APC needs to rid themselves of all the PDP infestations if they are to be true to their party goals. The political ideologies of the APC can be traced back to Obafemi Awolowo. But they allow their party to be infested with thugs like Saraki, Dino and likes who do not have any self worth.

Please other Nigerians also have Achievements from everywhere. Stop claiming you are the most intelligent when you are just as intelligent as anybody. And there is no proof that intelligence has anything to do with race or tribe. And Igbos are not a race. e are all Africans whether u like it not. U can create ur own pyramid of Africans too if u like. How is it in place to suppress u? Are you saying you guys are truly not intelligent so they set the standard too high that you cannot achieve it?

All those industries belong to the whites. The whites built and are running those industries and also in control of the international trade. Let them manage it fully, and it will be better for us. Independence has proven to be a bad idea.

Anyway, the founding fathers never even asked for it; they only asked for participation in the colonial government, and pronto! They were given independence with neocolonialism. Say no to neocolonialism! Welcome, colonialism!

Sell back the economy to them. Colonialism is exploitation with responsibility. Neocolonialism is irresponsible exploitation. Colonialism is to farming, what Neocolonialism is to hunting and food gathering!

Are you Igbo? That would explain a lot. No other Nigerian would speak like this.

Since we had 100%, how has it helped us? If the British had still been our colonial masters since 1960, South Africa and Egypt put together will not have seen our break light. The earlier, Nigeria starts working the better.

I only pray no one sees ur post else people will begin to think that we all think like you. You think the british care about you? SMH. They will silently and slowly cleanse this land of all Nigerians if we allow them stay here. Even from Britain they are already poisoning us. This is why they say Nigerians are foolish. See people in Congo fighting to be free and you who are free looking for slavery.
Well I can tell you where you can find European Colonial rule in Africa. You can go there.
Mali, Congo, Central Republic of Africa, South Africa. You can go there. I think SA is the perfect example. We would have been SA which is basically 1940s America. Segregation, Racism, land and capital belong to a few white people and the millions of black can die if they like. You cannot start a business if you want. The only kind of jobs available to you are low level skilled jobs with no opportunities for growth.

Even under PDP rule, Nigeria as a state was free to decide how and on whom it will spend its money its benefits. So while in other nations the benefits were going to a specific class of british colonial white masters, in Nigeria, it was going to Nigerians and this trickled down the economy in many ways "Chop-the-national-moi-moi". Nigerians could go abroad come back and start businesses. That allowed for Nigerians to attain high positions in societies nationally and internationally. It is for this reason [Our Independence] that you see many Nigerians and Ghanians in high places today but not necessarily other Africans. Because while we were free to grow and improve ourselves they were not. We have an enlightened and educated youth group [except you of course]. Look at other African Countries...

So what you are saying is go back to colonial slavery then? Then all our freedom fighters would have died. Let me tell you this. If the British or any Western country had still been in power you would have been Mali, Congo, Central Republic of Africa, Zimbabwe, Jamaica. Why? These are countries still in colonial rule today and that is what they have benefited from stayed colonialism. Zimbabwe had to hit 1million Zim dollars to realize that colonial rule was not good for them and pulled out.

The richest true African nations Nigeria, Ghana, Libya have one thing in common. Sovereignty. If the british had remained in power, at best we would have been SA, ruled by whites and blacks locked up in cages or pushed into the slums. Please speak with ur brains next time not ur pockets.

Very very true. And they actually can, and nothing will happen. So to avert that, the best policy is try and make yourself useful to their rule, while learning from them as fast as possible and plotting to be free of them.

You may not understand, but know that all the founding fathers you mentioned never sought independence from the white man, as you think. They only asked for greater participation in colonial government.

Right now, as we speak (or write), Africans dont even have the ability to mine the oil or whatever solid minerals they have. We depend on foreign technology, expatriates, etc to harvest the oil.

I dont have time and space to explain much, but think about it.

So you would rather live as a slave than fight for your freedom? Wow!! Truly either the "Brave ones are gone" or "The beautiful ones are not yet born". It is people like you that we unfortunately give our votes to in this country that end up selling our nationhood and shredding our culture. Until Africa can succeffully eradicate itself of people who think like you [Slaves] our race to growth would be slow. China was colonized as well, but they had good leaders who had pride in their manhood and country. Such a pity that u exist really. Such a pity. I can only hope you are old at least.

How dear you say such a thing. To think that Sankara, Kwanme Nkrumah, Saro Wiwo and so many other African leaders have dedicated their lives and died for this cause. And you sit there and say u want to return to slavery. This is why the white man will never respect you because you think you are slave and rather than do anything for yourself want someone else to do it for you. God gave u all this and because you do want to magically see tall buildings without doing any work prefer to return to slavery than to be free. To be exploited for the benefits of others for white colonial empire.

The british never did anything for this country, if they really did, we would have at least one city from colonial days that has a modern infrastructure. Most of our industries today were established during military rule in this country. Unfortunately, Nigeria will sieze to progress because we have people like you living in it and unfortunately too your vote counts.
Our industries do not belong to the white.

Rather than fight off Neocolonialism, you would rather return to slavery. Well there are some of us who take pride in the existence of a sovereign Nigeria and the true prosperity of our race that is free from oppression and exploitation. Nigerian resources are for Nigerians not the British or colonial empires. You must be born Nigerian to benefit from it and that is what we the youth of today should be going for. Absolute freedom from colonial Chains. I refuse to accept that my child would by God inherit a land of riches but would have to be slaves to an outsider to benefit from it. We must learn to do things ourselves. White man does not care about you. They would exterminate all Africans if they could and get it over with. But they cant.

This is not a football match where you can stay in a club forever!!! You quoted me out of context and that's why I'm correcting you so you can grow out of this level of thinking. The issue is not about APC nor PDP....... it's about you and I making the right choice. I will be more careful with a repentant Liar that the one who didn't perform better?

The logic is simple and I advise you and every well meaning Nigerians to focus on credibility and not promises. This is lesson learnt and mistakes should not be repeated.

It's useless fighting about party rather than solving problems and sharing ideas.....

I honestly don't care if you vote APGA or PPA or whatever.....but let it be done with common sense.

Common Sense applies to:

1. Listen and reason with what they say
2. Refuse to be excited about any campaign promise
3. Don't be tribalistic nor sentimental......vote the combination of Person and Party......because a good person can be corrupted by a bad Party....eg Buhari and APC (this is my perception only...keep yours to yourself).
4. Research on their past records, find out more about them at EFCC, social media, etc.
5. Above all.......listen to other opinions and suggestions dispassionately.......Please don't hate the perceptions of other people

Happy Sunday to you and I pray you continue to win in this challenging economy. wink

Oh yes we know this. APC, PDP, APGA whatever, same pot bellied old fools. I want all of them out and gone

Yes, if they can make it work it should be handed over to them. They are more competent than us in things like that. There is nothing wrong in foreigners handling it as long as they are regulated by the govt., it should be given to the most competent person. We see Nigerians doing great things abroad and people dont care where they are from. the most impt thing is that they deliver. All this nationalistic behaviour does not help any economy grow, economics has proven this time and time again, i dont know why we cant learn.

But that is neo-colonial slavery. How can you say that. A land that is for ur people and your generations. You will doom all ur generations to be slaves to the white man in their own land. Don't you know the meaning of creating and sustaining wealth within racial groups? So that ur children and generations are free from oppression or discrimination. SMH

You PDP people are dreaming. You think Nigerians are blind. We should vote for PDP in 2019 right? In other words;

1) Vote Modu Sheriff, Allegerd sponsor of Boko Haram for President of Nigeria

2) Vote in another decade Of Saraki Oppression. As PDP has name him flag bearer

3) Vote for the CBN to continue employing their family members into public offices

4) Vote for the continued importation of toothpicks

5) Vote for the continued degradation of our industrial, mining, education, agric industries

6) Vote for the continued depriavation of our people for the benefit of a few old fools

7) Vote for a system of useless faceless unambitious uneducated disorientated selfish old fools with no sense of devotion to our nation.

cool PDP politicians are so stupid to the extent that they stole money and banked it!!!! Instead of creating wealth at least for themselves and their families they put the money inside bank. SMH.

I rather go back to slavery thanks. At least then I will know exactly what the problem is and strike it out.

One of the greatest fallacies fed to Nigerians today is that their political parties actually mean something. This is not America where one can say "8 years under a Democrat/Republican".

APC or PDP or NNPC or FIFA; nobody cares what you call it. It's the particular president, his tribe and his affiliations that matter (and his values of course). As if Obasanjo who made PDP didn't switch to APC later. Each party has no inherent value or meaning. The sooner people get that, the sooner more rational ppl can exist in Nigeria.

What century do u live in? That was PDP mentality because of cuz they stood for nothing but their pockets. That is true for PDP. You see as APC released party agenda, ideologies, their point of view on politics and political systems, PDP can never do that bcoz most of them cannot even define the word "Politics".

PDP is dead on arrival in Nigeria. If APC bleeps up, then we go back to military rule or better go back under the queen. Even Colonial Slavery is better than PDP. If they even rig and win no body will agree. Have you seen the candidate? ALI SHERRIFFFF.... Kiaaaaaaaaaa President of Me.

This came as no shock to me as the U.S.A and Europe have long been in support of Buhari for a long time now. And we all know this, if it god for U.S.A and Europe, it is bad for Africa. Today I heard that Buhari plans to sell of at least 40% shares of NNPC. 40% to God knows who but it will be a private company. Now if they have 40%, and the public state have 60% in about 20 years they are capable to buy Nigerians out of our oil. NIGER DELTANS. This is a public asset, if it is sold we have nowhere else to go. These white people will buy all our industries and systems and keep benefiting themselves. We need to do something. Or do we just sit and watch our God given wealth be taken away from us. We have sat for over 100 years.

"I my absence, certain people have created a vested interest in a sort of situation I personally consider unhealthy for our people. There is a sort of siege mentality our people have acquired as a result of the end of the war. I believe this must seize. I believe our people must face the fact that the war is ended, they must feel free to partake, to serve, to benefit from Nigeria. They should have no inhibitions about being Nigerians and they should have no complexes."

Listening to Ojukwu talk, [I had never listened to him before] was amazing. He was so intelligent and had the needs of his people at heart. Not proud, very objective and with this touch of intellect. I think igbos should learn from Ojukwu. He was a true leader, hero and patriots. Unfortunately his intentions have been twisted for vested interests.

Politics / Re: IPOB Plans Live TV Broadcast, Massive Protest by senior123: 3:09pm On Apr 02, 2016
IPOB what we need is a redefinition of the Nigerian Political Structure, Renaming the Political Geo-Sub regions, Decentralization of access to state resources and a redefinition of how resources and revenues are allocated across states. [STATES CAN ONLY TAKE OUT IN VALUE WHAT THEY HAVE PUT IN, IN RESOURCES, WORK, FOOD, CONTRIBUTIONS, INVESTMENTS ETC]. If IPOB moves for this, they will have control over their resources and who controls the revenues from them and most Nigerian states [I can assure you, Yoruba, Middle-belt & even some Northern states] will actually Join their cause.

I mean if you meet the average northern man, their leaders have been in power but they have remained the poorest and their cities the most destitute. They do not benefit from this system in anyway but instead get used as scape goats and recruitment base for people to die in the Army. They complain bitterly if you bother to listen.

Spend this breathe doing something useful that will rather rather than pushing for a war you people know will never happen.

True he is actually being paid by America and NATO. Same as Boko Haram. Mercenaries for Western Agenda in Nigeria. Because if you critically look at it, doing it will make the igbos extremely poor. It will only soothe their egotistic pride but they will truly be poorer and a new breeding ground for exploitation.
As China has the land in Nigeria, it seems like Nigeria is looking east not west. This shakes America. They now know that the only part of Nigeria they actually need is the SE and SW lands. If only they can some how cut this place out of Nigeria, that will remove all China's Interest in Nigeria and they will look to Russia for oil. But America is dead on arrival with any business deal in America. So they have made they prices of oil irrelevant, and paying IPOB to re-invent a war that was fought decades ago. If only Biafra can be cutt of The West will have their territory back.

One Nigeria is...ALL ABOUT OIL! They have ravaged most of the oil in the SS; nearly 80% of their proven reserves depleted, environment polluted now they are heading into SE. Imo, Abia and Anambra. Anambra has the largest oil and gas reserves in Nigeria followed by Imo and Abia...the irony is Nigerians don't know this. Even Igbos don't even know this! They hide this from us!

We can pretend all is well but remember...when a situation or condition reaches critical mass, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT!

That is so narrow and I think Igbos are just selfish. Even the Yorubas are not happy are constantly applying for decentralization of power in nigeria. I am for that not breaking up. Stop being selfish please. Everyone from middle-belt to Yoruba has been suffering northern oppression in this country.

One Nigeria is not about only about oil. Most Importantly about the religious distribution of states. If Igbo goes then Nigeria is pre-dominantly muslim. Nobody wants that Yoruba will go and Middle belt will go. It will lead to war and deaths of millions. Stop this please. If you want decentralize power it will help a lot.

It is either Decentralize power or North goes. How about us middle belts always classified as North, when we are north. We are used to get power but get thrown away when the northern allocation comes in.
