Damboy96: They dont offer Law but they gave me the course i choosed. But uniport dont accept 2nd choice, i was admitted because my father is a professor there.

are you the same person with username herminert ? and who told you Uniport doesn't accepts 2nd choice, I have lots of friend that were admitted on 2nd choice basis, provided your score is high, and you choose them as 2nd choice be sure to see your name on first supplementary list, because merit is only for first choice candidate that score high. Uniport's admission policy is flawless. But mind you gaining admission into Medicine,Engineering and partially Pharmacy as a 2nd choice candidate in uniport is rarely plausible. And finally you said you dad is a professor in uniport and he supported you to go school in OAU Ife, guess he is an alumnus of Ife. Just noticed OAU is becoming a family affair. Funny some people think forfeiting 70k is uncalled for, speaks volume of life lessons not tackled or ever been channeled on your paths.

The days of English Language has faced depression, mathematic has come to chase oppression. Inorder for us not to waste inspiration, I will advice you to race to your test book in haste, so as to re-phrase your comprehension ( skills ),thus you will be able to faced or chase any calculation.

TOSIN ACCA: 1. 1011.011 base 2 to base ten=
1*2^3+0*2^2+1*2^1+1*2^0 + 0*2^-1+1*2^-2+1*2^-3=
8+0+2+1+0+1/4+1/8=
11 whole number 3/8.
Nb:* stands for multiplication while ^ stands for 'raised to the power of'
2. 3 whole number 7/8 is same as 3+ 7/8 and rewriting this in terms of base 2 powers(both positive and negative) is:
2+ 1 +1/2+ 1/4+1/8=
1(2^1)+1(2^0)+1(2^-1)+1(2^-2)+1(2^-3)=
11.111 base 2.
Nb: The point separates the coefficients of positive and negative powers.
3. 132 base 5= P base 5
convert the two sides of the equation to base 10:
1*5^2+3*5^1+2*5^0= P*5^0=
25+15+2=P
42=P
Therefore, P= 42.

Wow I'm amazed by the way you tackled the questions effortlestly, bravo for your 1st two answers i.e 1 & 2..However, you seem not to get the easiest amoung them all (david and goliath I guess ) which is number 3.
132 base five = P base five.
Two things you should consider here is that 'P' here does not neccessarily mean a single unit, which makes your P*5^0 assumption incorrect.
Also by mere glancing at the question you would notice they are both of the same bases, therefore P = 132. Final answer...nice try kudos to you.

solelymade: Yes, I'm a student of Ife. Visit d skol website www.oauife.edu.ng and click on eportal which is @ d topmost right corner of d homepage. From eportal, u click on student which will launch u into another page where u are 2 click on login...then sign in using ur ume reg no and a password of ur choice...should welcome u since u've been admitted showin ur names and student details then click on accommodation 4 freshers...do make it fast because there are limited space..dis shld be wen eportal has indicated d opening of offer 4 d application of accommodation...remember 2 register 4 electives b4 d slots are filled up. As expected, u can't register 4 more than 1 because d units 4 ur core courses maximum of total load unit of 23. It's quite a easy process u should be able 2 walkthrough it without complications.
Will check on u...also i advice u keep tab on d 2012/2013 admission thread on nairaland...ur coursemates are there.

solelymade: dat means u would have lost 1 academic session if u cross 2 Ife which isn't bad since u'r in your early 20s. Just take i wise decision. Guess u'r more passionate about being an Engineer.

Mechatronics ? Have you done your research on how the course would look like, guessing from the name that it has to do with both Electronics and mechanical engineering mixture..If that the case it's a nice option.

solelymade: Not sure u can take ur master in chem eng since pharmacy is totally different frm any engineering course. I only made reference 2 dat because i felt u'r more interested in being a GREAT IFE by takin a masters course in IFE. What session are u guyz runnin in *unical* presently?

Actually it is Uniport not Unical, and we are in 1st semester 2012/2013 session.

This tutorial is invaluable but sinz we are all families on Nairaland, I will spit it out effortlessly.

1. Click on the you tube link provided for streaming the video, not the image oh.

2. By now you would be directed to a page which has an icon or image of the video, share video and watch video option.

3. Go top of the your browser and edit the address, replacing ''www.'' or ''m.'' with ss. e.g www.youtube.com/t12gj6H to ssyoutube.com/t12gj6H.

4. Reload the edited address you would be automatically redirected to a download site, look at right corner of your screen your will be given list of file type to choose from e.g 3gp, mp4, avc etc. select any one you prefer and you downloading would start immediately.

It is easy as that. Now you can download video from youtube without any software.

You just spoke the minds of the leading advice I ve receive so far, same advice from family, relatives and close friends ( even some department friends ). Also same passion and drive that led me going out of my way 2 apply for another JAMB form.

solelymade: Is it dat u want 2 change skol or course of study? 4rm wat i can infer, d former is case. Seems like u are more interested in avin an OAU education than changin ur course of study because u could ave tried securin admission into ur present skol 4 Engineering. Pharmacy is a nice course wit bright prospects. I will advice u remain where u are since ur cgpa is awesome as u claim and it is a familiar territory 4 u especially @ 200level. Abandonin dat which u ave presently for d uncertainty of OAU can end up being a sweet sour experience. If u'r in early 20s u can afford 2 study engineering later or do ur masters @ Ife. Pls be wise dont be driven by emotions.

I didn't choose my present school to study Engineering because I believe thier Engineering faculty is not as challenging as that of the Health sciences. About doing my masters, is it possible for a B.Pharm degree holder to do a masters program on Chemical Engineering.

Nairalanda: Then good for you. You only have a problem of choice from two nice options. If you are not getting "too" old and you are sure of funding for the school. I will say go to study a course that is already accredited. Then keep your mind in one place and don't look back or have regrets. You have made the right choice. No matter what choice you make now is going to be a nice one. You have two golden eggs. Now get up and go. I know a number of guys that graduated from Ife, I think you will have a wonderful time there.

That is my greatest worry ''regreting later in life'',I'm in my early 20's. funding is not a problem, and also Pharmacy is partially accredited,hopefully anytime soon it would be fully accredited by PCN.

First, on the contrary my CGPA is fine, it is not by any means poor. And also about writing post UTME, I don't think that would be necessary, because I have already done that and I have secured the admission even.

Uniport shifted from 6 position to 10 position,not trying to argue the reason for this change in position though.buh I just hope this ranking is not according to ''THE MOST FREQUENTLY VISITED SCHOOL WEBSITE'',as was stated as the basis for placing Unilag at 1st position last year.
