Malawian: everybody has the right to be heard. hidding post infringes on such fundamental human right. let others decide what they take in and not control the direction of the discuss. i say, let freedom reign.
You don't have the right to be heard on someone else's property. Go to a man's house in any country to toast his wife, and he will probably kick you out. No one will defend your right to freedom of speech in that situation. You are free to start your own website or blog to post whatever you like, but when you are on Nairaland, you must respect the rules of Nairaland.
InvestmentRe: When A Share Is On Steady Decline, What To Do? by Seun(mod): 11:33am On Mar 09, 2013
val_dubem: Now my question is: how Do you know if a stock is over-valued, as you cannot always follow your instincts and at times your analysis may fail you.
The true value of a company is the discounted value of all its cash flows (profits or dividends). It is the amount of money which, if invested today in risk-free long-term securities like 30 year FGN bonds, will earn the same amount of money over time as the company in question, after tax. So before you can value a company, you need to know how much money company is likely to make in the near and distant future. You can figure that out by studying the financial statements of the company carefully. It will tell you what assets are owned by the company, their current and past profitability, etc, which you can then try to project into the future. See www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/begfinstmtguide.htm for more details about how to read financial statements. Financial statements in Nigeria are probably not as reliable as financial statements in the developed world, so you have to read between the lines to figure out whether the management is trying to deceive shareholders or not. If this seems like hard work, then yes, that's exactly what it is. You can't make much money in any venture without working hard.

Once you've determined the true value of any company, you should divide it by the number of shares outstanding to get the true value of each share of the company. If the shares are cheaper than the true value, then they are under-valued. If they are more expensive, then they are over-valued. Due to the fact that your estimate of the value of the company may not be exactly right, you should only buy shares that are significantly cheaper than their true value. For the same reason, you should only sell stocks that are significantly more expensive than their true value. If you need to sell your shares during an emergency, you should sell the most over-valued or least under-valued stocks in your portfolio.
Christianity EtcRe: Benny Hinn Crusade In Nigeria (Video) by Seun(mod):
Joagbaje: It's an insult to God for you to call a crusade a "SHOW". I'm disappointed at your lack of reverence.
I apologize for using that word. It was unnecessarily offensive. I should have used the word "crusade?"
Christianity EtcRe: Benny Hinn Crusade In Nigeria (Video) by Seun(mod):
This video made me feel so sad. It was heartbreaking to see people in great pain, who should be in good hospitals, forcing themselves to attend the show crusade. It's disheartening to see them that way knowing that they will inevitably be disappointed in the end.

Billyonaire: Seun, why dont you shut down this site if you hate to hear the truth ? The fact that 90% of posts are hidden is an indication of awareness of truth. What legacy will you leave behind ? ...That you own a communist style forum ?
99% of hidden posts on Nairaland are negative & ugly posts that most Nairalanders want us to hide. We don't like to hide posts, but we will do what we have to do to make the Nairaland forum a place where people can feel at home and discuss issues without being harassed by trolls and aggressive troublemakers.

@stockbull, on Nairaland, when we post news, we always post a link to the source. However, mercycilious should also have posted a summary or excerpt of the news in addition to the link.
PhonesRe: How To Auto-renew MTN Data Plan by Seun(mod):
asudan: probably glo
I can confirm that Glo does auto-renewal too. Anytime you subscribe to or renew a plan, they turn it on, and you have to turn it off if you don't want it.

If you struggle with depression, you should get some medication for it. Some of the drugs they prescribe these days are awesome.

It will not be your last post on Nairaland, and you know it. Cut out the drama and let's talk about whatever is making you upset.
