Travel / Re: Nigerians Living The Dream Life Abroad by Shagari2(m): 9:57pm On Aug 06, 2006
UK/US can't be compared with Nigeria economically so its naturally more likely that people that live and work in these countries will have more at there disposal than peeps living in Nigeria, if thats what Nigerians at home call the 'dream life' than its true, but truth be said, quality of life isn't necessarily better, if Nigeria suddenly became a major playa economically, 90% Nigerians abroad will pack their backs within 1yr no matter how much of the 'dream life' their livin. Home is best.  wink
Education / Re: Between American And British Universities by Shagari2(m): 9:13pm On Aug 06, 2006
If u wanna go back to Nigeria I'll say go to Britain except of course if you get the chance to go to an ivy league school in the states, but if your not planning on coming home soon than go to the states.

Nairaland / General / To Seun by Shagari2(m): 7:34am On Jul 30, 2006
Dear Seun

Good morning sir *bow*  hope all is well sir *bow*  grin

I was going through the recycle bin this AM and I found a story written by Nnena1 (that was the name of my 1st girlfriend, very naughty girl she was! the name still sends a shiver down my spine, I'm scarred for life!) anyhu, as I was saying, I came across this story tittled 'My name is Obum' wow! I have never seen anyone write like that on Nairaland before, if that work was original than kids got a talent! that was very very very good writing.

My point though is, why is it in recycle bin? I noted you pointed out that she hadn't sent in the rest of her story but she may not have finished it, she may not want to post the rest, she may just have been looking for some critique which NLers kindly obliged to, she may just have limited net access. I think work like that should be left out longer for people to read and respond to, I would have loved to respond to it but I can't, yet I can still respond to the comparison between d*ick and p*ussy which was kind of cool in a weird way.

You're doing a great job Seun, I could never have done this in a million years, you can use it to encourage rare talent like Nnenna's *shiver down spine*.

Thanks  wink
