The same thing I ought to do is what you too and other youths can do. Will sabotage, betrayals allow both of us to contribute? If no, maybe either you or I is afraid, or otherwise, we don't want to die for our Nation. Only 30% of Nigerians are patriotic. Brother, can you tell me how you can contribute to a political party or candidate campaign if not death or assassination when attempted? Its like taking a bowl to fetch water out from the river thinking it will dry. Nigeria will be great, but our prayers will help to project the external force in us be it you or me.
An average Nigeria cannot even die for his children to live, why do you think such person will fight for the country. What you asked me, is what Che Guevara did in most South and Latin America region, and that's what we need, can you embarked on that journey? Come follow the yellow brick road...

Mr. Daniel Joshua, the Taraba state-born 31-year old, former N-Power graduate employee says his sound Christian moral upbringing compelled him to refund the N60,000 paid into his account, after he quit the scheme in April.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday July 1, tweeted and praised Joshua's rare display of integrity, which he said was worthy of emulation by Nigerian youths.

Joshua now works for the Central Bank of Nigeria in Benin. He is from Lissem in Ussa local government area of Taraba state.
He told newsmen on Tuesday that his Christian moral upbringing helped him to do the right thing.

“My pastor once told me that whatever weakens the conscience weakens the authority. And because i have always tried to avoid anything that will weaken my conscience, taking the decision to refund the money was not a problem.

“Although i didn’t have any money in my account at the time, the orientation from my bosses in my new employment about transparency, integrity and accountability also helped me quickly decide on the right path to take in the matter,’’ he said.

Joshua, who married in 2015 and now has a child, said some family members and friends tried to persuade him to keep the money.

“ But I am happy because both my wife, mother and elder brother, encouraged me to refund the money as soon as i received the alert for the two months salary.
“Yes, there were some friends and family members who persuaded me to keep the money, saying it was my luck,’’ he said.

Joshua graduated from Economics from the Modibo Adama University of Technology, Yola.
He said:“It pays to be upright at all times.’’
He advised Nigerians, especially the youths to be upright in their daily dealings and become good ambassadors of the country.

Joshua was employed under the Federal Government N-Power scheme as a Primary school teacher at Kaduna Lissem primary school, in Taraba, in January. He disengaged from the job after working for three months.
Although Joshua left the N-Power job at the end of March, he was paid N60,000, being stipends for April and May.
He refunded the money to the coffers of the Federal Government.

The N-Power management has commended Joshua for refunding the money. A message on its official Twitter handle reads: “We are extremely proud of Daniel"

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Kukah, has urged Nigerians to stick to the use of second stanza of the National Anthem in place of Christian and Muslim prayers at events.

According to him, the move will further promote unity as Christian and Muslim prayers only make Nigerians more aware of their differences along religious lines.

The clergyman made the call while delivering an address at the two-day retreat organised by the Southern Senators’ Forum in Calabar on Saturday.

He said the use of Muslim or Christian prayers at events would only make Nigerians more aware of their differences.

Bishop Kukah said, “I am worried that we are increasingly making ourselves aware of our differences.

“This is further dividing us. I am always worried and I have had a lot of argument with people about the idea of Christian and Muslim prayer.

“If we continue at this level, one day there will be prayer for light skinned and not so light skinned people, short or tall people.

“I am Chairman of the Governing Council of Nasarawa State University and the only opening prayer we say in all our meeting is second stanza of the National Anthem which is as good a prayer as ever,’’ he said.

He urged Nigerians to continue to promote things that would further unite the nation than divide it.

The N-Teach pre-selection was not fair on the side of the Edo, Delta and the Yoruba. Very few got it from this region. I don't know what went wrong, but if you are from this region I mentioned above, and you applied for N-Teach and was not selected, just note what I said.

If I die today as a rich man, and I didn't do anything to anybody or help, my name will never be mentioned positively but negatively. Today, Michael Jackson, Nelson Mandela and other great men are remembered because of their act of philanthropic efforts on humanity. A Lamborghini sports car worth a whopping N76 million has been given to the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis as a gift.



Pope Francis blesses the car

Pope Francis on Wednesday got a Lamborghini sports car as a gift. The white-painted, special edition Lamborghini Huracan, which sells for around 180,000 euros (N76 million), perfectly matched the pope’s white cassock as he blessed it outside the Casa Santa Marta, the guesthouse within the Vatican where he lives.

Sadly, will not be seen cruising around in the car as he has pledged to auction with the proceeds to go to three of the pontiff’s favoured charities.

They include a fund to rebuild homes and churches for Christians chased out of Iraq by Islamic State terrorists. The rebuilding efforts will be focused on the Nineveh Plains, north-east of Mosul, where Christians were forced to flee years of fighting.



The aim is to allow Christians who were forced to leave the region "to finally return to their roots and recover their dignity," the Holy See said.

Of the two other charities that will benefit from the sale, one helps migrant women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution and another provides medical aid in Africa.

The Pope’s blessing of the car is likely to ensure that it sells for far more than its original value. When he was given a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in 2013, it sold a year later at auction in Paris for $327,000, despite retailing for around $13,000.



The fact that the Pope had signed his name on the tank hugely increased its value. A leather Harley-Davidson motorcycle jacket, also signed by Francis, sold for $77,000.

Proceeds from the auction at Bonhams went to a hostel and soup kitchen for the homeless at Rome’s main train station. Harley-Davidson gave the motorbike to the Pope as a gift to mark its 110th anniversary.
