Serena loses the first set 6 - 3 on another double fault. Was she trying to do her first serve twice?
|
Serena won the last break battle and now she is trying to break Bianca as Bianca serves. Bianca holds and now she is leading 5 - 3! 1st set |
Andreescu, who is leading 4 - 2 is trying to break Serena again. Both of them are playing really well. Update: They are still at it 5 minutes later. |
Serena Williams, serving for the first game, loses it by double-faulting. Is she afraid of getting into long rallies with Bianca? Not looking good for her. |
At 9:00pm today, Serena Williams and Bianca Andreescu will meet to decide the winner of the 2019 US Open tennis tournament, a Grand Slam. Serena Williams is the famous 37 year old American who has won 23 grand slams and hopes to get a 24th one. She is the greatest female tennis player of all time. She famously lost to Naomi Osaka in the final last year and had a meltdown. Since then, she has reached the final of the French Open only to be beaten badly by Simona Halep. Her opponent, Bianca Andreescu is a 19 year old Canadian who won Indian Wells at the beginning of the Year and met Serena Williams for the first time at the Toronto Open last month. Serena had to retire due to back pain when Andreescu was leading the first set 3 - 1, making Andreescu the Toronto Open champion of 2019. Serena is known for her serves, which are often unreturnable due to their placement and power, her service returns, and hard-hitting play. Bianca Andreescu is known for her incredible confidence and composure, great variety in her play, power, and an ability to find a way to win every match. If you're watching the match, you can discuss it here.

AngryParrot1:The late crediting stories are a thing of the past as we now have a hotline you can call after making your payment to get it taken care of very quickly. |
Please bear with me for not responding in detail up to this point. We have lots of issues at the moment but I will get to this as soon as I can. |
Jen92:Has it stopped? |
Following this interesting thread. |
Now this is interesting for home gardeners. |
Is there any demand for egg powder? What's' it used for? |
Brainboxfid:You can probably start small now. Buy some flower pots, fill them with soil or potting mix, and get to work! |
What's the temperature range of the device? |
ExportResource:Could you supply the shells? |
PeraGSD:Aww, such beautiful creatures. |
hulk616:You can’t have a character who has genius level intelligence and is also all-powerful, because he would be realistically unbeatable. If you have God like powers and yet keep losing, you cannot be that bright. This applies to Superman, too. |
Don't feed your babies with Soya Bean meal on a regular basis. |
The lady is an idiot (no offence) |

halalMACburger:We should not forget that we are products of our upbringing. We should not think we are fundamentally superior to the less privileged. For me, the was no twist in the end because it was clear why Lupita's mirror character could talk.I missed it because I wasn't looking for a twist, and also because the movie kind-of lied to us. Red should have mentioned it but never did. |
I watched Us recently. It was everything I expected it to be. Lupita Nyongo is a gift to humanity. Us was written and directed by Jordan Peele, the same guy who created Get Out. Compared to Get Out, Us is more of a parable. It doesn’t try to explain everything that happens logically, but it has a strong message, which is revealed in the end. |

Congrats Nadal |
Ashley Bartey has been arguably the best player in the world for a while (see WTA “Elo” ranking), so she deserves this win for sure. |
