Really, thought it was bi weekly?
There are usually three primary auctions in the month of March, June , September and December. The first, second and last week of these months mentioned.

The remaining months of year have just two primary auctions.

So, there is a primary auction tomorrow. Key before the end of business today or first thing tomorrow morning

We want to see the issues with Dangote Sugar resolved, but so far, there is no evidence that they have been. The company is grappling with the high cost of imported raw sugar, largely driven by currency devaluation—a cost they’ve been unable to fully pass on to consumers, possibly to avoid giving competitors a pricing advantage.

The logical alternative would be to rely on local production, but they can’t scale up to the required quantities overnight. And that’s without even considering the impact of today’s high interest rates.

With rice now entering the market (hopefully), they may once again attempt to manipulate investor sentiment—and it will probably work—but the underlying structural problems will remain until properly addressed.

It’s also worth noting that they’ve resorted to such tactics one too many times. In the most recent financials, they used asset revaluations to offset negatives—to the point where even an airplane was revalued.

In my view, these are the fundamental issues holding Dangote Sugar back—not the fairy tales some people try to sell here. undecided
You're spot on bro. Q2 and Q3 results will determine what the non sentimental price will be in the short term

The good thing is , Nascon has find it's bearing and it's now flying solo.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Shalom428: 1:20pm On May 29, 2025
Rice will happen soon or later, then Food. It will be a kill for those who bought sugar at this price and hold on to it.

Nascon is already running it's own race. Food or no food , #70 is guaranteed

Soon or later but surely a 70+ candidate by end of the year. Declaration of interim dividends will surely make it a solid ₦80+ candidate

There will still be a lot of food for momentum traders. Some companies will still continue to deliver excellent result and good dividends despite the headwinds. One just need to spot them and get them at bargains.

If you're on the wrong train, get off at the next station - the longer you stay , the more expensive the return trip will be

DS is in trouble and there is no end in sight, that is the truth and nothing but the truth. If you plan to stay because of the potential merger, it's best to align with Nascon for now, at least, you go dey use dividends hold body and if merger finally happens , you go still chop inside

Good observation. Same thing made me to take another close look at their Q4 result (Oct - Dec 24), but I did not see anything spectacular in their revenue viz-a-viz profit.
The MRS buzz took top gear in February. Total and NNPC in Lagos has been recording very low patronage since last month, while queue wan finish MRS.

People claim Dangote PMS last longer and it is cheaper.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Shalom428: 11:40am On Mar 03, 2025
Looking forward to comparing Totalenergies and MRS 2025 Q1 and Q2 numbers .

The queue in MRS lately has been crazy. It does look like Dangote PMS is the preferred choice. NNPC and total are getting lesser customers lately, while MRS is buzzing.

Is Nascon and the cement companies in the same sector
That was another question I wanted to ask cos I don't understand.

My origin post was , I don't think any company in consumers good sector where Nascon belongs will post a better dividend yields than Nascon

A reply comparing Cements dividend yields to Nascon's got me so confused, it's like comparing Apples and Oranges.

Even at that, Nascon's dividend yield is still better than BUAcement and Wapco.

Market is just too dull now. Can't believe that many usually liquid stocks are yet to trade up to 500k shares, and it is almost noon. Well, that's the market for you.
I think a lot of funds has been going into the money market this week.

Dangote Sugar 150 Billion commercial came alive yesterday and will close tomorrow. Access Bank is alive as well. Treasury bills auctions will also take place today

So, I was just wondering since this thread have been on for years for over 15 years we have never met with each other at any time. Covid gave us data on why physical interaction is superior to an online presence.

Physical interactions with other people can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and can help to boost self-confidence and self-esteem. Being part of a group or team can provide a sense of security and connection, and can be beneficial for problem-solving and collaboration.

I have a solution which I know will be the best for everyone, I'm setting up a meet and greet at a luxury location where we will shake hand and get to know each other for real. An entry fee of 500k per head count will be made to organize the event, the organizers have promise to make its a special event. I trust them 100%.

What do you think about this great idea?
Alaye! You are on the wrong trend. Your scheme will not , can not , can never, will never fly on this trend.

Data shows that less than 5% of Nigerians invest in NSE, and it further shows the 5% , are people with high IQ / exposure. Virtually everyone on this trend is part of that less than 5%

Always come back to this post and read the first two paragraphs before you post something like this again. Your clients are not here.

Plans was to grow Money to 200,000 USD then Exit
Assumption made was Floating Naira will Converge Naira @ 700 as Predicted by Economic Magazine ,world bank and Co by reinvesting 100m in TB @ 16 for 24 Months will amounts to about 140m /700 = 200 USD
Instead we where Scammed
Now FGN is Using 1500 to USD
I need 2 years to get back to 100k USD = 160m naira
But it a Lie the Naira is Sliding to 1660 by time am exiting might have on 70 k USD
This Grand waste of time and money.

This is quite insightful and I'm genuinely sorry for your loss. However , cutting off the head is never a remedy for headache. Every investors at one time or the other have suffered some degree of losses, we all learn from the pain and move on

There are stocks that delivered more than 500% on NSE last year , yet I lost so much in NSE last year. Some people bought properties and lose to Nigeria government demolitions and natural disasters like the Los Angeles fire without insurance coverage, while other made fortunes. If there is 100% certainty on anything, everyone would be rich

TBills real rate of return might not be positive considering the inflation rate at the moment but we can't take away the fact that, the rate is not that bad, it's almost risk free and if compounded, you will make 100% return in 3 years. I don't think Naira will see a craze devaluation in the next few years. I strongly believe 2025 will be a year of stability, especially in FX.

All The Best
