coldHeat: Whilst we celebrate this, oga seun and mods pls remove links to hidden threads; I take God beg una, sometimes these threads are indexed and some of us access them from Google only to click on it and see the infamous "this thread has been removed or hidden", some of the links we see them on other threads.
Pls its bad to click on a link that points nowhere, proffessionally and otherwise,
I and am sure many others would be very much obliged u do something about this.
2 million threads out of which 5% are hidden or have been removed but the links are still there doesn't speak well us us. Please list 10 of those threads so I can formulate a comprehensive solution. The situation you're describing should not be the case at all, it means that a large number of such threads were removed very recently since google would've delisted old threads already. |

Agriculture › Nigeria Donates 1,003 Tonnes Of Rice, Maize & Fish To Namibia by Seun(mod): 9:27pm On Apr 11, 2015 |
As part of the Federal Government’s effort to provide aid to families affected by drought in Namibia, 300 tonnes of rice, 700 tonnes of maize and 3 tonnes of fish fillets were donated as part of a food consignment to help ease the effect of the disaster caused by erratic rains in the country.
According to the Nigerian High Commissioner to Namibia, Dr. Biodun Olorunfeni, the disaster did not spare human beings as a number of Namibians in rural areas were classified as food insecure while the country recorded a number of deaths occasioned by the unavailability of food.
Olorunfeni commended President Hifikepunye Pohamba of Namibia for what he described as the government’s swift and timely response to the disaster, while pledging the support of the Nigerian government to help surmount the challenges posed by the drought. “The declaration of a state of national emergency in Namibia due to the drought helped in ameliorating the effects of the drought as some international organizations and friendly countries came to render assistance in various forms,” he added.
The drought which hit the country in 2013, caused extensive damage to the ecology and the death of livestock due to the non-availability of grazing and lack of water; though Namibia is yet to make an official appeal for drought assistance to the international donor community, it is feared that the drought could reach devastating heights as the current rainy season is expected to end in April. http://agronigeria.com.ng/2015/04/07/nigeria-supports-drought-stricken-namibia-with-food-donation/

For a while I've been feeding my dog home-cooked noodles mixed with canned sardines because I'm lazy and cheap. Raw food is expensive and time-consuming if you don't have a large deep freezer. Twice a day, I crush two 70g packs of noodles, add a generous amount of water and cook it in a 800W microwave for 10 minutes. Then I add a tin of sardines mash it, and mix it thoroughly with the noodles. Then I wait for it to cool and serve it to the dog. It's a very fast way to feed a dog. Rice is cheaper than Indomie, but I don't use it because cooking it takes longer. Couscous is also good but I can't always get it. Shawa fish is a cheaper and better alternative to canned sardines, but can't be stored as conveniently. Though the above meal is affordable and cost-effective, I've been thinking about switching my dog to a dry dog food for a while, because it's more nutritionally complete while still being cheap. Previous attempts to switch by dog to dry food didn't work out, so I waited until I could find a premium dog food that lists a protein source rather than cereal as it's primary ingredient. Also, I chose to buy puppy version of that dog food because puppy foods are more appealing to dogs and have more protein and fat, while being only a little bit more expensive. I thought that I might have to starve him for a while to get him interested in the dry food, but it wasn't necessary. He finished his first meal very quickly. I think he loves this dry food for two reason: it smells better due to its quality ingredients, and its fine texture makes it easy to lap up. New problem: I don't know where to get more of this puppy food, cos it's out of stock where I bought it. We may have to switch again in 20 days. They say feeding an adult dog with puppy food can make the dog overweight, but this sounds strange since I can just feed less & save money. sledjama: what breed is sloan and how old is he? any picture? He's either 2 years and 10 months old (if what I was told is true) or 3 years and ten months old (if what his card originally said is true).
