A friend applied for COS update 4 months ago, after a a week he was asked to send salary evidence, he sent his payslip and contract and letting them know the company made a salary error of £23.8 instead of £23.816.
3weeks later his employer was contacted and employer adjusted the COS certificate. After another 3 weeks they sent a letter to employer again asking that is it £11.90 @ 37.5 hours, his employer responded and said if £11.45 @ 40hrs which makes a total of £23,816 annually.
It been 3 months since the employer replied nothing heard about the application. Has anyone experienced this long delay of 4months on skilled job in health and care?
should my friend be worried about the outcome?
NB: he has resumed his role.

Dear guys and erudite,

I am picking up my elderly parent at Manchester Airport soonest. I want to find out, please, any advice on the most cost-effective parking options available near the terminals and ways to minimise the parking time (besides live tracking of flight). The cheapest I could see online is an average of £12 per hour at T1/T2 multistorey carpark.
Furthermore, does the airport offer any services to help passengers with baggage collection and trolley pushing to the arrival gate, particularly elderly with mobility limitations?

Any driving situations or penalties to watch out for at the airport or en route? I appreciate any other help you might have. Thanks
You should have 1 hour free parking, if they can get support with their luggage, which I feel there will be help. Park somewhere close to the airport it could be 10-15 minutes drive to the airport (Wythenshawe) and leave onces they have passed immigration. You will be able to manage the 1 hour free parking.

Hello,
A friend will be done with school in Dec, Two Company has offered to issue him COS, the first one is dormicilary care, while the other is a support work.

The dormicillary care is willing to switch his visa right away. While the support work says 6 weeks to the expiration of his visa which will be in April.

concerns are:
Wouldn’t the new skilled worker salary increment affect companies from issuing COS within the UK, when implemented.

Can any new policies affect switching visas within the UK regarding this plan in changing overseas skilled worker visa.

Is it okay, he takes the COS from the Dormicillary care and switch later to the support in April or should just wait, still April.

But as a student, you are a resident now, that's why you have BRP (Biometric Residence Permit).
Have not said students are not resident, there is an option on that same website, that’s give students option of an international driving permit.

The international driving permit is irrelevant. The UK Gov website talks about national licenses, and does not mention that permit, and most people have confirmed as well that what police check is the national driving license.

Since yours is expired I doubt it would be acceptable. An expired document has no validity and would not be acceptable even in Nigeria so I would be shocked to see that it's acceptable in the UK.

You should do your research and maybe experiment sha.

Edit: See the UK gov website: https://www.gov.uk/driving-nongb-licence/y/a-resident-of-great-britain/full-car-and-motorcycle/any-other-country

It says "You can drive in Great Britain on your full, valid driving licence for 12 months from when you became resident"(emphasis mine)
That is if you are a residence but if you are a student you can drive with international driving permit for 12 months as it is written on their website. But unfortunately, the information there isn’t according to what the police follows, they follow strictly on been a uk residence not as a student. Which some people have been unfortunate with.

Hello, can one drive in the uk with a Nigerian temporary paper for renewal of a driver’s license. The drivers license is on process no plastic car yet.

Will this be regarded as a valid license?

I have a provisional license and I have been in the Uk for 5 months. Is it advisable to keep driving with my Nigerian license while I get prepared to get my uk driving license.

Pay-600-700weekly (negotiable)
Client will cater for your feeding and living expense.
Client is mixed kenyan and indian.
Age preference- 20-40years( not discriminating this is just as a result of demanding nature of the job).

I
I got into Toronto a few days ago, on holidays, will be in the US for some time too from next week, come and see "saner climes" na. I just picked up my gadget now to update myself about home. I'm phased, annoying news everywhere. Amotekun, what about it? What happened in Imo today please? I just hope I'm able to see my kids through Secondary School before shipping them out of Nigeria to their "homes", I pray. I have put too much in Nigeria, it saddens me today. Government has never put bread directly on my table, an enabling environment created by them in time past deserves my appreciation today when I reason them side by side this current one.

I won't waste energy right now saying much, but I will just say you guys are the biggest problem of Nigeria, Buharists particularly! Yeah, Nigeria is messed up long ago, but Buhari is the greatest disservice done our dear nation. Nigeria's "turn-around-maintenance" after him will take decades. Kill and shelve that nonsense hope of a better Naija, only a miracle will make that happen, please....

Yes all airports. Dont be scared. You will only have issues if you do any of the things people have been listing. Honesty pays. No fear.
Why I had no issues with the boarder officer was because, I was honest.

I saved a name and added TLS to it....that's was the whatapp chat she went to straight while reading the chat she asked me about our conversation n I was telling her right there n asked who the person is to me. I told her I met the person at the application center when I went to apply for my visa of which this person is an applicant too.

She searched my wallet brought out everything . Checked my two phones and read some of my chats. I was there for 20 to 30 minutes.

She brought out everything in my luggage and wiped my luggage to scan.

While she was checking she was asking me questions and I was responding truthfully.

To those that might have an unconscious implicating chats or mail.

Hello my people...... Any first timer coming into UK through Heathrow airport....should be very careful.

make sure you delete any chat or mail that can land u back to muritala, make sure u don't save people's name with some funny words..my experience yesterday at Heathrow airport was a serious check by the boarder officers after being checked in by immigrations.

A guy was sent back cos they said his visa is fake which is not true. At first timer coming in at this time should be careful.

Which means they are ready to send pple back at the slightest of any thing.

If you attach a cover letter and you wrote the correct figure in the cover letter it may not count....cos I made such mistake in my additional info but wrote the correct figure in the cover letter and it didn't count. Just be positive.

Will this be good evidence ?

How much should i have in my acct to be issued a visa?

Thanks...

Okay. She is a minor so she cannot invite you. You can apply for a visit visa at INIS website. Request for an invitation letter from her foster parents stating clearly the purpose of the visit and its importance. If there are willing to provide accomodation, they will have to submit utility bills as proof of address, if not book a hotel. The application is online and at the end you will see the list of document to submit with your application. You will need to show evidences of your relationship to your nieces and her mother such photos, letters, emails, death certificate etc. Also you will need to submit bank statement as proof of funds, letter from your work places and documents concerning social life like marriage certificate, kids birth certificate etc.[/quote]
