obysolid: if i ship thru EMS of DHL will the product arrive as the appointed time? Can someone help me receive the product to the address i sumbit when am not around to collect it? You guys should help out am new in the field

some one can collect on ur behalf, just a proof of identification authorisation is what is required.

For EMS, my first and last shipping with them, i have to pick it at Festac and also made to pay some money. EMS, does not deliver merchandile to your address, you collect at the nearest EMS office with Govt issued ID

There are a handful of good quality of laptop in alibaba and aliexpress,i have bought some units and will still buy more, but one thing you have to note is that, good quality laptops come with a price, they do not come cheap. And also chat with your seller and let him or her know ur requirements. If you can get a third-party to access it, that will be nice

Always ensure that you ask for good quality batteries, because many of them are not of good quality.

Though it is very difficult to see customer review but you can make the alibaba forum your guide when sourcing from alibaba, you can research about the supplier and ask questions about its authenticity.

the price is $83.20 which is ₦13,155. am confused dont know if its a scam plus the seller is never online.

I think its a scam, 'cos i ordered a Sony laptop of about that price some weeks back, i got my money back when the seller could not ship the order, the order was frozen and the store was closed. So many people ordered products from the store within a very few days.
I think it is the same person who has opened another store when the other store was closed

If the domain is just 1 year its okay to use another, but if its more than 1 year.

Freight on Board- mean the minimum price is $1 while maximum price $3.5, you are going to be responsible for shipping from the seller warehouse.

In most case MOQ is always high @ alibaba, but you can chat with them that, you want a sample to test the market, that you will come back to buy in large quantity.

if its the certificate you want, go for NIIT, but if want the skill and want to be an expert, go for self-thought my brother, you can make google ur guide and many experts here who are willing to help. Many of the folks here are self-thought.

may sure you quote the nearest address and ensure that you put a functional phone number, for the postman will have to call you if the place cannot be located. Else, you will have to collect at the nearest office of the courier company.

Concerning buying laptop, i will suggest you buy it yourself, which will provide opportunity to learn, which is the main purpose of this thread. some while ago, some budget laptops from ebay were displayed here, check them out to see the one that is within your budget and get any of the third party agents that pay on ur behalf and ship it to you. And if you buy one, you can sell it off for profit if the opportunity arises.

With 20k, its enough for you start importation business, couple with the fact that you are a student, a massive market if you ask me, just look for what will sell very well among your friends/students and import and smile to the bank with cool profit. You can target the ladies, they are heavy buyers.

It means that you products have arrived your country. Be expecting call from your nearest post office when it is at the post office for pick-up.

There are a handful of them on alibaba, but do not rush into buying large qualities, 'cos they may not be a good as displayed. What you do is to buy samples from different manufacturers so as to try them out. You may even use third party to save you shipping cost.

They will give you payment terms and you tell them the one that is convenient for you.
I think the why many of them dont usually accept mastercard payment, is because when money is paid with mastercard which goes into escrow, the fund is being held for btw 30-60days before it is released to them. You will agree with me that not everybody will want his fund to be held for sometimes when the goods are even off his shelf.

Tracking with China Airpost has been a challenge, i guess,location:10010200 is the present location of your goods. If you cannot get the location, why not contact your seller, he/she should be able to get the exact location of your goods. Anyway know that it takes 15-60days for you to received your goods with China Airpost.

there are quite a lot of them accepted on aliexpress, alibaba, both mastercard and visa card. Have used GTbank Naira Mastercard and Zenith Websurfer (though i dont know whether zenith is still issuing this)

Which ever bank you chose, tell them what you want to use it to do, so dat it can be activated for you.

luluosas: Well, the frequent disconnection thing seems to be general. However, if you have a smart phone, you can connect your laptop using tethering (Hotspot) on the phone. This way, you will not experience the disconnection again though, you will not be able to browse when the network is down but, your computer will never know whether the network is down or not. Since I collected the free Samsung Galaxy Y Pro phone from Glo, I have never use my Bolt modem again.

I still maintain that free shipping is not an option if you are importing products that is bulky or greater that $100. The post office cannot be trusted again. Though i have used free shipping for my products like digital camera, camcorder, flash drives, phones. None of these products has been more than $75.

Pls if you must import any product ensure that you use and of DHL, Fedex, UPS, or EMS (you may be made to pay at the point of collection because it does not deliver merchandise to home or office addresses) or if you cannot afford any of these, then try Chrisvicmall

If the seller has confirmed that it has entered Nigeria, then your product is held up in Nigeria.

My advise is that with free shipping there is no insurance, dont consider free shipping for a product that is above $100 and also if it is bulky. Some of the bad eggs in the system must have feast on your product. A very bad experience indeed!

Escrow is automatically activated for alibaba buyers, and this is basically to protect the buyers against fake sellers. and the fund of the buyer is held by the alibaba for about 60 days, so dat during this period of 30 days, if the seller does not do his own part of the deal, you can write alibaba and your fund is returned to you.

Having used both, i can conveniently say that Chrisvicmall is cheaper. For example, my last order, instead of paying $66 + $99(i bought from 2 sellers) = $161 for DHL, i end up paying $65 + 2.5 + 10 + 10 = $87(saving about 45%). The only thing is that you have to pick it up yourself while for DHL it will be delivered to your address

On which one is the faster, depending on how fast your seller shipped your products, for DHL, between 3 - 5 days after shipment. and for Chrisvicmall if your product is shipped on Saturday, you get it between Monday and Wednesday.
