The money that you used to buy data and the time you spent typing this epistle would have paid the 1k that your landlady is asking for. You are probably a young man. The biggest asset you have now is your time. It's obvious that the landlady wants to waste your time for reasons best known to her. Pay her the 1k, so she can leave you to use your time to plan your life.

Leave the young or not young out of this. I am not against paying, But why will one pay same bill twice in a month? Are electricity bills paid twice in a month?

When we refuse to question things, it continues to eat deep and escalate. I don't do that to my tenants. I follow deals as written. If she wants free money, she can ask and I'll give her because I do that to some of my neighbors i meet each day I come back from work or trip. But how do I justify being taxed for same thing twice in a month? I don't print money.
