Very very true. And they actually can, and nothing will happen. So to avert that, the best policy is try and make yourself useful to their rule, while learning from them as fast as possible and plotting to be free of them.

You may not understand, but know that all the founding fathers you mentioned never sought independence from the white man, as you think. They only asked for greater participation in colonial government.

Right now, as we speak (or write), Africans dont even have the ability to mine the oil or whatever solid minerals they have. We depend on foreign technology, expatriates, etc to harvest the oil.

This is not a football match where you can stay in a club forever!!! You quoted me out of context and that's why I'm correcting you so you can grow out of this level of thinking. The issue is not about APC nor PDP....... it's about you and I making the right choice. I will be more careful with a repentant Liar that the one who didn't perform better?

The logic is simple and I advise you and every well meaning Nigerians to focus on credibility and not promises. This is lesson learnt and mistakes should not be repeated.

It's useless fighting about party rather than solving problems and sharing ideas.....

I honestly don't care if you vote APGA or PPA or whatever.....but let it be done with common sense.

Common Sense applies to:

1. Listen and reason with what they say
2. Refuse to be excited about any campaign promise
3. Don't be tribalistic nor sentimental......vote the combination of Person and Party......because a good person can be corrupted by a bad Party....eg Buhari and APC (this is my perception only...keep yours to yourself).
4. Research on their past records, find out more about them at EFCC, social media, etc.
5. Above all.......listen to other opinions and suggestions dispassionately.......Please don't hate the perceptions of other people

Yes, if they can make it work it should be handed over to them. They are more competent than us in things like that. There is nothing wrong in foreigners handling it as long as they are regulated by the govt., it should be given to the most competent person. We see Nigerians doing great things abroad and people dont care where they are from. the most impt thing is that they deliver. One of the greatest fallacies fed to Nigerians today is that their political parties actually mean something. This is not America where one can say "8 years under a Democrat/Republican".

APC or PDP or NNPC or FIFA; nobody cares what you call it. It's the particular president, his tribe and his affiliations that matter (and his values of course). As if Obasanjo who made PDP didn't switch to APC later. Each party has no inherent value or meaning. The sooner people get that, the sooner more rational ppl can exist in Nigeria.

I really agree with u, but will differ in the area of u calling the igbo selfish. I feel the igbos should b commended for speaking and wanting to break away, because sometimes it takes courage to do. the core north has always uses the middle belt to add to they numbers, and it makes me wonder if we don't have geographers in this country, and why are the so called middle belt are not speaking about it, even when it's glaring if you look at the map of this country, you will realise that this place they call middle belt and SS as just instrument of division and does not exist geographical.

One Nigeria is...ALL ABOUT OIL! They have ravaged most of the oil in the SS; nearly 80% of their proven reserves depleted, environment polluted now they are heading into SE. Imo, Abia and Anambra. Anambra has the largest oil and gas reserves in Nigeria followed by Imo and Abia...the irony is Nigerians don't know this. Even Igbos don't even know this! They hide this from us!

We can pretend all is well but remember...when a situation or condition reaches critical mass, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT!
