I created a thread denouncing slavery and cautioning the people who gloat that they sold other Africans as slaves. Well it got deleted by a mod we have all come to know is a bigot. Drop his name if you can. The significance of that is that this mod doesn't care about the dignity of his fellow Nigerians or black people. He only cares about his tribe being able to get one back on their perceived enemies. And this is a man who is saddled with the responsibility of moderating Nigeria's largest political forum. A man who doesn't understand that a thread denouncing slavery and cautioning people from gloating about being human traffickers in the past should not only no be deleted but moved to front page to teach more people. We all saw the global outrage over George Floyd murder and how slave monuments were cast down all over the world. Now Reno creates a topic all but gloating that his people sold Igbos as slaves because of Igbos inherent 'disunity' and inferiority. I made an argument that his people sold Igbos to slavery because they were horrible human traffickers and not because Igbos were inferior or disunited. I buttressed my point by showing how Igbos are excelling in human resources more than Reno's people and how Reno's people only got umbrellas and mirrors for their evil actions. I concluded that slave trade is a dark chapter in black history that nobody should gloat about, especially not fellow blacks. Tell me nairaland, should a post like that be deleted in a fairly moderated forum? Seun lalasticlala 9 Likes |

If the yorubas opposed every governor sent to govern them, then they are also rebellious like the Igbos. So if he couldn't trust igbos with power for being rebellious, then he wouldn't trust the yorubas either. 10 Likes |

Romance / Re: There Are People In Anambra Richer Than Dangote: Is This True? by selemempe: 7:57am On Jul 18, 2021 |
oyatz:jets make money. Yatchs make Money. Flashing money makes you more money. It's called show business. Dangote is an industrialist...the Anambra dudes are mostly into show business. That said, I didn't say they were richer than Dangote. I just said they may have better luxury than Dangote. I know many people I'm richer than that have flashy cars while I don't. And it's not liability if it makes them more money |

FalseProphet1:it's not a project...it's a city. It cannot be built over night by one government. It will also need private individuals to buy and develop lands there. Government will only build a few houses and then focus on roads 5 Likes |

NewDelhi:seems insults is what you are about. If you read my post again you will see how stupid your reply worth. Dangote can have businesses worth 100 billion dollars...cool. it doesn't mean he loves in the most expensive house in Nigeria. Does it? Considering that many Igbo businessmen own airlines like Airpeace or United Nigeria airline, I find your claim that no Igbo owns private jets as a very childish talk (along with your insults) that exposes your stupidity. Innosson was talking about a tire company he opened with 250 million dollars which Nigerian federal government closed for environmental issues.... somebody who loses that amount of investment and still stands can not possibly be a billionaire. That said, I haven't said any Igbo is richer than dongote 3 Likes |

Aliyu007:it's unlikely. However there may be people with personal assets (homes, jets, yachts) worth more than Dangote's Another thing to consider is that Dangote's parents were rich. These Igbo billionaires of today had no assets in 1970 6 Likes 1 Share |

I just saw this picture of Wike and Obi Cubana and it got me thinking again of what could have been if Ikwere didn't start denying their Igbo identity. I'm from Enugu but we all in igboland know and appreciate how successful Anambra business men and women are. People like Arthur Eze, Innosson, Ibeto, and younger monies like Obi Cubana, Emoney, Jowizaza etc remind us all how far Anambra has come since 1970 when they got 20 pounds like the rest of Igbos. Also, With oil money which Rivers state commands and with political power in Rivers state firmly in the hands of the Igbo subgroups, the Ikwere could have been in competition of wealth with the Anambra and imo state elite. Igbo society weddings and burials could have been taking place every weekend in port Harcourt if they were integrated with the rest of Igbo nation The swag of being Igbo would have placed Ikwere and the Igbos of Rivers state in the national limelight like it does for the Anambra group. Port Harcourt could have been the Lagos of Igbos because of the port and oil....and Lagos would not have the high number of Igbos it has today. What Igbos lost in 1970 still gives me pains. Ikwere officially left the Igbo ethnic nationality in 1979 and took with them some other Igbo groups carved into Rivers. They all are now playing creek, isolated politics and living that creek, isolated culture and only identify as Igbos when it suits them individually. 18 Likes 1 Share
