VickyRotex: Youth obey the Clarion call Let us lift our nation high Under the sun or in the rain With dedication and selflessness Nigeria is ours, Nigeria we serve.
The best! Each time I sing the anthem during CDS meeting, I begin to imagine who destroyed this country on meditation of each word... sad
Where is the intelligence of the NA? This is barbaric! NA Should be cautioned. Let us emulate some manner of operation from the western world so as to avoid animalistic act and other countries laughing at this nation. The militants that did this evil act aren't there, so why destroying innocent houses and properties? We are aware of the menace of BOko Haram IN the NE, year NA has not even destroyed the bush not to talk of people's houses. BOko Haram has taken over the north, that's it, until politician stop whatever they know is wrong, Nigeria will come to peace and unity. Does the NA think by doing this act of zoo to this community will stop the problem? if the same militants wants to attack, they will even attack more gruesomely than the initial. Remember, it's the sniper at the roof that sees who he wants to execute. I call on the NA to use their intelligence to handle the issue rather than this act. it's unfair. This is not the way to bring justice, this will rather inflame the situation. But they just want to tell the people they are military. If a Ghanaian military was murdered in day light and their military service could investigate Ethan than go and kill, why should NA act this if Our neighborhood country Ghana can't o such. Shame!

tete7000: People can ask degrading questions and those without personal pride too answer. How does another virginity concern someone else? Joblessness has turned many into senseless being.
Bros, I tire o. Help me tell am o. Very unnecessary question. I wonder what led him to ask such silly question.
Essentials1: So after promising myself that I will marry a virgin, I begin to wonder how it would be for our ladies... I have seen some girl who date at least five guys (and slept with all of them all in the name of love) before getting married... Although most of them are not still married. I have met ladies who slept with guys all in the name of school boyfriends, love and plays... The one that happens during NYSC is another issue.
Some ladies will rant that men should be virgins too, but remember that they are not the ones wearing the engagement ring...
So ladies! does keeping your virginity till marriage make you a better person?
Does zipping up till the right man puts a ring on it make you more committed and strong...
Please don't start saying that there are some girls who are virgins and once they were married and deflowered, they started sleeping around.. Just answer the question according to yourself.
Why do you ask? Is there anything the wrong in it? Or have you thought soo deeply about how a girl refuse to give you all in the name of virgin that's why you bring it here? Or is there any psychological disorder in your brain? Sometimes, we ask rhetorical questions and this one! I see no reason for this question, it just annoys me that I have to respond to this same question cos they it's quite annoying, I mean no diss, but understand me.

Yarnvibes: Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed has stated that he has been vindicated with the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from London.
Buhari took off from London Saturday morning to return to Nigeria after 100 days of medical abroad.
Speaking on NTA while waiting for the president’s arrival at the airport, the minister said there would be celebration at the home of every Nigerian over the recovery of the president.
“We’ll, to say I have been vindicated is an understatement. I am happy and I believe so is every Nigeria. There will be surely celebration in the home of every Nigeria today,” he said.
Asked if there will be any party to welcome the president, Mohammed jokingly said, “I heard the NTA is organizing a party and we will join you guys to celebrate.”
What are we celebrating? Rubbish! Can this happen in a well organized and reasonable country? A country that has love for her citizen, can such happen? If Mr. Lai is here, let him answer, I don't see the health of the president from his arrival video to be okay. I wish him good luck, for me, no celebration all I need is honest from our leaders! God bless Nigeria, God bless her citizens. 7
HumanistMike: The Catholic Church is a cult that worships statues. They prostrate before a white statue they claim is for Mary. However, no one knows what Mary looks like so in whose image was that statue made?
The same goes for the Jesus' images they worship.
The exPriest saw the light and got tired of their bullsh1t.
Them excommunicating him is indicative of their cultist status. There's even a warning for their members to not communicate with him. Losers! The Catholic Church sounds like losers!
I used to have catholic friends so I know a bit. They follow a pattern that's preset from the Vatican. No room for individuality. It's 100% control and recital. Just follow instructions and don't ask questions. Don't think, the church will do the thinking for you. It's a sin to think for yourself. That's probably the box the man referred to.
Some birds are born to fly.
If the Catholic Church is a real positive establishment, they won't be bitter about him leaving, rather, they'll wish him "good luck in his future endeavours"...but noooooo! E dey pain them.
Say what other people doesn't know about Catholic if you have said all. Even Jesus felt the pain as human, that was why He called His father, "Why have you forsaken me?" Men, if you really want to serve God, then you have a cross To carry. You can't eat your cake and have it, we bend rule to suit ourselves. Whether we like it our not, there is God. Even Jesus prayed for the suffering to pass Him by, not to talk of mere human. I love Jesus. I believe in one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins... Amen.
Banks are just being wicked and sometimes don't know what they are doing. A card that has your NIN why is it not used? rubbish laws! FG said this cards can be used pending when permanent one comes out. For me, I use mine in my Bank, but I hear some bank refuses it like Sterling.... What else do they want us to use? What is wrong with this country, full of controversies and contradictions!
numericalguy: Stoopeed bigot. Olodo rabata wey you be. Dundee united.
Where in the national youth service rules states that you must not be a Muslim. If only you had gone to a higher institution, you would have read that the NYSC is for everyone irrespective of religious beliefs.
You are the FC Dundee. I don't need to tell you am a graduate but I just did by this statement. I passed through the scheme okay. So tell me where in the Constitution has one got to dress like that to any federal Government work? I got two Muslims women (Chronic) ones who lectured me in school, to an extent they are those you call Eleya I guess but told me due to the work she can't cover her face with hijab. So "don't be dumb" Bizzy Bone (Bone Thugs N Harmony). Your don't read through lines before you comment or quote someone. I asked a question, and you developed the wrong answer yourself. Too bad! I have not said anything, only you open your gutter mouth to mush shit out. Who come be Olodo? Na You!
Did he not do registration IN Camp? How did his database get into the system of fake as Senate list is the first verification? I hope you all understand my view. Something about this info is not clear to me
EdwardVictorC: POLICE SHOOT AT PROTESTERS IN ABUJA - MY REACTIONS! While Nigerians were still mourning their deads who were victims of the anambra terror attack, the Nigerian authorities through the instrumentality of our deliquescent police force resumed another round of shooting this morning.
What is wrong with people demanding that, an incapacitated ghost president surface himself or resign, so that the country can move forward? Is it no longer the democratic right of the people to protest and demand for accountability? Does the people no longer have a say in the way and manner they should be governed? Is the same government trying to save its face from embarrassment so stupid to know, the people face shame wherever they are seen today just because of the callously clueless manner the current leaders handle the business of governance?
This government have lost total value for the lives and properties of the people they swore to protect.
SHAME UNTO YOU LEADERS OF DOOM!!!
Really Shame! So no light for protest in Nigeria's Democracy... Shame on them!
AngelicBeing: If it will cut the bloated cost of governance, it is welcomed but my fears are it might lead to dictatorship which is common in most African government where they have weak institutions, maybe it is time for Nigeria national assembly to be scrapped and send our useless lawbreakers to the village
All the senators we have what have they done? I wish this can be done in Nigeria even dictator(with fair heart) should be the president of Nigeria will be better than the one we are now.
Whatever the Atheist like let them say, as for the girl, if she knows she created herself and feels there is no God, let her create something supernatural and let the world know that she is also supreme being. People just speak out of ignorance and flippancy just to get attention of public. What's her view of God? God is patient, He allows certain things to happen for something else to be revealed. After all, His son was murdered, was He (God) not aware? Even Apostles died of persecution, all was to fulfill His will. The word is a Mystery. So to all who don't believe in God, please regenerate Your Own being as God created Adam and Eve, then the animals and other earthly things, then if you can, I will serve your god.
Sad... I just can't say a word. Even in our present state of nation, this is what they intend to do for the country, Luxuries is their problem... Only God will judge them, most importantly, Time will tell... God bless Nigeria, and God bless her citizens.
A Catholic priest in Nigeria stunned radio listeners when he announced on a live programme that he was quitting the Catholic Church.
Patrick Edet, who served under the Catholic Diocese of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has been a popular voice on radio in the state through his weekly live programme called Grace and Inspiration.
On Wednesday, on Planet 101.1FM, Uyo, instead of airing his usual inspirational message which has over the years endeared him to thousands within and outside the state, Mr. Edet dropped the shocking news.
“On 31 of July, I resigned from my services, my duties and obligations as a Catholic priest,” he said.
“I ceased to be a Catholic priest in my thinking, in my spirit, in my soul, (and) in my body.
“Yesterday, the 1st of August, was my first day outside the laws, the regulations, (and) the authority of the Catholic church.
“In my mind, every law that bound me bound me because I submitted myself to the Catholic Church as an institution.
“Having submitted my resignation letter to my authorities in the Catholic Church, in my spirit, soul and body, I am free from every law that guided me. I submit myself to one authority – God,” he said.
Mr. Edet was a Catholic priest for more than 11 years.
Akwa Ibom, a predominantly Christian state, has a high Catholic population.
It is very rare in Nigeria to have a priest quit the Catholic Church.
He said he prayed and fasted for seven months before he took the decision to leave the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church in the state could not be reached immediately for their comment on the matter.
Apart from being a radio preacher, Mr. Edet runs a crowd-pulling fellowship in Uyo, outside the control of the Catholic Church, using his Grace Family Global Outreach.
Those who have attended the fellowship meetings before said things are done the Pentecostal style – like prophesying and “speaking in tongue” – which often brought the priest into conflict with the Catholic doctrine and leadership.
Mr. Edet, throughout the about 40 minutes broadcast on Wednesday, explained his experience with God, his personal philosophy of life, and his conflict with the Catholic Church.
He said he had gone through a lot of opposition, antagonism and blackmail for the years he has been running the fellowship.
“All I hear every time is that I am not truly a Catholic priest.
“It has been in conflict in my heart because why I actually accepted not to marry and have children was not just to be a Catholic priest, but to do the things that I do – be nutty on radio and shout and laugh and inspire somebody. And cry when I need to cry and console somebody who cries and to live my life out in my faith openly and in the process make mistake.
“Peace has been taken away from me for years. I live in fear and in doubt. Sometimes I doubt myself – am I really right, am I in the right place,” he said.
Mr. Edet praised the Catholic Church as being “so organised” and “the best institution that has ever been built” by man, but however said that the space given to him in the Catholic Church as a minister was so small.
“A box is already made for you and you cannot go outside that box,” he explained.
“You cannot know God beyond that box. You cannot express God beyond that box. And any attempt for you to go beyond that box brings you label.
“The God that I have discovered in life is a God that cannot be fully known. That God is a God that cannot be fully predicted and cannot be fully captured in human expression otherwise he will cease to be a mystery. That is a God I have come to accept as my God.
“I have come to realise that serving that God you need freedom. When that freedom is limited you cannot fully serve that God.
“Each time I tried to cross the line, the thing I meet crushes me on the inside and makes me feel guilty. But I cannot stop doing it. There’s a pull inside of me telling me there is more, and life was meant to be more and that more is found in freedom in God.
The priest said he was aware that his action would bring along some unpleasant consequences, like rejection, for instance, and that he was ready to face them.
He said God would judge him, not by the words or actions of the Catholic Pope, but by his own life on the earth, and therefore he accepted responsibility for his action.
“The reason I am doing this is that I want to be right with God first. I want to go to heaven when I die.
“For those who are broken, I have these words for you – I have been broken for years.”
The cleric prayed for those who will condemn him for leaving the Catholic Church, adding that “I don’t even need to say I forgive you; you are right in your thinking, but just that you don’t know everything – you don’t know what has been in my life, you don’t know my motive, you don’t know why I leave, you don’t know who called me, how I was called and the covenant I have had with God, you don’t know where I am going to.
“It is not the Church that called me, it is God who called me that is above the Church, and my interest is to be right with Him first and have peace with Him first.”
Mr. Edet, who said he would continue to build his fellowship, promised never to ask or encourage people to leave the Catholic Church.

I was opportuned to listen to his broadcast.. anyone that knows him knows that he is a fiery man of God. him talk say him calling been be to serve God and not serve the Bishop or pope. He said that he want to spread Gods gospel to the ends of the earth, and that the rules and ordinance of the church are a major hindrance.. he stated an irreconcilable grievance with the Bishop as one of the reasons.. he said that rather than fight with them that he prefers to leave.
I heard that he owns Grace MediaOutreach a media platform that preaches on all radio stations in Akwa Cross. he owns a school... and he is willing to walk away from all that with nothing....
so you guys should know what you spit... Fr Patrick Edet was the Father Mbaka of the Akwa/Cross region.

Correction, nobody serves Bishops of Pope IN the Catholic Church.
Bigboyz32: Some days back, I made a post on Nairaland on how I earned 6 Million naira from Fiverr in 20 months.
It was received with lots of criticism mostly from those who have tried one online business or the other and failed at it. They accused me of making the entire process look so easy whereas it isn’t.
Well, I want to clear some misconceptions with this post.
Making legitimate money anywhere, whether online or offline is easy and at the same time hard.
It is easy if you learn the nitty-gritty of the business and you are willing to commit your time into making it work. It becomes hard when you don’t know the nooks and crannies of the business.
The same thing applies on Fiverr.
Fiverr is not a get-rich-quick scheme that you can jump in today and expect to earn one million naira within one month. It doesn’t work that way.
If you read the post, you will discover that the 6 million naira earned was within a 20month interval.
When you get started on Fiverr, the first one or two months tends to be slow because you are new and you don’t have enough reviews from previous clients. So only few clients will be willing to hire you.
But as your reviews keep increasing, your trust level will increase and so your sales increases too.
While some are lucky (like I was) to earn up to $500 (N170,000) or more on their first month, most people earn between $100 (N33,000) to $250 (N83,000).
Even if you earned $100 in your first month, it is still a good start since the work you will do will take you less than 24hours combined to do. In this post, I will give you the pros and cons of working on Fiverr so that you can decide if it’s for you or not.
Let me start with the cons; the negatives
CONS OF WORKING ON FIVERR
1. TO MAKE MORE MONEY, YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK MORE
If you earn $20 (N6,500) for a job that takes you an hour to execute, it means that for you to earn $500 in a month, you need to do 25 jobs which will take 25hours, even though the hours are spread within the days of the month and not a straight 24hours.
I call this a con because if you fall sick or decide to go on a personal holiday where you won’t have to work, then your income will seize till you resume.
Sometimes, I will just feel like taking a weekend off without doing any work, but if I remember that I have sales, I will have no option than to do it so that I won’t lose the sale.
So working on Fiverr will require you to work harder if you have to earn more.
2. SALES AT THE BEGINNING DOESN’T COME IN DROVES
Like I have already written before, when you start newly, sales don’t pour in heavily. You will need to be patient to build up your reputation before the sales starts pouring in.
You might get just few sales within the first month. What you will need to do is to ensure you deliver excellent job to the client so that the client will give you a great review. As your reviews increase, more clients will start trusting you and your sales will increase.
Most importantly, if you build enough reputation, you will start charging higher.
For instance, I charge between $50 and $100 for a job that takes me around 3hours to execute. There are even bigger sellers on Fiverr who will charge up to $200 for same job.
So you need to develop patience and persistence in the beginning to be able to build your reputation gradually.
3. TO EARN HEAVY AMOUNTS, YOU WILL NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR SKILLS
To be candid, some skills pay more than others.
The average amount people earn for a 500word article on Fiverr is between $5-$10, whereas a sales letter of 500words will earn you between $30-$50. Some charge even more.
The difference is that article writing is just a normal type of writing, whereas sales letter writing is a more sophisticated type of writing called copywriting.
The more specialized the skill you have, the higher you will be able to earn.
My advice to people is to start with the basic skills like article writing and data entry. As they start making some cash from it, they should invest their time and maybe resources into acquiring more lucrative skills like graphic design, video animation, copywriting, web design, programming, research writing, etc.
Anyway, these skills I mentioned aren’t the only lucrative ones. I just wrote down the ones that came to my head right now.
So if you want to start earning higher, you need to upgrade your skills.
Now that I have listed the cons, let’s get to the positive side.
PROS OF WORKING ON FIVERR
1. YOU CAN EARN MORE MONEY THAN MOST WORKING CLAS PEOPLE
A recent survey by Stutern showed that more than 50% of Nigerian graduates earn N50,000 or less monthly and only about 1.9% of employed graduates earn above N150,000. Google this to confirm for yourself.
This is pathetic!
It is even more worrisome when you discover the number of hours they need to put in to earn such amount.
On the contrary, this figure is actually a starting point for a freelancer. Earning $200 (N75,000) monthly on Fiverr is considered a newbie
So as a freelancer on Fiverr, you can a huge amount of money to enable you take care of a family like I do.
2. YOU CAN INCREASE YOUR EARNINGS BY WORKING MORE
If you are an employee working with either the public or private sector, how long does it take for your employer to increase your salary?
Probably many years…..right?
In addition, you will have to work so hard to please your employer so that your salary will not be tampered with at the end of the month.
This is not so with a freelancer.
If a freelancer wants to increase his or her earnings in a month, he can decide to work harder to make it happen. At the end of the month, he gets more work and earns more money. The harder he works, the more money he earns.
Personally, I’m a lazy dude and so operates only two Fiverr account (****this is actually against Fiverr rules, but there’s a way to avoid getting caught……..Naija man must survive naa*****winks)
One of my super hardworking friends has 5 different accounts on Fiverr and is always busy. His revenue every month is never less than $2,000, even when the services he renders are just the basic ones like article writing, review writing, proofreading, etc.
I don’t envy him because he works harder than I do and so earns more. The most interesting part is that he doesn’t work up to the 8 hours that most employees offer their employers, yet he rakes in a minimum of $2,000 (N660,000) every month.
So as a freelancer, you have control of the amount of money you can earn. The more you work, the more you earn.
2. YOU GET TO WORK FROM HOME OR ANYWHERE YOU ARE
For example, I had a program at Port Harcourt last weekend, so I had to travel.
But it never stopped my work since all I had to do was carry my laptop with me. When I retire to my hotel room, I will simply open my laptop and execute the jobs I have and go to bed.
So as a freelancer, you are not limited by location. You can work from anywhere and anytime…..even from the beach like the oyibos like doing.
3. YOU GET MORE EXPOSURE AND INSIGHTS ON OTHER BUSINESSES YOU CAN DO
My working with so many clients all over the world as a copywriter, has given me insights to different businesses that people do around the world. It has led me into thinking of creating my own information marketing, starting my own blog, starting affiliate marketing and even other offline businesses.
Even though I haven’t started executing some of these ideas, I’m working heavily on them and will soon launch out and hopefully make more money.
Now, I’m not trying to discourage those who are into one form of employment or the other.
No way!
My objective with this post is for the unemployed or underemployed youths in Nigeria to think towards different areas of making money rather than waiting for paid employment.
Presently, there’s no paid employment that will thrill me or make me consider taking it up. There is so much money to be made on the internet only if you can be diligent enough to master it and stick to it.
To me, Fiverr is just a scratch of the surface.
So is working on Fiverr worth it?
The answer is a BIG YES.
When I compare the pros and cons of working on Fiverr, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
My mission in Fiverr is to generate revenue which I will be investing in other businesses both online and offline. It’s already working out for me and before too long, Fiverr will become my secondary…..no…..tertiary source of income…….****winks.
You too can also start on Fiverr if you have a laptop and internet connection. Besides, you wont need initial investment into getting a website, traffic building, etc unlike other internet business.
So it’s a good entry point.
Go ahead and try it today and kiss goodbye to unemployment.
Please shut up! This is not State owned Uni, it's Private, don't think you are talking to illiterate. I don't blame you politicians, I blame Nigerians as a Nation especially the Youths. Until we stop thinking of ourselves, we can't be liberated off this abyss of hellbound political leaders. They spit whatever they feel cos nothing is going to happen.
