtained by Newton Daily News.

Jacob White now faces a third-degree sexual abuse charge for allegedly impregnating the child.

The Newton woman’s neighbors told WHO-TV they were not surprised by the allegations against her, claiming that her house is known in the area as a place where random people come and go at all hours of the day.

New fact has emerged about the cause of the Ebola virus outbreak in Sierra Leone. According to health officials, the outbreak need never have spread from Guinea, health officials revealed to AFP, except for a herbalist in the remote eastern border village of Sokoma.

“She was claiming to have powers to heal Ebola. Cases from Guinea were crossing into Sierra Leone for treatment,” Mohamed Vandi, the top medical official in the hard-hit district of Kenema, told AFP.

“She got infected and died. During her funeral, women around the other towns got infected.”

Africans have turned to God, in the fight against Ebola virus. many have turned to churches, mosques and even native voodoo medicine.

Joshua announced in The SCOAN Saturday Prayer Line that 4,000 bottles of New Anointing Water have arrived in the nation of Sierra Leone, alongside $50,000 in humanitarian aid, to support the ongoing crises there caused by the disease of Ebola,” stated a post on the Facebook page of TB Joshua Ministries.

“The Anointing Water was sent in a private jet that cost an additional $50,000 to charter, making $100,000 given by Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV Partners to reach out to the troubled nation,” it added.

The United Nations Ebola virus coordinator is to visit West Africa. According to the world body, David Nabarro, will be visiting very soon to help determine the strategies that the global body can deploy to support people, communities and governments affected by the deadly disease in West Africa.


The Ebola virus coordinator said at a press conference said that he will have “intensive interactions” on Wednesday with the World Bank, experts from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others before flying to Dakar, Senegal on Wednesday.
Mr David Nabarro will visit four West African countries; Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

Mr David Nabarro was appointed last week.

The National Conference in its final report approved the new states to be created in Nigeria. The CONFAB approved the creation of 18 additional states to bring the number of states in the country to 54.

The recommendation was made by the Committee on Political Restructuring and Forms of Government jointly headed by Ike Nwachukwu and Mohammed Kumalia.

Ameyo Adadevoh DiesNigeria mourns as Dr Ameyo Adadevoh dies. Nigerian Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has announced the death of the first doctor who attended to Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer, who brought Ebola virus into Nigeria.


Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh is an experienced consultant physician and endocrinologist was Lead Consultant with First Consultants Medical Centre, Obalende, Lagos.

She led the medical team that attended to the Ebola virus infected Liberian man, when he fell ill on getting to Nigeria.

Her death has brought the total Ebola death in Nigeria to five. We have also recorded five Ebola virus survivors too.

She was a hero, a giant, a true Nigerian. She exactly represents why I still have hope in my country, Nigeria.

She's survived by a son and her husband.

She will be greatly missed.

Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, has warned politicians to expect a bombshell after the 2015 elections. The disclosure was made at a book launch yesterday. Oba Akiolu said this, while reacting to a statement credited to a fellow monarch, claiming only two of the country’s prominent monarchs were free of corruption. He spoke at the public presentation of a book, entitled: ‘Corruption and Human Rights Law in Africa,’ authored by Dr. Kolawole Olaniyan of the Amnesty International in Lagos.

His words: “The monarch that made the statement that I lifted oil will be shocked when I make certain revelations after the 2015 elections and I think he should close his eyes in shame because as at that time, I was still serving in the Nigeria Police and I wonder how I could have such time to be involved in the lifting of oil. “One person does not cause the problem of corruption. So, nobody should blame President Goodluck Jonathan for the problems in Nigeria, as about 99 per cent of us are guilty of the syndrome of corruption. So, everyone should be involved in the fight against corruption. “All hands must be on deck to assist the government to bring corruption to an end. We should forget the past and face the future by contributing to the future of the nation,” Oba of Lagos stated.

It's good news as Liberian officials track down Ebola virus victims who fled an Ebola quarantine centre. They have been tracked down and brought back under observation.

On Saturday, armed men claiming that there’s no Ebola in West Africa and Liberia raided a quarantine centre for the deadly disease in Monrovia overnight, prompting at least 20 patients infected with the deadly virus to flee, a witness said Sunday.
“They broke down the door and looted the place. The patients have all gone,” said Rebecca Wesseh, who witnessed the attack and whose report was confirmed by residents and the head of Health Workers Association of Liberia, George Williams.
It wasn’t clear how many of those who fled had been tracked down or how authorities were identifying them. There are concerns that the raid could fuel the spread of Ebola in a slum where at least 50,000 people live. Police said the looters stole bloody sheets and mattresses, which could carry the infection.

The former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has just picked up the Peoples Democratic Party’s Expression of Interest form to enable him contest the governorship primary of the party in Adamawa State.

The form was picked on his behalf by one of his political aides, Alhaji Hamidu Mahmoud at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

The party will end sale of form to its governorship aspirants on August 19, 2014.

Foremost writer, poet and actor, Adebayo Faleti, has dismissed a rumour going round that he is dead.

There were some reports early today – Monday – that the legendary artist, who had been slowed down by an ailment, had passed on.

But it was a healthy Faleti that spoke to our correspondent in a telephone interview on Monday afternoon.

“I am alive,” he said in Yoruba.

“I am alive. Long life will be my lot.”

Meanwhile, it was gathered on Monday that it was another leading Yoruba culture promoter, Chief Supo Koseemani, that died.

Speaking in a telephone interview with foremost scholar and writer, Prof. Akinwumi Osola, he noted that it was information on Koseemani’s death that some people were misinterpreting.

Isola, an associate of Faleti, said, “Baba Faleti is still very much alive. Many people have called to me to inquire about the state of things with him. He is still very much alive. It is true that he had been indisposed for some time. But he has got better now.

“The person who has passed on is Alagba Supo Koseemani, the specialist in Yoruba proverbs. I gathered that he passed on in Ibadan on Sunday.”

Rolf Buchholz, the world’s most pierced man, has been barred from coming into Dubai and was turned back at the airport before his planned appearance at a night club.
Authorities have given no reason for refusing entry to the 53-year-old German, who sports 453 piercings plus two horns on his forehead.
Buccholz was scheduled to appear at the Cirque Le Soir nightclub at the Fairmont Hotel on Shaikh Zayed Road as part of its Freaks and Beats night on Friday.

The woman attacked with acid by boyfriend, has spoken out again. Ms Paulina Imuere, 41, was bathed with acid on August 28, 2010. Her lover poured acid on her and disfigured her.

The attack took place around 4 a.m. on the 27th August 2010. She just came back from a church programme and the acid incident occurred. Her boyfriend, Mr. Difference Ogba is now serving a ten-year jail term in Okere prison in Warri after he was convicted by the High Court at Otu-Jeremi.

The attack left Paulina blind with one eye completely chopped off by the acid and the other blind but with chance to be restored.

Her two nostrils are also damaged with her skull grafted in efforts to save her.

Saturday Vanguard visited the woman at her Okuokoko residence: According to her, “ my elder sister, Mrs. Kate Agbavwre and members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and Church of God mission have been helping me and I have great hope that help will come one day. I can still see again. Doctor confirmed that I can still see again but at a very high cost. My faith is stronger now as I have taken God as my father.

“If Ogba repents and God forgives him, it is good for him. I have forgiven him, for pouring acid on me. God is the true judge. I leave him to his God. The incident has changed my perception about life and my faith in God has grown.”

A website has been launched in the US where householders and renters can check whether their home has a deadly history.

The site Diedinhouse.com allows residents to enter their home address and discover whether someone died inside and under what circumstances.

Users get a series of instant reports stating previous people associated with the property and whether they are dead or alive. If they are dead – if records are available – it will give details on how and when they died. Reports cost around £7 ($12) a time but are cheaper if more searches are performed.

Diedinhouse.com currently has more than 118 million public and private records and it is expected to grow even further in the next few years.

Some records date back to the 1800s and 1940s but the majority are from the 80s.

Roy Condrey, the website’s founder and president, told Daily News: ‘Before you bought a house, would you want them to disclose that there was a murder-suicide in that house?’

He explained the case of Catrina McGraw, a woman in Missouri who was watching a documentary about a serial Killer only to realise that she lived in his former torture dungeon.

‘I always wanted to be a designer but after the attack there was a pause in my life. I was so insecure and embarrassed by my scars I used to cover my face with a scarf. I always hung onto my dream but I never knew that one day it would be possible and I would be launching my own label.’

Rupa(in white) was asleep in August 2008 when her stepmother threw acid on her face. She was found guilty and sentenced to prison but she is now free and living her life with no signs of remorse after serving just 18 months.
