rpltoyinbo: 5 years!? You have a lot of options. For the more risky investments(brings higher returns)
-cryptocurrency
- stocks of companies that deal in products that have been tipped to become the next big thing. e.g Tesla and their electric cars, companies that sell clean energy etc. Doing this from Nigeria is a bit complicated but not impossible. I know because I do it.
There a couple more but I know if I list them, and you do them and lose your money, you would blame me in the end.
For the less risky ones -Go to a newly established tertiary institution(there wont be a lot of competition at the start)and set up 4-5 gas shops, the idea is to dominate the market and discourage new people from starting their own shops because they'd feel the market is saturated. This might look silly to you but this is what companies like Walmart do, over saturating the market, trust me in a business with such a low cost to begin there would be a lot of people who would see your profits and would want to get in.
-private labeling business(see the link on my signature)
-start a website trading currencies. 5 years is a lot of time to position yourself for you to start pulling in millions per annum
-exporting. You always here it in the news how Nigeria exports raw materials only to buy back finished products from the same people they sold these raw materials to at a higher price. The people sending this raw materials overseas are people like you and me. Many don't even have farms for those that export agricultural produce, they just act like middlemen and the financial compensation is good. Thanks for taking your time to reply my post. I will get back to you ASAP. |

bigtt76: Our discussing about cars here was as a result of an earlier post about car malfunction which was closely related to the entire thread. You jumping in to post an unrelated car issue is not just right pls don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to derail this thread,I mentioned 2 people to help me with links or idea inorder not to make it a general discussion and secondly I wasn't against people discussing car and assistance, I mentioned that to counter what the Mod said. Seriously the Mod is biased |

justwise: @shakol91
Visit business or investment section for investment ideas or start a thread in any of those sections. Posting it here is derailing as it got nothing to do with travel or visa. who told you I haven't done that before posting it here, moreover it was urgent and I've read people discussing something similar to that here. I've not derailed this thread in anyway because I've seen people having car discussion, asking for assistance and lot more so why is my own different. Infact justwise you're partial. You can still give another ban if you like that won't stop me from expressing my mind. |

BlowJobs: If you have a fiance/boyfriend/girlfriend that is a US citizen and it is looking promising and really serious, I think you both should look into the form I-130 (I-130, Petition for Alien Relative - USCIS)
He/ she can file a petition for you and when the petition is approved (usually takes between 2-5months), you can go to the US embassy or consulate close to you to get a K1 visa which allows you to come to the US and finish the other process of becoming a permanent resident here in the US.
it is a straightforward process.
anyone that is connected to the US through relationship to a USC can look into this. it is 2018 people!!! Happy new year to everybody.... To the MOD that banned me for 1 week,I've forgiven you and to wood, go and sin no more because old things have passed away . @Op keep doing the good work. |

Tarry: Twoods, I understand your concern and I share the same to see a better Nigeria, but I think you are getting things the other way round. The situation in Nigeria is not a consequence of the behavior of the ordinary people rather the behavior of the ordinary people is a consequence of the situation in Nigeria.
You said you will NEVER come to Nigeria because of the level of insanity and you want some to remain here and go mad when they can practically do nothing to change the situation in the country even if they want to. It is the leaders that can fix the country and the righteousness of a few ordinary people will not change it rather they will become endangered species.
I see people engaging in unscrupulous activity and though I will never join them nor encourage them but I see them mostly as victim of the Nigeria situation. Not everyone will rather die than compromise. It unfortunate that Nigeria has turned many upright individual to law breakers. I know it is easy to blame them when one is not in their shoe but I have learned that he that wears the shoe know where it pinches.
Does it mean we embrace illegality, NO, but we must understand that the situation makes it very difficult for ordinary people in Nigeria to be upright unless we want to deceive ourselves.
I understand it is a vicious circle, the illegality will only worsen the situation and the bad situation will make people do more illegality
What do we do in this situation, I will rather tell people the value of uprightness than condemn them for illegality. I would not condemn but enlighten |
