intrinsicniyi: Hi All,
GCMS Notes just came in. 118 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus I wasn't ready for it.
Please where can I find useful information from this e.g. page numbers? The document is so long-winded.
I also try to use ctrl+f but e no work. I was also shocked when I saw the number of pages . So I decided to initially skim through, jumped to the last 5-6 pages, then I gradually read backwards. I guess it was when I saw Review Required that I began to pay more attention to every detail in the notes . I'm sure you'll enjoy reading it since your application has already been approved. Enjoy |

Stencil: @intrinsicniyi - Congratulations on getting eligibility passed! You can now breathe a sigh of relief. At this stage, it's safe to pack your bags
@sesan01 - I would re-send those documents as soon as possible, including the pay stubs and all the information you sent the first time. Use ilovepdf.com to merge all of them and name the file something like FirstName_LastName_Proof_Of_Employment and follow up with a phone call until you get confirmation that the file has been received. Then order GCMS notes again just to be on the safe side. Thanks for your response Stencil. Fortunately, I was able to get the reference letters updated with the companies' letterhead (something I should have done when I was submitting my application ) and I have sent it to them (with letters of explanation) via webform. I'm expecting two more acknowledgments from them via email (because I bombarded them with multiple webforms ) before I eventually follow up with a call next week and order GCMS notes again. |

Was you eligibility passed at any time? @Rifkiz No, it only changed from "not started" to "review required". |

Zeus04: Wow! Not including the reference letter was quite risky o. However, please send another webform asap before they reject your application. So long they haven't rejected it, you are still go to go but please act fast! I am sure the 'egbons' here would also give further directions if need be.
For the rest of us post AOR, this is why i always plead with people to order GCMS... It helps to know the status of your application to guide against any Yeye decision.
It will end in praise! All the best man! Thanks man. I'm doing that right away. |

Mamaroon: Perhaps your file had not been worked on since your webform was sent. Did you get an acknowledgement that your docs had been sent to the relevant visa office when you sent the first webform? It was a big risk leaving out the reference letters in the first place o but pls resend and keep resending docs via webform until you get a response. Also, the officer repeatedly says "no LOE".....seems he just could not understand why a critical doc was missing without explanation.....so maybe include an LOE as well. Good luck! Thanks Mamaroon. When I was submitting my application, I actually included a letter of explantation as an optional document explaining the reasons for not providing those reference letters. I guess it wasn't seen or read. I'll draft a new one and send it with those reference letters again. Also, I got an acknowledgment that my docs had been sent to the relevant visa office when I provided my reference letters via webform. |

These Montreal VOs no get joy oo . My GCMS notes just arrived. When I submitted my application in January 2020, I didn't include reference letters for two jobs out of 4 jobs I claimed points for because getting those letters would have been a herculean task but I included my pay stubs, contract, bank statements and offer letters which stated my duties. However, in May 2020, after getting to know via webform that my eligibility was being reviewed, I had to get those letters because I just felt that something wasn't right. Lo and behold, the VO reviewing my application didn't acknowledge the employment docs I had provided at first in place of the missing reference letters as well as the new reference letters I uploaded via webform in May. Bosses in the house, please what do you think I should do? Should I send a new webform providing those reference letters again and also state that my points were deducted because those letters were not acknowledged? @Stencil @ednut1 @Mamaroon @Zeus04 @everyone

intrinsicniyi: Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is doing great.
Finally, I had a ghost update and afterwards, I called IRCC to ask them what's up with my application. This is what I got from the agent:
Eligibility - Passed Security - Valid Criminality - Valid Background - Valid VO - Montreal, Ca
I have also ordered for GCMS notes.
To the seniors in the house, what is the way forward and how soon can PR come through?
Lastly, I recently got notified that another PR that I applied for in the country where I had my MSc is ready for collection. However, I can't pick it up right now since I have left the country. I am thinking of delaying the collection till I get my Canada PR (I only have 3months though). Is this a good move? Also, in case I pick up this new PR while my Canada PR is still in process, do I have to inform IRCC about it? I really don't want anything to delay this Canada thing as its my main priority. #iConfuse
Thanks as I look forward to responses.
@Stencil @Sesan01 @Zeus04 Congrats bro. I think you should get your Canadian PR first before picking the other PR. That way, your application isn't delayed further. You can also wait for 2 months. If Canada does not issue your COPR by then, you can go ahead and pick the other PR |

saskatoonguy: Is it only when someone is Married or Adopt a Child that Interview would be required or that just AVO nature? It's AVO's nature especially when they think the marriage or child adoption is sham but not all married folks or applicants with adopted children are interviewed. Each application is peculiar. |

Thonnydon: Boss,
Please help a brother. I requested for GCMS note and noticed they require additional information on my profile and it is yet to be communicated to me either through mail or my application. Can I go ahead to provide such information or I need to wait for them to request for it. Also, I noticed the offices recommended interview. AVO...... 13 month post AOR I think you can go ahead and provide the additional information via webform. I'm quite curious about the recommended interview but I'm not surprised since it's AVO. Are you married or did you adopt a child? ModifiedI just read your previous comments. Now I see why they're recommending an interview. There's nothing to be afraid of. Kindly provide the additional information and when you go for the interview, just say things as they are. Your case isn't the first and won't be the last. |

intrinsicniyi: Hi all,
Trust y'all are doing great.
Honestly, I am tired of waiting. January AOR, FSW, Montreal Visa Office. Anyone in same shoe?
@sesan01, what's up? Haha please don't be tired. Hang in there. I requested for my GCMS notes recently, so that I can know what's going on. The last time I raised a webform, they said Criminality passed, Eligibility (under review), Security not yet initiated. I guess we're on a long thing with this pandemic slowing things down. The average processing time for Montreal applications before COVID was 8 months. The wait is a little tiring though but my current busy schedule has helped me take my mind off it. I would advise you to request for GCMS notes to know the latest update on your application. |

Hello people,
A friend of mine is trying to find the right NOC code for her application. She selected 0125 for both job experiences but with the recent trend of VOs denying some applications with Skill Type 0, I think it's wise and safe to ask for help here.
First experience: Job Title - Analyst Responsibilities: - Financial dude diligence on a target company for a global private equity firm - financial analysis identifying major drivers of growth or decline in company's performance. - Vendor financial due diligence for a restaurant, in support of a sell-side mandate - Business valuation of an insurance company in Africa. - Administrative tasks on her engagements and the unit at large.
I suggested NOC code 1112 for this job experience. What do you guys think?
Second experience: Job Title - Associate Consultant Responsibilities: Market assessment and portfolio optimization - Conducted confidential due diligence on a $$$ quick service restaurant. Outlined winning strategies for recommended countries to enter. - Negotiation on behalf of an African oil and gas player looking to swap its offshore oil and gas assets for onshore producing assets of renowned global IOCs. Set-up swap scenarios and started business case for both parties. Corporate strategy - Developed a 5-year strategic plan for a $$ non-profit organization. Identified major flaws in current strategy and recommended radical changes to spur financial inclusion growth. - Developed a 3-year strategic plan for a financial provider in Africa. Demonstrated client management skills handling internal diagnostics module. Identified strategic initiatives expected to grow revenue by 50%
Cost reduction - Adapted operational and organizational costs to changing business environment for an $$$ international oil and gas company. Identified initiatives expected to result in at least 30% cost savings.
For this job experience, I suggested NOC code 1122. What do y'all think?

Shindar: Hello, do you stay in the US? What have you noticed about your VO that made you suspect it might be the same for those that applied in the US? I'm asking because I just found out Montreal VO processes most applications from US and desperately praying mine dosent fall under that category because my medicals will expire soon, just after projected date of completion. Thanks Hi, I stay in the US. I just got to know this week that my VO is Montreal so I may not really understand your question and I won't conclude that Montreal VO processes most applications from US. Just remain optimistic, whether it's Montreal, Ottawa, AVO. |

toniauj: Thank you for answering me. My sought out clarification is: Having obtained the PCC from Inspector Moshood, is or are there any other extra requirements? This is what I mean- What does the phrase “getting it certified” mean? Is Inspector Moshood going to do that bit too? Or, do I have to submit it for any reason to the home office. This is the only part that is confusing and I really hope seniors who have done this from the US in recent times can see this post and chip in. Please! Forgive my wahala All you need to do is fill the form, reach out to Inspector Moshood. I think he'll ask you to send a scanned copy of the form to him and he'll probably charge you more. He'll send the scanned copy of the police report to you. The scanned pink paper is all that you need. You don't need to get anything certified. |

toniauj: Hello,
(I apologize if this question has been overflogged. I just couldn’t find enough resource when I read page 1. I really don’t want to make any mistake)
Thanks for responding. I had earlier asked but I am not very clear on what to do about obtaining a Nigerian PCC from within the US.
I read your post and deduced that you applied from within the US. I am seeking to get my PCC from Nigeria just as I am simultaneously getting an FBI report. My question is:
How did you validate or certify your report with the home office? Which office did you process yours through and how long does it essentially take? Can you kindly guide me? Thank and God bless. For me, I had a family friend who was going to Nigeria. I filled the form here in the US and gave it to this family friend who was going to Nigeria to help give it to my mum. My mum took the form to Alagbon with #5,000, scanned and sent the pink copy of the police report to me. She got the police report on the same day. That was how I got my Nigerian police report. |

Eniolakiite: It is just this IELTS suspension that is happening in the US that I’m a bit worried about. And I recently found out IELTS in the US is paper-based. Was thinking it would be Computer-based. It seems some (if not most) IELTS centres in the US are located in the English department of higher institutions in the US. As long as these schools are closed, I don't think the English test would resume any time soon. Also, the IELTS test experience in most centres in the US is synonymous to a typical paper-based exam experience in US classrooms. Based on my previous experience writing Toefl and GRE, I prefer the Computer-based test but I didn't find the paper-based test less convenient when I wrote it. |

Zeus04: Hey! A friend pointed out to me that his application bar disappeared. I checked other forums and noticed some people made same observation while others with same application date said theirs still shows. Do you know what it means? Have you checked your profile recently to find out if it's still there? Mine is still showing though my expected date is still next month June 18, I submitted my application on the 18th of December 2019...VO is Accra. I noticed it when I checked my application yesterday. I checked again today and it's now showing. Submitted my app on the 17th of January 2020. I don't know my VO but it's definitely one of the VOs that process applications for those residing in the US. |

LegalTc1: HI, with all due respects to the opinions proffered before, this matter has been laid to rest. IRCC has it's clear definition of professional degrees. Evaluatory bodies are there to AUTHENTICATE the genuineness of ur degree without more. My submissions are based on verifiable authorities / precedents and I advise that every applicant rely on verified precedents.
Use your letters of explanation very well. As long as your LLB, Bachelor of Law or professional degree has been VERIFIED by the evaluatory body, rely on IRCC's definition of professional degree. For the avoidance of doubt, even if WES or another evaluatory body gives your equivalency to the contrary, attach an LOE and proof of reference from IRCC's website or Twitter.

ednut1: with this corona it should enter late 450s. one man's food is another man's poison. Here in the US, IELTS test has been suspended until further notice. I believe it's the same in other countries. WES has temporarily suspended all in-office operations. Documents that reached their office after March 10, 2020 should expect delays. With these disruptions and delays, I see the score dropping to the 460s and late 450s as you said (not so soon because some applications are already in the loop but eventually) in the next couple of weeks/months. Those in the 460s and late 450s should get their docs ready because there is still hope for ITA. |
