True ! I have been on call making inquiry for flight Delta airline for Miami 16-19th to Lagos and return date of 31st to Toronto.

The Lowest I could go was 1600 USD. It went as high as 2000 USD. I think I will go with Austacus suggestion. We just spoke with the MP, that has been helping following up. And he just told me to send him some detail so he can talk the CIC office. He asked if i had updated my contact detail via the webform initially. I told him , yes ! When I left Nigeria, I actually sent a mail via webform that I am now in Miami. Not sure why they didn't take this into consideration.

I noticed when I choose Yes as an answer to the question (Have you visited or lived in any one of the designated countries for 6 consecutive months in the last year??), Medical section was displayed as part of the section that am supposed to fill. Am I to leave the medical space empty? I don't plan to do upfront.

Guys, Am I suppose to answer Yes or No? I selected Yes because Nigeria is in the list of designated countries

You have no single problem, ask for work permit for her at the point they issue you your study permit. Forget no.2 for now. Congrats!

So I was refused study permit yesterday.

My question is this : can I apply for the permit from within Canada? I already have a scheduled trip to Canada in July/ August because I have visitor visa valid till 2020.

if you know, you know. Like I said, If you work per hr, you determine how much you earn per Month zzg. per Year. When it comes to finances I advise people to ask locals how to go about it. Look for someone you trust and he will guide you. If you think you know it all by just reading up the law, good for you.

Yes, they are students.
About the 40% tax, you get it back when you declare you tax at the end of the year if you don't earn above 8k.
So, I think it is a win-win.
But like I said earlier, the higher you earn, the more likely you spend more. You just have to be super discipline to save up. There are other ways of getting your money back even if you pay the 40% tax. Get a good Tax adviser and you will surprise with the knowledge you will gain.

It is possible if you are a programmer and you are very good at what you do.
Minimum pay you get is 13€ per hr, I have friends who ear 25€ per hr. so making 1200 a month is a piece of cake even during the semester.
But I don't think you can save 10m naira in two years maybe 4years is possible.
you have to be very disciplined to achieve that.
