Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by seyilapy(m): 1:24am On Sep 30, 2015 |
bro keep the good work going pls will like to discuss personally wif u off air cos am a learner how can i do that? thanks zandora: Hello all,
I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view
In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
Next take your IELTS General test.
Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp
Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp
Other things you must have:
Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:
Written on company letterhead.
Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.
Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.
Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses
Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)
The letter must include 5 things:
Your job title.
The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).
Your salary per year (or month).
Your average hours per week.
A detailed list of your employment duties.
Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp
Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:
Number of Family Members Funds Required (in Canadian dollars) 1 $11,931 2 $14,853 3 $18,260 4 $22,170 5 $25,145 6 $28,359 7 or more $31,574
Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.
Wishing you the best of luck !

* tongue out * LoooooL who knows APWEN? That's how you guys were forming too back then in school LoooooL. Well as regards NSE and COREN there is relevance o. Check out job adverts in some cases you see things like must be a registered engineer bla bla bla and I don't think there is any harm joining. As I earlier said God help us and lead us right. Miss APWEN looooool. Proud member of APMEN too. * winks * debbie: Thanks dear....as for the COREN AND NSE thing alot of graduates are scared to join, some dont see any relevance their while some dont just have any reason why they shouldnt join. Anyway i am a proud member of APWEN for now. Truth is being a member exposes you to alot of positive Stuffs. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: A Thread For Graduates Of Electrical/electronics Engineering Seeking For Jobs by seyilapy(m): 6:06am On Sep 09, 2015 |
Keep it up debbie you killed it. You said it all and that the punch-line. Main issue fresh graduates have now is they want money first experience later which I don't think can work that way. In my own case will even advice starting from a lowkey company where by you can grab all the experience you need then use the experience gained to get a higher paid job. Also as you rightly said jack-of-all-thread does not work out as we all know Elect Eng has different fields just pick the one most preferable face it and have brief or little knowledge of other aspect because this days machines are designed with combination of the major 3 aspects power, control and communication. Just found this thread today and am happy to meet my junior, fellow and senior ogas @ the top. God bless us all Amen. ( Don't forget to join NSE and COREN too o ) debbie: like the guy above rightly said....well you all should remember that electrical/electronics is very vast.choose an area you want to grow in,i dont believe in following the trend.Aside that, the course gives room for private practices.Example, earlier in my career i was into autocad drawing for clients, which i did to support myself before i got a job. See doing your Msc or certification is not a guarantee that you will sail smoothly,if and only if you dont make the best out of the path you chose.
Fast forward,i decided to go into core IT because i knew where i wanted to be....writing all my cisco certifications is and was never a waste today.Simply because i had a target which i am so happy i did. To all the fresh graduates, please carry out research on what you want to do.If you want to do your MSC choose a course you can do very well.If you are doing certification please dont be jack-of-all-thread,you should be singled out as an expert in future. If you are seeking a job,let the experience you will gain be the driving point (experience adds value to you tomorrow) then the pay comes second. To those working whether you are enjoying your place of work or not, keep the hope and dream high( you need it to move on and stay in track).
Now to my senior colleagues in the house,i greet you all. From my humble self,a woman engineer in the house |

WORKED.... Also for those yet to apply the vacancy is still opened. NickApa: For those having "user already registered" issue, just make sure you input values into the field marked for passport and voter number. Don't fill in NA or NIL. Input values there. You can use your National identity number.... or any long sequence of numbers, like 14 or 15 digits. try it, it'll work. No need to create new email address..... Please share with others. Cheers! |
