PetsRe: My Cauc Just Changed..help!! by Seun(mod): 12:29pm On Apr 03, 2015
Pure Caucasians are bred to behave like that. They are natural guard dogs. That is their purpose in life. You cannot stop them from barking. You need to sell the dog to someone who needs a Caucasian Shepherd dog. For example, a farmer whose sheep are being attacked by wolves. Or a security company. Or a security-conscious family that lives in their own compound with no tenants.

PoliticsRe: Who Do You Want As Head Of The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)? by Seun(mod): 6:44pm On Apr 02, 2015
The normal police should be reformed and the EFCC placed under them. There is nothing special about financial crimes. It's a police thing.

BusinessCBN To Punish Landlords & Schools That Ask For Dollars by Seun(mod):
The Governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele said:

“We are going to be looking at areas where people are doing what I call the unholy attitude of attacking the currency and making demands that are not needed.

“You have heard of dollarization of the economy. We all take actions to prevent that. The currency for doing businesses in Nigeria remains the Naira. And we will be looking at areas where people are making demands of foreign currency. People who are landlords that are asking for rents in dollars; schools that are asking for fees in dollars, or transacting business in dollars in Nigeria, is illegal and will like to advise to involved in these practices to desist from them because CBN will very soon come after them”.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/dollarisation-of-economy-cbn-to-go-after-landlords-schools-emefiele/

I believe that the honourable governor knows that this action will have no impact on the exchange rate of the naira and is just posturing. tongue

PetsRe: Have You Tried The Binggo Dog Food? by Seun(mod):
We dont know how well the food has been tested. I prefer to buy dog food made in countries with very tough dog food regulations. In the US, they test dog food by feeding many dogs in the lab with the food alone for 6 months. If none of the dogs get sick, then they approve it.
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Did GEJ Lose by Seun(mod): 8:12pm On Mar 31, 2015
jmoore:
One thing that is worth emulating is the humble acceptance of defeat by Jonathan.
Yep.
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Did GEJ Lose by Seun(mod):
President Jonathan lost because he did not address the issues that people have with him, but his opponent General Buhari did that:

- GEJ's wife was said to be disgracing the country with her utterances. She was not given any training to improve her diction & grammar.
- GMB was said to be a hard unsmiling man. He started sharing pictures of himself smiling and showing off his beautiful wife and daughters.

- GEJ was said to be soft on corruption. Yet till the very end, he never convinced Nigerians that he's serious about fighting corruption.
- GMB was accused of wanting to jail everybody. So he said that he will "draw a line" on May 29th and only go after people who remain corrupt.

- GEJ was accused of not caring about the plight of the victims of Boko Haram. Yet he refused to get serious about it until the last 6 weeks.
- GMB was said to be a religious fundamentalist & tribalist. So he merged his party with Tinubu's party and picked a pastor as running mate.

- GEJ recognized that his people were not doing a good job of managing his public image. Yet he never replaced them with better people.
- GMB was said to be an old, frail, sick man. So he went to visit some super doctors in the UK and they serviced his engines superbly.

In short, GEJ didn't listen to the people. He did not address their concerns. We can say that some people misled him or failed him, and we would be right, but a good leader surrounds himself with the right people. A good leader appoints people who can do a good job for him.

The CBN cannot run out of Naira just as the sea cannot run out of water. Your money will not disappear. It's risk free in that respect. However there is no guarantee that the money will still have value when you are paid back, due to inflation possibly increasing during the tenure.
