Article from Fast Company. A new report ranks the world’s countries not on their economic indicators, but on their ability to “safeguard the needs of its future generations.” The results might surprise you. We normally judge which countries are “doing best” by looking at economic growth–a realm in which places like China and India thrive, despite their environmental and other problems. A more grounded approach might look at a range of factors, from a country’s energy mix to its democracy. That’s what a new report from investment advisors RobecoSAM does, and the results are quite different from the standard narrative. The report takes into account 17 factors, ultimately finding that Sweden is the most sustainable country on Earth–meaning it’s best equipped for the future. And the least? That would be Nigeria, in 59th place, despite all that oil. - See more at: http://dayjuice.com.ng/the-59-countries-that-are-most-prepared-to-handle-an-uncertain-future-naija-ranks-last/#sthash.mCnVfz1w.dpuf |

What a game yesterday, wow - Totally top quality stuff. Was so proud of the guys, they played with everything they got. Cameroon established themselves as a major force in my opinion. With what I saw yesterday and Angola still playing so well, I think we will have very good reps at the coming world championships What an amazing game we had last night. Nigeria and Cameroon both need to make it to the world cup as they both really upped their games yesterday. Well done D’Tigers !!!!! From the press ABIDJAN (AfroBasket/FIBA Basketball World Cup) – In the most highly-anticipated game of AfroBasket 2013 to date, between two potential tournament winners, Nigeria could not make it more clear that the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup is very much on their mind as they beat Cameroon 91-84 in the last game on Day 6. Christian Bayang had 20 points and Luc Mbah a Moute added 18 for Cameroon, but the night belonged to Ike Diogu who had a game-high 25 points to go with 15 rebounds and two blocks for one of the standout performances of the tournament so far. Cameroon led 40-39 at the break, but Nigeria edged them out in the second half to remain perfect and top Group B while Cameroon finished second. In the final game of Group A, defending champions Tunisia also improved to 3-0 but needed overtime to beat a resolute Rwanda team that wasted an astonishing chance of achieving their most famous victory in AfroBasket history. Tunisia prevailed 83-81, despite trailing at the break (41-39), and at the end of the third quarter (61-59). As Rwanda’s fans celebrated, the worst was still to come when Kami Kabangu turned the ball over with four seconds remaining which Tunisian forward Macram Ben Romdhane converted into a lay-up that tied the score at 74 to send the contest into an extra period. - See more at: http://dayjuice.com.ng/afrobasket2013-nigeria-beat-cameroon-to-stay-perfect-as-defending-champs-tunisia-survive-again/#sthash.nCrHG1Cw.dpuf |

I have some statistic of my own. I read Maureen Friday's article and it really is very well written and all the points very valid too. I am currently conducting a poll on number portability to see which networks Nigerian will be running away from and which one they will be running to. As at today, after just 4 days of being live Etisalat clearly took the lead and has stayed there ever since. MTN appears to be the most hit but see for yourself. Please visit http://m.martins.com.ng/msurvey to fill the survey your self and see updated results This chart shows which network people are rushing to.

Bigcake: I see Mtn folding up. I see Etisalat smiling all d way. Airtel had d best laugh. And Glo first of all went down low.It seems you are not too far off from the truth, I have a mobile app called the number portability movement analyser which tries to see which network people will leave and which one they will head to. So far, most of the exodus so far is from MTN and they are mostly heading Etisalat's way. Attached is a snapshot of the basic report from this morning. You can fill the form yourself and the reports will adjust automatically. Let's just hope Etisalat can cope with the new "found" load. You can fill the app here and basic report as well once you complete the form Like your telco to bits or can't wait to change lines? Etisalat continues to lead by a wide margin. Most users appear to be heading out towards Etisalat with Airtel a distant second. MTN remains firmly rooted to the bottom of the chart. I have attached a sample report from the backend showing movement patterns at at 10.20am this morning. Be sure to share this with your friends and complete the poll yourself.
