Answer to your question, you need a court document that says you have sole parental responsibility of the child.

Please and please don’t mistaken custody for sole parental responsibility and no affidavit. An official court document will suffice and a copy of the parent’s visa (if you’ve gotten your vignette already).

Please can a single parent guide me on how they were able to get self custody for dependent kids, especially if the divorce process has not been concluded. While considering the fact that the person has from now to December to take the kids because of the new law and will a consent letter from their dad enough?

POE experience differ, whilst some have had a smooth experience otherwise have been well scrutinized

1. Process for sole custody is through the court, you will need to speak to a lawyer for that

2. It depends on the age, some airlines offer unaccompanied minor flights.

What is your definition of close relatives? Do you mean immediate or extended? Besides you will need to first prove your relationship with the person and then consent letter to travel with your children. There may also be push back from border control

I would strongly advise that the MA explores the unaccompanied minor option or travels to get them

Must the SOA used to obtain CAS be the same as the same to be submitted to UKVI? i.e should the SOA have the exact opening and closing balance, and the same date frame? Even when CAS was issued weeks after submitting SOA to obtain CAS

A note to show change in my previous applications( I've applied for visit visa before, I was married then but separated now so I had to explain).

I sent a study gap letter on the 29th and was asked to attend an interview on the 2nd of June. Did my interview and 5 weeks later, still awaiting a decision. I have done 4 paid mails, 2 escalations and still waiting. This is the 8th week !

It's well God is in control, the decision came few days after the virtual interview.

Firstly, I'll like to thank God and also thank my Nairaland family, BRP mail dropped this morning after empty NSF, paid calls, paid Mail and virtual interview. I want to thank everyone especially Duchess 08, Ebimone, Olaniyan and everyone that reached out to encourage me.

Biometrics was 2nd of June. I use myself as a point of contact to everyone waiting, your visa will come speedily in Jesus Mighty name.

My kids Visa alert mail just dropped this morning from TLS. It's been a journey of sacrifice and hardwork and testimony.

My wife and I have been in UK for 6 months now. We couldn't come with them cos of some constraints we may face financially and settling down wise. It later turned out a good decision cos I was able to work full time like an intoxicated man,to raise cash for fees and their application.

God helped me, I paid and applied for them, from UK here, uploaded all my pay slips and 3 employment letters plus tax no. Lol. I didn't want any story as my wife was the MA.

Applied on 20th June, my son got NSF mail on 21st but we remained calm and prayerful. Today, around 11.20am, the mail came in, with the good news..

I haven't seen my kids physically in 6months, I have been working tirelessly, pushing to bring them in, my wife working so hard too.

They are aged 6years and 4 years. Today, God has given us the testimony we hoped and prayed for 6 months.

Being away from your kids for 6 months was sometimes hell but I knew the sacrifice was worth it

The NSF just indicates more time is needed to assess your application.

Until you get a mail requesting for more information about your application,you shouldn't be too worried

Is it possible that I'm having this delay because I stated that my children stay with my mum. I'm a single mum or because I declared that I'm separated .it's confusing, i submitted since last month and I didn't get any mail after the empty NSF.
