Politics › Re: The North Is Indeed POWERFUL! The ALPHA MALE Of Nigeria! by selemempe: 4:33am On Apr 23, 2021
0jgti7gko08yhfe:
The north wanted out in 1953, before independence.

Araba was used by protesters (especially Bauchi demonstrators) after Ahmadu Bello and other northern elites were murdered. The unitary system imposed by Aguiyi worsened the situation. It was used as a chant to avenge the deaths of those elites.

It's just a slang word synonymous with "kill Igbos", and not "secession"..

Again, Araba wasn't a call for secession, but vengeance.

Yes, it means "separate" in Hausa. But it wasn't actually a call for secession, but vengeance - a violent kind of protest, especially in Bauchi.

Just like #EndSars, which, though means "end Sars", is synonymous with End bad government.

Folks like you, rosskkiiku, monogamy a.k.a helinues, sarrki, uptimum123, blinking001, tunjiajayi, omonnakoda, and other one nijeriyanist really think Yorubas like me want out because of fulanis, bullhari or whatever politics? SMH. The north and south are two different entity. Majorly muslim country like the north doesn't do well with western democracy, northern african countries are typical example of what major muslim countries that are free of western influence, now compare it with sudan and somalia that was forcing it. Where as the south needs democracy as it's heavily western influenced. So how do you expect us to grow with two separate laws in one forceful country
I can tell you for free that only yorubas are holding this country. The day yorubas join forces with us Igbos....forget it. Abokì will be defeated within one month.
Why do you think Igbos are using every subtle measures to court yorubas? Have you ever seen Igbos court the north?
Did buhari not make Igbos his VP in 2003 and 2007, did we send him? Igbos no regard abokì na

Man, get ready for genocide before u even think struggle. Bodies will fall, starvation will spread, investment will perish in a blink of an eye, people will dersert their homes for IDPs en masse before UN come in and offer peace talk; this is after the warriors are either perished or made many perished and have no financial or delusional expected foreign support.
Ethiopia and Tigray conflict is a good example!

Did Ecowas passport stop the Ghanaian govt from imposing 1 million dollar per Igbo trader charge, before Buhari came to your rescue?

What makes you think Nigeria will allow you to continue profiting freely in Nigeria with some stupid Ecowas passport?

Don't kid yourself. If you're out, YOU WOULD BE OUT.

It will NOT be business as usual.

No more luxury bus trips from Onitsha or Aba to Lagos on business and pleasure.

Igbos would be thrown out of Lagos and other Nigerian cities, and deported en masse to the East.

No more access to Abuja, unless you crawl to the Nigerian embassy in Enugu first, to apply for a visa.

ONCE YOU CROSS THAT NIGER BRIDGE, YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW YOUR VISA to Nigerian border guards.

Even with your visa, you will still pay heavy egunje on top to pass through.

Before you mention 'Ecowas', one of them has given you a dirty slap.

THAT is what 'break-up' means.

It's like a giant deciding to become an ant.
since you hate Igbos, it's only rational for you to support this. Stop begging for unity ogbeni
You have gone from threatening to kill 10 million Igbo to threatening to deport Igbo and finally to begging for patience and unity grin chai...my Anambra brother from heebadan

I bet those Igbo businessmen in Alaba and Sabon Gari see things very differently, not to mention heavyweights like INNOSON, Air Peace, Ibeto Cement, and the many Igbo manufacturers who need access to the Nigerian market to thrive.

Stop talking rubbish.

Which election was rigged?

The Buhari election was generally ok, and was certified by international observers.

The entire nation was fed up of Jonathan.

The days of rigging elections in Nigeria are generally over.

The judiciary has far more independence now to arbitrate disputes.

It's very hard to get away with rigging today, most especially in presidential elections.

And I'm telling you this as someone who observed Nigerian elections from the Shagari era till date.

You have no idea what election rigging is.

Politics › Re: Asylum To IPOB: We Provide Protection For Those Who Need It - UK Tells FG by selemempe: 1:13pm On Apr 22, 2021
sreamsense:
UK is just being proud and interested in showing seed of discord that will further disintegrate this country. If they can give it to anybody as justified, is it by giving it to terrorists? UK should extend it to Bokoharam, Al-shabab and other terrorist organizations if giving useless asylum is hungry them.

I wouldn't be surprised if these people started paying UK back by developing their country with illegal drug businesses, baby factory businesses and terrorism. UK may grow one day to reap the seed of what they are trying to sow now in the name of logically insulting Nigeria
Attention seeker, your country is already among the top 10 worst countries to live in the world, the other countries on that list include Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria and Somalia. They all have one thing in common, Islamic terrorists as leaders.

Now close your eyes and think of any future where it is possible for the Igbos that you know to want to live in the same country with you terrorists.

The UK saw the 1967 war as being justly against Igbos after all the Igbos had just truncated the democracy of Nigeria. However today, everybody's eye is starting to clear on who the real terrorists in Nigeria are. Even lukewarm yorubas are starting to be politically aware that their northern bedmates are not who they thought. All in all, Nigeria will be shamed and discarded to the trash of history where it belongs

The person you are asking us to support has too much anti Igbo traits.

A man who suspended his Dp just on the call for accountability is questionable in all sense.

What you should ask Igbos to do is to come out and front an agenda.

Let's carry a vision and project it with one voice.

We can't be agitating for seccession and leave our leaders to be planning on elections in the existing failed union.

We can't be agitating for break up of this failed country and we still have people voting for a govt that stands against break up

The only movement I consider reasonable and productive is the one that directs all agitation directly at our political and traditional leaders, if we take the protest to the front door of every political and traditional structure and strong hold that would be a game changer.

The reality is that the FG is not obliged to do the biddings of Ipob or anyother seccessionist group, ipob cannot sit and negotiate with the FG on referendum, it's the leaders of the region that will present the case and request of the people to the existing govt and demand for renegotiation.

The worst thing that will happen to igbos in 2023 is for there to be an igbo president. The whole Nigeria will come together and do him yeye. They will blame him for everything that has ever gone wrong with Nigeria.
He would not be able to achieve anything for the igbos due to all the shouts in the media and igbos would never again be able to raise their voices to demand equity and justice

An igbo presidency is a lose-lose-loser situation for Igbos. A poison

Usually when history is being made, the people living around that time would not know until after the fact.
History is being made in Nigeria currently, by Nnamdi kanu.

He has awoken Odudwa Republic, something most Yorubas would not have contemplated in 2014.
He has awoken Biafra, something that was a shameful word in South East a few years ago.
He has isolated the Fulanis

He is the face of all these agitation, kill Nnamdi kanu and you hit secessionists beyond recovery.
Best believe that Nigeria will try to assassinate him. Remember how Biafra died down after the operation python dance when we all thought Kanu died? They will try that again.

Igbos must rally to protect him because anaghi afuu dike kwaadaa. Kanu is dike.

Politics › Re: UK Asylum To Biafrans, Why Pro Nigerians Should Worry by selemempe: 10:58am On Apr 21, 2021
NigeriaIsZOO:
I can feel your pains and disappointment which is very apparent. However, I will respond to your emotional outbursts as logical as possible.

1st paragraph, are you trying to compare Nigeria to China in global diplomatic circle or what? China is a very powerful and very influential country, now almost at par with the US. They have what it takes to fight any country to a standstill over Hong Kong and no nation or global organization can intimidate them, not even US or UK! On the contrary, Nigeria is a third world, poor, highly dependent and very weak country. A couple of sanctions and threats by global bodies like UN is enough to make its government to grovel and beg.

2nd and 3rd paragraph, UK may no longer be the powerful Great Britain it used to be but trying to write them off is just wishful thinking. UK alongside Germany and France remain Europe's most influential countries. UK's traditional alignment with US makes them even more influential. UK can easily reach out to America and make them see reasons why Nigeria should be hit with crippling sanctions and possible external invasion should they refuse to comply and accept a referendum, especially if there is widespread loss of lives.

4th and 5th paragraph. You really seem to overestimate Nigeria's strength or capabilities. FYI, Nigeria is as weak, dependent and fragile as any poor third world country. It seems you don't understand how such scenario plays out but I will enlighten you. Britain does not need to send boots on the ground. However, once Britain becomes all out to subdue such recalcitrant Nigerian government, they will start with massive media attacks, international diplomacy and severe undermining of Nigeria's interests which will culminate in crippling sanctions on our oil exports, embargo on financial transactions with Nigeria, embargo on arms supply to Nigeria, sanctions on the president, his family, ruling party and anyone that identifies with them. Do you think Nigeria can survive a month under such scenario??

6th and 7th paragraph. Lol, it is Nigeria that has always seen Britain as its Lord and personal saviour. It was Britain that protected and provided all your needs both diplomatically, arms wise and logistically. Isn't it funny that you now turn around to accuse others of what you've been doing perennially over the years?

Last paragraphs. You're obviously living in the past. No one is setting anyone up and neither did France set Ojukwu up. These are just figments of your own imagination. If you think there would be another territorial war like Biafran/Nigerian war then it shows you're not a critical thinker. The most Nigeria can fight now is a guerilla warfare and you won't have the opportunity to use airstrikes or blockade to kill millions like you're dreaming. On the contrary, you would be fighting IPOB armed wing in the jungles and highways with occasional run-ins in the cities. The moment you leave that to start bombing markets or schools will only hasten the involvement of the UN. Remember there are American and French bases in Niger, Cameroun and Chad which makes it very easy for them to subdue Nigeria very easily. Also remember that once Yoruba people realize that Biafran has become achievable, they would immediately begin their own fight to establish Oduduwa. Which means in essence, it becomes a war between Arewa that is now surrounded against Biafra, Oduduwa and UN. How on earth do you think you can sustain such war beyond a few months??

The UK giving IPOB terrorists asylum does not imply Nigeria will break up, any more than the UK granting Hong Kong activist Nathan Law asylum means China will break up.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/apr/09/china-blasts-uk-asylum-hong-kong-nathan-law

You truly overestimate the power of the UK.

They are just one fcking HAS BEEN colonial power of yesteryear, with no influence over any sovereign nation of Nigeria's status.

If the NIGERIAN GOVT says no part of Nigeria shall secede, THAT'S THE END OF THAT, whatever Britain thinks.

If you want to go to war, make we fight, and we shall turn the East to a parking lot.

If you think Britain will send her soldiers to fight and die for you, you have another think coming.

If you think Britain will send you weapons to fight Nigeria, you are the most deluded goat on the planet.

Mumu people. Dependent, colonised, and slave-minded.

Waiting on your slave master to save you from his own creation.

If you people had basic geopolitical common sense, you would be seeking alliances with nations like North Korea, Iran and Cuba, not Britain.

Those are the sort of rebel, anti-imperialist nations that do 'freedom fighting'.

That do surreptitious armaments shipments and stockpiling.

That send mercenaries to fight for freedom.

When Angola was fighting for freedom, they built alliances with Fidel Castro's Cuba, who sent in military assistance to the MPLA who fought against the western-backed UNITA forces that supported the status quo.

The Angolans understood geopolitics.

But you 'Biafrans'? Dumb as bricks.

Like Ojukwu, you foolishly go crawling to the same imperialists that enslaved and colonised you and raped your mothers, expecting them to be 'good' to you this time.

Britain is likely just setting you guys up for another slaughter.

This was the same way France deceived Ojukwu, and pretended to support 'Biafra'.

When push came to shove they refused to supply weapons to Biafra, and you were left to fight with cutlass and catapult and your primitive Ogbunigwe.

This time you will fight with sticks and stones and lose 10 million people instead of the usual 2 million.

Geopolitical neophytes.
