Reports say Chief Tony Anenih, a former Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is dead. The respected politician who was fondly called ‘Mr Fix it’, was said to have died in a private hospital in London at the age of 82. He reportedly collapsed on Sunday morning while taking breakfast at his Durham Broadway private London house. Anenih acted as the state chairman of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) between 1981 and 1983, when he helped Dr Samuel Ogbemudia become elected as civilian governor of the old Bendel state. He became the national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) from 1992 to 1993, when he assisted in the election Chief M K O Abiola as president. Anenih was a member of the PDM until early April 2002, when he transferred to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and masterminded the 26 April 2002 declaration of the President Obasanjo at the international conference center Abuja. https://www.naij.com/819492-ex-pdp-bot-chairman-tony-anenih-reportedly-dies-london.html?
