Sorry to butt in, i just need some clarification.

Why is it that whenever the discussion tends towards requesting advice on the lexus IS350, the most common comment is 'the engine is 1million naira, get the is250'?

Is it that the engine is unreliable, and would need to be replaced frequently? I think (stand to be corrected) that the engine of those cars should - with proper timely maintenance, which shouldn't be that hard since you can afford the car initially - be able to last the lifetime of the car, considering the lexus/Toyota reliability reputation.

I'm just always surprised when the engine price is the first thing that comes up as a factor for not picking the car, is there a problem somewhere?

When buying a car, somethings need to be put into consideration... Maintaining the Engine is not a big deal... But what if the Mechanic mess up with the engine?... What if accident occur and the engine needs replacement... This are the things I consider.... The engine is strong and durable....

Logobenz, Chelseafan1,oluwaseunla, motorguru ... Please come and explain ESL lock for intending Benz buyer.. C300

DAVE5:
I was using an is250, gave my mec to sell it cos it has come of age in my hand, so I want to switch to the benzo(always had crush on the c300, but not in any a Benz fan, I so much hate the gear lever being mounted on the steering component)

But with what I’m readin here, some comments on Benz dey scare me... wondering if I can enjoy for 4-5 years without issues asides normal maintenance

always loved Lexus from childhood but just want to experience something new

If you’re getting the Benz. I’ve read a post here about the stearing getting locked and it cost about 200k to get it done. I’m sure the Benz gurus will explain better.

DAVE5:
This one you’re saying this, I had already negotiated a Benz c300 to be picked by Friday, bros advice me, shei make I jejely use the money buy is350 ni cos I wld be using the car as a daily for at least the next one year before buying any second car

IS350 Engine is over 1 million Naira. Why not go for IS250 the engine is less than 200K.

Not true though just cos Ireland is RHD country does not mean all cars made there is RHD, for example the range rover sport is a good example,

LHD Range Rovers are made for foreign markets and not for use in the UK. Mercedes Benz also produce RHD for foreign markets and not used in Germany.

I have 1.2 do the sky blue. Where in PH is it located?

Good morning gurus in the house. pls how do I know a car dealer truly paid all the duties on a vehicle?

and a Toyota Corolla manufactured in Europe(Ireland) is it a good buy?

Thanks

I think Ireland is right hand drive. If I’m right then it is converted to left hand drive. Look for cars from other countries that are left hand drive like Nigeria to avoid stories that touch.

What happened to Honda? Wakanda prices are they going for these days

Nothing happened to them. If not that our currency is not valuable anymore. A Naija Used 2008 car shouldn’t be more than 600k.

nymphomaniac:
Hi guys, good morning. I am thinking of buying a Hyundai Elantra 2010 manual transmission that my boss wants to sell at 200k. The snag is that the Brain box or ECU has been bad for years so the car has been parked for quite a while. Is it a good bargain? I hear the ECU is difficult to find and costs about 200k as well...kindly advise me pls.

Run. Because the engine is around 500-600k. Ask yourself can you afford that? Excluding other expenses.

That is the norm in Nigeria. Even the presidency celebrate 100days in office

It’s a useless norm. Our leaders are Useless like P in Psychology

niaralandtopuser:
So you expect a new government to start and finish a road project in 100days?

Why is a government that’s more than 4 years celebrating 100 days in office?

Pavarottii:
.
Started last term but they av not been commissioned.
They r new.

Can we say He commissioned some of His Predecessors project during his 100 days celebration in 2015?

Pavarottii:
80% of the project are new projects...

Wike is the real deal...

85% of those projects you post here were started during his first tenure.

niaralandtopuser:
Which one did your state governor start and complete during that period

You see how deluded you’re. I live, work and pay my Tax in Rivers State. None of those project you posted i don’t know about. I asked a simple question Which one of them was started and finished after 29/5/2019. Non.

kingreign:
Fixed!

Thanks....

Nice One.... But Please which of the Projects was started and completed after May 29, 2019?

I want to make a choice between Toyota Highlander (btw 2005-2008) and Acura MDX (2007 -2008) and I need those that have first-hand experience to share their view in order to enable me to make an informed decision.

I like the way Acura MDX 2007 upward looks. Both the interior and exterior make sense to me compare to Toyota Highlander of the same year. I don't want to make a decision based on design alone, I want people with first-hand experience to advise me based on:

Drive, durability, maintenance, fuel economy and share other personal experience etc.

Your advice would be highly appreciated.

Drive - Acura
Durability- Acura
Maintenance- Highlander
Fuel Economy- Highlander
Cheap/Availability of parts - Highlander
Body Aging - Highlander
Resale Value- Highlander.

Don’t be sad. Wike got your vote and not your opinion. That’s the true attitude of Naija politicians.

What your take on a Pontiac Vibe 06 model?

Pontiac Vibe is Toyota Matrix in another body. The only difference is that Pontiac Vibes body parts are so expensive. Go for Matrix.

Stormyweather:
Hello,

Anyone using toyota highlander here who can share his fuel experience?
I use 5k fuel for about 130km with traffic and A/C on. Is this ok?

The engine is i4

To get accurate MPG. Fill up your tank and set the trip A on the Odometer to zero. Once the fuel gauge gets to the middle m, you check the number on the trip A. By doing this you can get to know if your vehicle consumes excess fuel.

Thisis2raw:
that's a federal road, state can't fix anything in that road without FG approval

In 2015. Wike went to the multinational companies in that axis and asked them to provide some amount of money for the repair of the road. But issues came up when the State Government directed them to pay them the money instead of paying to a contractor that will Work on the road.
