savenaijatoday:I did not vote in the last elections and I have no expectations. Anybody that tells he's going to transform Nigeria into an El dorado if he is made President is a lier, we've had presidents and governors since 1999, has there ever been a time since 1999 when Nigerians did not complain about Hunger, lack of jobs, corruption, epileptic power and a myriad of problems? If you're made President today, Nigerians will still complain about those things, some of the presidential candidate in the last elections held positions in different capacities before 2023, are their states or constituents better than other persons in Nigeria? talk is very cheap and this is politics. |

I don't believe he's a mistake, he's doing his best, talk Is cheap and it's easy to seat on a high horse to criticize. Do you know how big Nigeria is? Do you know the kind of information the President is inundated with daily. |

Politics / What Exactly Does Nigerian Politicians Do For The Masses? by tk003(m): 9:21pm On Apr 29 |
Sometimes I just sit and wonder what exactly is the use of our politicians because almost all of them operates far bellow average. Someone will be a Governor for 8 years and no any meaningful development both in capital or human derived afterwards from his governance. What exactly did he do for those 8 years? Enriching himself? Some can't even pay full salary to workers for their 8 years of governance but their own salaries and exurbitant allowances will be paid to them in full. Some even alloted pensions for themselves at the end of their gross mismanagement and incompetent governance. talk of Rep. members, some of them have expensive cars bought with looted funds whose worth is enough to sink boreholes in every nooks and cranies of their constituencies, renovates schools, build clinics, e.tc. Or is it Ministers that will loot every Kobo alloted to them to carryout works or projects. What exactly do we have these people for? No good roads, no adequately equipped hospital - I saw a post earlier on where a teaching hospital MRI machine has been faulty in Oyo State and it just left to be like that. And you will be surprised if the government of this said state is to be investigated, you will be surprised how many MRI machines is in the pocket of someone in that goverment. In another state a governor is said to have stolen N80B. And it's the same looting in going on in almost all states. How many projects will N80B covers in a state? How many schools will it renovate? How many years of outstanding gratuities of retired workers will it pay? No water, no light, dirty streets. Infact they failed in providing adequate security in the Nation they loot so much from. It's like they want to finish looting and run away. I just can't comprehend. What exactly is the use of these politicians?

Politics / Re: Fulani Herdsmen menace.....the Truth No One Want To Say. by WizardOfNG: 8:24pm On Apr 29 |
being: Another good post. Let me add that we should also look at what our elected leaders in the South do as well since they know more than us. Akeredolu, till his death, squarely took the battle to Northerner sponsoring terror and arming Fulani herders. He even threatened to buy AK47 for Amotekun to make it a fair fight since it seems every Fulani carries an AK47 or even more lethal weapons. At no point, to show such was never a major threat worth focusing on, did Akeredolu, Makinde and co ever talk of Southern indigenes involvement as the OP is trying to convince us is a major contributor to the insurgent menace of Fulanis across the South. I really don't know the OP's motivation but his effort to rope in Southerners as self-serving saboteurs and major players in the Fulani brigandage of the South seems really uninformed to me. It should be obvious to anyone fairly knowledgeable and up to speed with events that what we see in the South and Middle belt today is an attempt to replicate in the South and Middle belt what has now become a way of life in the core North, and nations across the Sahels in Sub-Saharan Africa. Put simplistically, it is a grand conspiracy, abetted and sustained even beyond the borders of Africa, to make Nigeria part or even headquarters of the Sahel confederation of Islamic Nations, shown below, by force. It is not a joke to trivialise with uninformed and grossly inaccurate theories. I personally think most Nigerians don't know the seriousness of what we are playing with. 1 Like
