Comrade, I concur with your 9.5/10 rating on this movie. This Movie sweet die! grin

This is the reason I prefer watching old movies - anything from 1990 to 2014. Only a handful of the latest movies tickle my fancy.

BTW, try to watch these movies. I’d like to see your ratings on these Movies.

1.) The Hunt for Red October - 1990

2.) Enemy At The Gate - 2001

3.) Chicago - 2002

4.) Kingdom of Heaven - 2005

5.) Body of Lies - 2008

6.) Once in the Desert - 2022

Abeg where can I download that downfall. It's not on fz.

Can't believe that banshees of inisherin didn't win anything, lost out to that fraud EEAA0, couldn't even bring myself to finishing the movie slept off thrice. I just deleted it, banshees of Inisherin is a better movie, I haven't watched the whale, so can't quite comment on Fraser's acting and if he deserved it more than Collins.

I've watched Banshees of Inisherin like four times. It's a kind of movie I can go to when I feel like I want to chill down and relax my mind. It's a very real movie with very little or no computer alteration. EEAAO is just as ambiguous as the title. It's just too much with no interesting point.

Banshees have won all movie awards since then except this Oscar. I think it's a misjudgment on Oscar part.

Jokanem:
Is Gambling a Sin?

Although the Bible does not discuss gambling in detail, we can discern from Bible principles that God views gambling as a sin.—Ephesians 5:17. a

Gambling is driven by greed, which God hates. (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10; Ephesians 5:3, 5)

Gamblers hope to gain money through the losses of others, but the Bible condemns coveting other people’s possessions.—Exodus 20:17; Romans 7:7; 13:9, 10.

Gambling, even for small amounts, can arouse a destructive love of money.—1 Timothy 6:9, 10.

Gamblers often rely on superstitions or luck. However, God views such beliefs as a form of idolatry, which is incompatible with his worship.—Isaiah 65:11.

Rather than promote a desire to get something for nothing, the Bible encourages hard work. (Ecclesiastes 2:24; Ephesians 4:28) Those who follow the Bible’s advice can “eat food they themselves earn.”—2 Thessalonians 3:10, 12.

Gambling can arouse an unhealthy competitive spirit, which is disapproved in the Bible.—Galatians 5:26.

So you think gamblers don't work for their money, even if it's the one they win through bet?

Any body care to read meaningful meaning to the reactions from their faces?

Majority of them look as if he just said something to them that put them into deep thinking, looking at him as if he just achieved a feat and win an award worthy of jealousy. You could read deep happiness on some faces too.

PO would have been a wonderful president if he had won.

Cashless policy I raised is just one of the advantages of this redesign of Naira. Earlier before now, people rarely use mobile transfer but the its usage in this short period of time has risen up-to 80%. Many businesses have provided themselves with one even market women, I talking with particular reference to south east. Even in European countries, they still make use of cash but cash in circulation is minimal. Difficult for politicians to starch money in their ware houses. This is one the project of this redesign of Naira note.
You have now make it clear to me that you are from south west, what you understand by redesign? Both old note and new note are they the same? You don't have any argument on that, you are just following the senseless argument by El Rufia. To redesign is to effect a change in already existing structure.
5-8 years for redesign of any currency do your research. I will not say much on it.
You didn't raise any factual point, I was expecting you to argue on main point which is economy. If you have agreed that this redesign will prompt politicians like Tinubu who starched billions of Naira notes in his ware houses waiting for election, in order to use them for vote buying... That he will gentle submit them to CBN and boast the economy he is crippling.
Our arguments is on CBN in fighting to stop vote buying, improve economy because politicians like Tinubu will make their stolen money available, and cashless society... Don't turn into something else. I have seen how you are trying to change the narrative.

Scarcity of cash in the nation is an improvement on the economy to you. Issorite, wehdon sir. The last time I checked, inflation only kept adding up, even with the naira recolor. Dollar to naira have not appreciate even by 1% in the past few days. The country GDP only remains stagnant, just kept getting worse. Mr man, we all know the reason the naira was recolor is to avoid vote buying and I've argued that it's a wrong approach to curb vote buying. Please be realistic, it's not in any way to help survive or grow the economy. Let's have this election by weekend and see the results then you will understand how the approach is the wrong way to curb vote buying.

This Naira recolour will help our economy immensely. Are you aware that Boko Haram are greatly affected by this scheme to the extent that they are giving out their old notes of which they can't access to new Naira.
Economically, are you not aware that banks grant loans, trillions of Naria stored in one place how is helping our economy? Loans from the banks are used for business... Grains and interest are made from them.
Naira redesign is one of the ways of fighting vote buying, since they can't have access to it, they can't buy vote. CBN is working with EFCC, ICPC and other law enforcement to fight crime, since it has to do with money they are involved.
Bargaining with bank managers is not ruled out but the amount of new notes produced is limited. CBN is working towards making the country a cashless community with limited 500 & 1000 notes. I am telling you it's one of the avenues of stabilising our economy.
Our constitution demands that Naira should be redesign every five years but its over 10 ten's now.

These are short term effects. Recolor of naira now is not the beginning of cashless policy. Cashless policy has been in place for a long time before now and it can never be 80% infact 50% effectual in the nation because, first Nigeria still have high rate of uneducated people and secondly it is still one of the poorest country in the world.
And where in the Constitution does it say naira should be redesign in 5yrs? I'm afraid, it's not the same constitution that I know. Infact, what we have in the new naira is not a redesign but a recolor. If you understand what redesign means you won't ague on this because we are still with the old design. Just debate on the factual points I raised earlier. This points of yours does not justify CBN misdeeds and terrible implementation of policy.

Nobody is playing with you or taking you as a fool. CBN is saying that up-to 2 trillion Naria is still in the hands of people mainly politicians. These money are not in bank, or are they being used for transaction, in order to save Nigeria redesigning Naira at this election period is the only way out. It will prompt them to bring it out and deposit it. And also CBN is not ready to give them such amount now in new note, hence they are curtailing vote buying. It is painful but it's only for the period of election. All these governors and presidential candidate fighting for old notes are doing so because of their stored old notes in their ware houses.

Is it today? Politicians in Nigeria have been storing money as far as one could remember. From what you said, so if they come and deposit it, how would that help the economy. How does this naira recolor help the wretched economy.

Do you think the change of Naira is the best way to curtail vote buying. When does a financial institution becomes a law enforcement agency. If they know there are people keeping tonnes of money they could not account for, why didn't they just faces it head on and bring them out. You said CBN is not ready to give them such amount in new note now which means they will give them later, right. How does that stop them from future act of storing cash they can't account for in their house.

What do you think happened to majority of first batch of new notes CBN dished out. Bro, don't be surprised that new notes will be shared on election day. These same politicians bargain with bank managers to have their money changed. How do you think they got such huge cash which CBN is trying to make irrelevant now, how do you think they got it in the first place. When you promised bank manager to get 30m out of 100m you want to change, as a bank manager would you turn that down.

Recolor of New naira was a rush, biased decision that have little to no effect on the economy. It only make life hard for Nigerians. But who cares, they will endure and move on and forget it all with time. And so it goes in Nigeria, we keep going in circle with terrible way of governance.

Interesting...
A man I know was boasting that even if Tinubu gives him 10k on election day..that he will reject the money and still vote Obi..and we were all cheering him on...But that was before all this madness started...
Now that man is literally a beggar...all his money stuck in d bank and he cant withdraw shishi..he now goes around begging and borrowing...just give that man 1k now and see if he won't vote Tinubu..
Even me that volunteered myself to work as a Labour Party agent on election day through my dad that is a friend to the LP chairman in my LGA...how will I even see the money to transport myself to and fro the polling unit they will post me to?..just where?
The LP party chairman said the little "tips" they will give us is via transfer..I even helped him transfer some cash to some party agents the other day (or some of u peeps think LP don't need cash for the elections too?)
I heard some big PDP Men in my town (some of the richest men in Igboland) are planning to share dollars on election day( See eh.. those big men will always find their way around any hurdle..that's how they became rich in the first place).
If bubu is really serious about curbing vote buying..what happened to posting two or three agents of the Nigerian Army.. EfCC..ICPC..DSS..SSS..Civil Defense e.t.c..to every polling units nationwide to stop vote buying( l didn't even add police sef..cus those ones are useless)...
So Buhari that ruthlessly fought we Igbos during d civil war and has never hidden his hatred for us.. will now suddenly be fighting Tinubu and Atiku..so that an Igbo man Obi will become President and immediately release Nnamdi Kanu(Buhari's nemesis)... Interesting!!!
Emefiele and the villa cabal are the ones behind this mess.. Emefiele for personal vendetta against Tinubu for loosing the APC primaries..then d cabal wanna cause anarchy..so they can impose an ING and codedly retain power...They are just using Bubu...

My goodness God. I am so overwhelmed. It just seems I'm the one writing this. Please, Robertgreene1 did you kind of copy my brain functioning or what. I'm happy I eventually find one person that share a mindset. I've been arguing with the same point with folks here so far it just keep occurring to me that majority of Nigerians are stupid. And that's why this politician keep playing us over and over again. All of a sudden, Buhari became the best man to them. The president they would want to say bring our bubu back. I know what these people are trying to achieve with this, but I don't see why all institutions have to be shut down.

Normally, election Day is like holiday. Lectures do not hold and nobody goes to work. Everybody is expected to go out and vote that day. So why shut down the institutions.

It just keeps occurring to me that our policy makers, and majority of people in government are very low and terrible thinkers. It's disgracefully incredible.

First, you change the nation's currency because you want to prevent some folks from sharing the money they stacked somewhere during elections.

Now you are shutting institutions down for weeks in order for students to have time to vote. Seriously undecided

There are better ways, bold ways, brave and smart ways to achieve all that. What gives them assurance that students would vote, that they even have voters card. Would they force them out now that they feel they could just relax at home as it is an holiday.

This country nawa jare.

I'd say it has to do with us taking charge of situations we engage in. Remember that, Anya told the man she was with that he should speak to the chef and demand that he want some changes to his order since he paid for the food show or tour. But he was carried away by how he want the chef to like him. So he forget his rights and the authority he have over the chef himself. Inferiority complex. I think that's it, the movie just preached about inferiority complex. Okay

There are two movies I'm kinda finding it hard to read meanings to...believe me, I enjoyed them. I just couldn't fathom their messages.

1. The Menu &

2. Everything Everywhere All at once.

I could understand that number 2 was trying to portray a kind of invisible war we fight in our mind or thoughts. A kind of fights that goes on in a troubled mind to accept some new or old situations or circumstances. You know

And number 1 is just the hardest to read meaning to. Like, how did she escape not being cooked like others. Fine, she took charge like a customer should when a service is being rendered to her, got her food ordered her way and was allowed to leave. Others could have followed her way and do the same but didn't. Also, it seems the chef was trying to punish the invited guests or let say, tourists, on their untrustworthy behavior. But why die with them.

Please, share the message you think these amazing movies were trying to pass if you have watched them. Let's learn.

If you are unemployed or Underemployed; Stop Sitting at Home;
Consider this

A lot of people have reached out to say it is difficult to get a job without having an influential connection, I totally disagree.

The problem is most of us sit down and expect jobs to come to us.

Employers don't owe you any jobs

See below Strategies that may help your job search;

1. Don't sit at home , move round, attend events

2. When you meet people, do not just greet them and leave, make a connection by striking a conversation and do not be shy to say you need a job.

3. Nurture the connections you make and keep in touch.

Don't expect that once you tell someone once you need a job, they ll always remember.

Keep in touch and don't be a nuisance.

Most people prefer text messages.

4. Do unsolicited visits to companies- A lot of mid sized businesses need employees and they will be willing to hire you.

5. Be well dressed as you move around.

Don't because you are unemployed look tattered and unkept, no employer wants an untidy employee. There are a lot of cheap options.

6. Volunteer, do internships even if the pay only cover your transport & feeding.

Offer to work for free rather than sitting at home. No experience is a waste.

7. Looking for a job is a full time job, so give it your best. Don't be tired of applying for jobs in 2023

I wish you all the best in your job search

The money to move around nko. It's one of those things.

Secondly, I think not knowing about the opposite se.x too is a recipe for marital disaster. A man should know a lot about the woman nature and a woman too should know a lot about men and their ways. For example, most Naija women think that se.x is the only thing that can keep a man loyal to them. Hence, they focus more on having a sexy body rather than working on themselves to become more likable.

Most Naija women can hardly hold a meaningful conversation with their partner, they can hardly contribute meaningfully to issues, most don't have the requisite skills to become their partner's 'buddy'. To them, relationship is about the man providing the money while they in turn provide the se.x. Tufia! angry angry
