PoliticsRe: $800m ‘not Enough For Northeast’ Shettima by senior123: 1:18pm On Apr 01, 2016
So this $800million came from America of course. To re-build an area that was destroyed by war America itself created. All to invade Nigeria from the North. According to CIA reports the test for how Nigeria would be disintegrated was carried out in 2012 and they actively predicted that Nigeria would be broken up by 2015. Despite their efforts Normal Nigerian Muslims were not randomly killing Nigerian Christians in other regions of Nigeria out of anger and hate [which was what they hoped]. Everyone simple saw Boko Haram as mad people.

The Boko Haram was now has led to the invasion of Nigeria from by America and China has left because of this. We practically have a US Army base with modernized weapons in Nigeria now "AFRICOM" in the name of fighting Boko Haram.

My question is are Nigerians ready to stay together as free Nigerians accepting and living with our diferences while in total control of our lives or break up as neo-colonial slaves to american-european agendas in our small defenceless scattered tribal/religious towns?

If Nigeria breaks up, the entire west Africa is destroyed.

Buhari should not come back and tell us he is opening the boarders, or devaluing the currency [already too late], accepting the importation of western created Genetically Modified Food [potential for total genocide, and control over our life source, food], or allowing American Capitalist Oligarchs to build our economy or our power sector. Because we do not want western capitalization of our industrial sector. America want to control the industrial sector. Welcome to Neo-colonialism. So America gets to dictate when we can have light or not. No way. We will rather be like this than have a repeat of Imperial control. Africans are becoming more aware. We have been suffering for 300 years. No one cared. Suddenly everyone is on our case. He should mind his business and figure out how Americans would free themselves from the current slavery they face currently from their founding industrialists' legacies.
We would rather be in darkness and quench of hunger than give America control over how and what we eat or over how we work, who works and how much we get paid. We will define our economy.

PoliticsWhy We Must Fight For Nigeria: Neo-colonialism And Ipob by senior123(op): 10:50am On Apr 01, 2016
I decided to post this video, not to undermine any body's ideas but to offer an alternative view [My view] on the issue if IPOB and the geo-politics of the world. I have always been said that the current IPOB movement was simply a western move to break Nigeria up to distabilize china's investment in Africa and for America and Europe to have a firm grip on its long standing puppets.

NOW I WILL BE CLEAR, I AM NOT SAYING IPOB people are working for the west, I am saying the people pushing this agenda from the Top do not really care about IPOB.
In recent lights, PMB has banned all importation from most western country has has secretly been sticking to the "Look East" agenda discussed by the former United States of Africa proposed by Muhammud Buhari. According to critics, Nigeria is the single most important country in Africa when it comes to the Geo-politics of world powers. Whoever Nigeria favours, is favoured by all west african countries. It still comes down to the scramble for African resources.

I fail to explain in depth but this video is an interview with an international political analyst, where he critically analyzed the situation in Nigeria. I warn though, he made a mistook the word "Igbo" for "Yoruba" so he refers to the IPOB movement as yoruba people. But you know what he means. Please watch. Thanks.

PoliticsRe: NNPC Withheld N824.7 Billion Oil Revenue In 6 Months Of Buhari’s Govt by senior123: 10:26pm On Mar 31, 2016
DickDastardly:
A new report on Thursday said despite President Muhammadu Buhari’s attempt at ensuring transparency in the oil sector, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, still withholds billions in oil revenues from the government account.
The report by the Natural Resource Governance Institute, titled “NNPC still holds blank check” said that within the first six months of the Buhari administration, the NNPC withheld over $4.2 billion (about N824.7 billion) out of a total of $6.3 billion (N1.24 trillion) revenues realised from crude oil sales in the second half of 2015.
The withheld revenues represented about 66 per cent of the total revenue – $1.4 billion earnings from Nigeria’s regular crude oil exports for the period; $3.4 billion from domestic crude oil sales, and $1.5 billion from oil sold from the corporation’s upstream subsidiary, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC oil fields.
The report said only $2.1 billion (about N413.7 billion) was transferred to the Federation Account.
The group said the unremitted revenues for the six months was about 14 per cent more than the amount withheld by the corporation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration in the first half of 2015, and about 12 per cent higher than the share withheld in 2013 and 2014.
The report said the figure of unremitted oil revenues in 2015 contrasted sharply with 2005 figures, which showed the NNPC remitted about 68 per cent of its total oil sale earnings to the Federation Account and kept only 32 per cent that year.
The report said while part of the withheld funds was used for servicing Nigeria’s share of the joint venture operating obligations, the NNPC did not fully explain what the other retained revenues from domestic crude and NPDC oil sales were used for.

In general, the report said despite the on-going reforms in the oil sector, the NNPC under the present administration was still retaining a major share of oil sale earnings and spending at will.
Some of the reforms by the Buhari government, the report noted, have cut the number of passive, well connected middlemen that pocketed billions of oil revenues, while the administration has cancelled costly, unbalanced NNPC swap contracts as well as seek more efficient replacements.
The report lamented that recent announcements on NNPC reforms and the latest drafts of the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, failed to adequately address how NNPC and the government would share future oil revenues
“Until government establishes a clear, legally enforceable rule governing which revenues NNPC can keep and how they can be spent, oil sector corruption and waste could return to their prior devastating levels once the president (Buhari) leaves, or prices rise,” the report noted.
While encouraging government to push ahead with its reform plans for the oil sector, NRGI stressed the need for NNPC to adopt new financial controls and transparency measures for its subsidiaries, especially bordering on the several billion revenues retained each year from NPDC operations and its oil trading and marketing subsidiaries.
The Institute also called for the immediate replacement of the 445,000 barrels per day crude oil allocation for domestic refining with a fit-for-purpose mechanism for supplies to the country’s four refineries.
“The government should move to curb the corporation’s discretionary, unaccountable use of much-needed public funds. Until the government instates clear rules for NNPC financing, both the controversies and the underlying revenue leakages will persist,” the report said.
Describing the NPDC as one of the Nigerian petroleum sector’s “great black boxes”, the report said some of the oil from the company’s fields went to its strategic alliance partners, two of which were paid in oil for purportedly shouldering the company’s financial obligations.
From the production of an average of 30,000 barrels per day of Okono grade crude during the period, the report said NNPC retained all earnings ( about $12.3 billion over the past decade) from the offshore Oil Mining Lease (OML) 119 owned wholly by NPDC.

NNPC is a govt institution. Meaning that they are not a private company ant they work for Nigeria. The get the govt salaries that is given to govt workers ate the levels in which they work. They are not entitled to any oil revenues. The money belongs wholly to Nigeria. Meaning that money goes into reserves for investments in projects across the country.

They have no claims over Nigerians money. It is not their money. Don't they get their salaries?

PoliticsAlert!!! Pdp Has Been Poisoning Nigerians. by senior123(op): 3:58pm On Mar 31, 2016
I have just come across this today, that despite the fact rejection of the application for the importation of genetically modified foods in 2013, our country's leaders in the PDP went ahead and introduced genetically modified maize, cassava.

Genetically modified crops (GMCs, GM crops, or biotech crops) are plants used in agriculture, the DNA of which has been modified using genetic engineering techniques. In most cases, the aim is to introduce a new trait to the plant which does not occur naturally in the species. This is achieved by the use of harsh chemicals unknown to us.

The American mafia [Rockefellar, Bill Gates] and the corrupt Nigerian politicians can secretly decide to to import these things secretly into the country. This is the depopularization project they talked about and the target is Africa.
http://www.infowars.com/target-africa-gmo-crop-push-is-depopulation-scheme/

America has never wanted anything good for any African country right from time. They have black Americans living in America who they have not brought out of poverty and they are flying all the way to Africa to poison us.

The problem with GMOs is once they are in, you cannot control them. The UK uses GMOs because it has strict Health and Safety procedures to check for food poisoning and harmful chemicals. Nigeria and no African country has the capacity to do that. And even at that look at the rate of cancer, liver problem, kidney problems, obesity etc in those countries. And they even demanded that the GMOs do need to be specifically labeled. It is better if they are not segregated from our normal food.

I am tired. It is like everyone is against us and no one is fighting for us. No one cares about us. Please I beg every on on nairaland to say NO to GMOs.

GMOs basically gives American tech companies the right to put whatever chemicals they like in our food. They can decide that "You know what you are a pain" And give every one chemicals to slow down brain functionality.

#SAVE AFRICA.

PoliticsThe Silly Religious Bill by senior123(op): 2:45pm On Mar 31, 2016
That religious bill proposed by El Rufai is a very silly bill. I had a chance to properly read it yeterday.

Firstly, How can you say that state governors should have the rights to decide how religion is practiced in their states when there are muslims and Christians living everywhere in Nigeria. The governor of Kano will always be a muslim and the governor of Imo will always be a Christian.
Why would you pass a law that discriminates and oppresses the minority in every state. The muslims in Imo, Anambra would be unhappy and the Christians in Kaduna will be unhappy. And if the FCT minister would always be a muslim, that is just war. FCT is 50% Muslim 50% Christians. That is just fostering up another war.
Essentially you are giving the right to tear down mosques in the southern states and tear down churches in Northern states but you haven.t told all Christians to move to the south or east and you haven't told all muslims to move to north. Then again what will Lagos be?

Again, section 10 concerning issuing of preaching licences for ministerial, says there are two main islamic preachers licenses available for the two islam religious groups and they just gave Christians two preacher licenses as well since we gave muslims two preachers.
Well Christianity has Catholic, Pentecostal, Anglican, Deeper life, Mountain on fire, zionist etccc..... so are we going to license each one?
What about the igbo jewish communities, the pagans and the traditional worshippers, ifa, amadioha, god of rain and sun etc? Do they get licenses too, i mean they are religions and they are entitled to the same rights that we have. Because they will demand it soon enough.

Secondly, section 11 of the bill says that ministerial would be given monthly allowances. From where? Nigeria is not paying any religious figure from its national budget. No way.

It is a very silly oppressive bill set only to foster hate and except the laws applies at a federal level, where the same laws apply in the way to every state across the country, it will never work. Nobody will answer them. It will just cause fight in every state.

He did not refuse to sign. The senators and ministers had already defied the constitution when they decided to do budget padding. He sent it back and told them to get rid of that budget padding and clarify how much goes to each project. What Buhari want is for the ministers to state exactly what projects they would be doing and how much goes in each project. Not Vague allocations like N6trillion for Industrial works, N50billion for welfare. Welfare of what? Are you building schools? In what state? What industrial works? Are constructing railroads? From where to where? But they do it want to do this so they can have an open avenue to loot. He should not sign. We will be looking at ourselves. No loot, No transparency,No food, No water, No light.

My major contention with this bill is the attempt to regulate religion by licensing preachers, that to me is a no-no and is against the principle of freedom of expression.

I do not have to apply for a license to propagate my faith, under what considerations will the licenses be issued? At whose discretion or indiscretion will the licences be issued, will they give "targeted" licences just as CBN did targeted recruitments?

Government has no business giving license to preach, however is a preacher runs foul of the law definitely be can be tried under existing laws doe whatever crime has been committed.

This law they seek to enact is mundane and archaic and should be resisted by all good thinking Nigerians.
I understand it in a way, like keep your faith at home and practice with your family. But when you give state governors the right to regulate how religion would be practiced then it becomes an authoritative bill of oppresion.
