So you are pitching your tent with Igbo all in the name of retaining presidency...
Same Igbo people you have been condemning all this while...
Definitely, the current security situation in North is simply to undermine Buhari's government so that you guys can use that as excuse to your people to retain power..

Arrewa: then why are your people wailing and crying in ladipo market??
The truth is that Igbos have taken over south west... They control 70% of commercial activities in that region.
There's nothing bad in doing that...they are very hard working and have the right to own properties and land in every part of this country!
So allow them to chest beat in peace! They deserve it!
Tell your people to stop making it look as if they were forced to sell their land to the Igbos
They should stop kicking and wailing Arrewa my abokìna Kai Bura mana friend. This one you are speaking in favour of Igbos today? Seems north won't support Yoruba 2023? Kai mana |

And the obsession continues. The same Igbo obsession that nearly destroyed the north and Nigeria in the 1960s...is now driving the west. Just as the north complained that igbos were taking there jobs and land the yorubas are doing the same now. Hope it doesn't drive them mad las las
Can you Tell us about the Yoruba internal wars of 1800s.
Tell us how the British empire kept a ship at Atlantic Ocean incase of any insurrection in Lagos because of the yoruba wars.
Tell us about an Eko oba who was blown into pieces while sleeping by the gun powder he kept in his room to use to fight other yorubas
Tell us how Ibadan was formed as an IDP camp
Then tell us how the Aro people started the first confederacy in Nigeria together with the Ibibio/Efik and Ijaw.
Tell us how the Nri kingdom outlawed slavery within its territory as far back as 1700s
Tell us how Jaja moved to Opobo, colonised it and built a power city state with international trade, Christianity and modern infrastructure
Yorubas should learn from Igbos. |

seanwilliam: so u suggesting the states to be autonomous? How will they finance their affairs? Especially state with lesser Igr the same way poor countries like Burundi, Malawi, Guinea Bissau etc are doing. They will figure it out once money stops coming from elsewhere. They will know how best to generate and spend income. Why would the governors of unproductive states care that they are parasites when fg will pay them every month? |
Celebrities › Re: If Naija Had Been Corrupt-free Since 1960, This Is How Cities Will Look Like Now by selemempe: 1:34pm On Jul 06, 2020 |
seanwilliam: hmmm..... what is the way forward now? the easiest way forward is restructuring. You don't expect us to go and begs whites to return to Africa do you? Let's look at smaller African countries. Rwanda is the fastest developing African country Gabon, Botswana, Equitorial Guinea, seyshells etc are all growing. We should decentralise power in Nigeria. The FG should only have the following exclusive role Military Foreign affairs Currency and banking Customs Immigration While the 36 states should have the following roles together with FG in concurrent list Police Prisons Education Energy Mineral and mines Oil and gas Environment Health Aviation Maritime Agriculture Railway The 774 LGA should be scrapped and states should be allowed to create, empower and fund their own LGA. States should have supreme courts if they want. To hear matters regarding state constitution. Nothing like federal road or hospital or university...let states manage that. This will allow states to grow at their own pace |

seanwilliam: ok with the disadvantages you listed above, would you still choose them over indigenous rulers? I will honestly choose them. Why do you think that we are all rushing to Canada despite racism. We would still have 3 regions by now and each region would have had at least 2 solid, skyscraper city by now. North probably Jos and Kaduna West probably Ibadan and warri East probably Enugu and port Harcourt Lagos would be in the league of London today because we have oil. While these other cities would be in the same league with say Johannesburg. Our population would be controlled and polygamy would be illegal. No almajiri system. People like me who don't look for trouble would easily be enjoying the country despite the white supremacy that may be widely rampant. Living in enugu and having a good job. Oh what we missed on October 1960. We were not ready for that independence. Our first black president should have come in the 2000s not in the 1960s |

seanwilliam: I have a question...do you think naija would be better if the whites are still ruling us?? too much better...whites have learnt how to build societies. Why do you think south Africa is the best black majority country? However if whites were still in charge, there would be parts of Lagos that blacks can't buy land today or as late as 1990s There would be police brutality higher than what you know There would be drug abuse. But Nigeria with oil would definitely be a developed country. There would certainly not be boko haram. Nigerians would travel to UK without visa. |

emperor863: Loyal to the south? What type of statement is this?
Other political leaders in South West are loyal to the South just like the Igbo were loyal to the south in 1959, 1964, 1979, 1993 and 1999.
Some kids (from the sad part of Nigeria) on this platform sure do not know their political history. They think the political history of Nigeria started in 2015.
My advice: ask your elders, they'll tell you how the sad part of Nigeria treated the south before tide changed in 2015. how did we betray the south? There were 3 regions in the south...east and Midwest belonged to NCNC while west went into opposition as usual...that was after NCNC won and Awolowo convinced them to decamp to AG...you guys have always been the different group in the south |
