If this is true all we can hope for is that the u.s doesn't use this as an excuse to evade Nigeria and we all know what will happen to all the oil if they do.

Some people justify fraud by regarding it as pay back for slavery and all the drama the white man cause.

PoliticsRe: I am Tired Of This Country (Nigeria) by segun06: 2:46am On Feb 14, 2006
I think we need someone who can organize a rally in front of the senate building or the house of reps. and demand a better standard of living for the people of naija. And then why stop there, maybe we should rally infront of the African Union head quarters (whereever that is) and demand a better standard of living for all Africans.
I know it sounds impossible, but if we truly are the descendants of the same people who built the mighty pyramids, then whats holding us back.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Calls! - "Arise O Compatriots, Nigeria's Call Obey!" by segun06: 2:16am On Feb 14, 2006
I totally agree with the first few paragraphs of your article, but i do not believe in religion. I think religion is just another form of "segregation". Nigeria is too devised to have religions, especially now, when we need everyone to come together as one and fight for what is right.

PoliticsRe: Are You Proud Of Nigeria? by segun06: 12:46am On Feb 09, 2006
Right now, I must confess, I'm not too proud of being an African. I say African becuase, over here in the U.S people don't think of Africa as a continent, they think of it as a place filled with "bush people".  And i'm even more ashamed to be a Nigerian because we spend so much time trying to be something we are not. While the thing we are trying to be thinks are nothing but a couple of helpless illiterate.
Hope to see an Africa we all can b proud of some day.

he even commended daddy showkey, and others and dissed the sh** out of that tout. yes he basically called him that...and the presenter was like
"why didnt you shoot him "
"yeah young buck was about to but i camed  him down"
Did anyone ever ask the question:  I wonder what would happen if it was vice versal?  As in if it was eedris that was in Yankee and 50 cent dissed him.  What do you think would have happened?  Lets be real, the only way we can ever hope to be as great as the AMERICANS(and i do admit they are great) is to believe-in and support oursleves.  If we don't who will.
I'm disappointed that we can't support our fellow NIGERIANS, but still when everything goes bad we blame it on the government (not saying they are the best).
PoliticsTen Tips On How To Be A Better Nigerian. by segun06(op): 3:09am On Jan 05, 2006
1. Buy made in Nigeria goods, whenever you can afford to.
2. Try to be part of the solution and not the problem.
3. Support your country and compatriots. Don't be a sell-out.
4. Don't supress your creativity/ideas, you just might be the next Mandela.
5. Love your neighbour as yourself. You never know who will help you out.
6. Do not put all your eggs in one basket.
7. Look at what other countries that are developed are doing right and try to promote it around your environment.
8. Do not be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. Be the Columbus of our generation.
9. Be yourself. DOn't let anything or anyone tell you how to live your life (unless you have no other option).
10. What is right isn't always popular and what is popular isn't always right. NOTE: popular means something accepted by a lot of people

CelebritiesRe: Why Are We Not Crazy About Our Celebrities? by segun06: 2:28am On Jan 05, 2006
I think we don't appreciate our celebrates because we can't realate to most of them (this is just my opinion). Think about it, most of our MUSICAL celebs act like they are AMERICANS and they talk about their X5 and all that, but how many of their audience really has an X5 or can even afford to buy the original copy of their albums. And it seems like there is just too much comedy going on in the movies . Moreover just because a person is a celeb doesn't mean they are rich.
And most importantly, we don't patronize our entertainment industry enough. We put the overseas entertainment above ours.
Music/RadioRe: Words From Fat Joe to 50 Cent by segun06: 2:06am On Jan 05, 2006
coolI'm not saying you shouldn't listen to or disscuss their music, i just think there is something wrong somewhere if we idolize them and they degrade us.  Moreover fifty just used that interview to show off. Do u think he would have mentioned it if he had gone to the "GHETTO" and got robbed?  I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, i'm just EXPRESSING my opinion and if you find what i'm saying offensive then i do apologize. And as for the person who asked what i have done to improve "AFRICAN ENTERTAINMENT lately", i admit i haven't done anything because i don't have the resources to contribute and thats y i'm here in the hopes that someone who does have the resources can(i know it might sound like i'm preaching).
Music/RadioRe: Words From Fat Joe to 50 Cent by segun06: 4:29am On Jan 03, 2006
angryI find it amazing that with all the SHIT happening in AFRICA, there are still AFRICANS who have nothing better to talk about than some fake ass gangstars(no disrespect).  The AMERICAN ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY is successfull because AMERICANS support it; too bad I can't say the same for the Nigeiran Entertainment Industry.  We need to support our own before we start spending our savings on a browsing ticket just to talk about some "Wankstars", who think Africans are a bunch of ugly, bush people. I think anyone who has ever been in the U.S knows what I'm talking about.  If we hope to see an AFRICA worth calling home someday, we must first support ourselves.
