If you have good money that you don't want to lose and you are risk adverse, just align with money market jejely for now. NGX defiles all analysis at the moment. Floor market is more attractive than RI.. Lol ... The game right now is for the market makers, the money bags that can afford to average down, the bullion vans that want controlling shares in some companies most especially banks and the highly experienced investors. If you don't fall in any of the above categories, save yourself some sleepless night and invest in short term MM instruments, the rate is good right now. Be a smart investor. When the coast is clear , even the blind will see. Shalom |
Hogwarthtrades:The yield on 1 year OMO bills auctions held yesterday was 28.55%. I don't think we have seen TBills peak yet The minimum wage increase is bound to increase inflationary pressure, which might make investors seek higher interest rates. |
tabithababy:It was successful. Those that bidded on or below the stop rate will be settled tomorrow. |

debeey87:I have quite a few of long dated FGN Bonds between 15 - 20 years . They serve as cash flow and some other purposes. The money I put in Tbills at the moment were originally meant for stocks but it does look like we are yet to see the bottoms of some stocks I have eyes on . So instead of leaving them idle in savings account and getting measly 5% , I decided to put them in Tbills , compound them , as I continue to keep my eyes on the stocks I've penned down for purchase Shalom |
KayOn1:Yesterday's stop rate was 20.7% which is equivalent to 26.1% true yield. Your bank can run it for you , it's quite easy. There is a dedicated forum for Tbills , you will get more information there. I don't want to derail this trend. Shalom |
Nigeria Brewery at ₦23 looks ridiculously cheap , the rally will be crazy the very quarter it eventually returns to profitability. Not a buy recommendation ... I'm not buying and won't be buying any stock till the economy has a solid positive direction. I feel safe with true yield of Tbills at 26%. Safety First. |

Ginalex:The demise of Herbert is making a lot of investors sceptical about the bank and it's future. Time will give more clarity to things. |
yMcy56:Well Done yMcy56 ... You're doing well. For those that didn't attend the DS AGM ; Sound bite from Alhaji " The merger was actually postponed because sec wanted the rice mills to start, which now will start commissing the one of Jigawa anytime from now , actually, it might be even better us as shareholders so we can see what we can gain, because we have total of about 1 Million tonnes of capacity, which is almost about 30% of the total national processing capacity in the country. It's not a small capacity. For people that know the one in Lagos , we are five times the size of Lagos and we are spread in about 5 states . On the merger , as soon as we get to a certain... Even though I disagree with SEC , but that is a discussion for another day , we will go back and apply again when the time is right . " " Our receivables are with big companies like Coca Cola , 7up and co ....your money is quite safe, there is no issue " " We will try and get out of the Forex mess as soon as possible " " Backward integration will erase Forex losses by the grace of God in the next four years maximum our company should be producing what we are selling currently, all domestic, 100% domestic ". Special shout out to yMcy56 ... You are a beautiful soul , keep up the good work sis. Nigeria needs more of positive souls like you. Shalom |
debbydee:Next week Wednesday, but you need to go to your bank on Monday to have your bid locked in . |
Odunharry:Unfortunately, you are at the mercy of the banks unless your bid is above ₦50M , then you can quote your own rate. |
Odunharry:Primary , 365 days. Same auction that was 21.49% |
After all the annoying deductions, Zenith rate was 18.3%. Nigeria Banks are really milking their customers. |
Emeka1441:DangFood is a Universal Set that cannot come alive without it's subsets ( DS , Nascon and DangRice ). So that answer is NO , Dangote will not Montana DS and Nascon shareholders Dangote Food will come alive soon or later . Dangote Fertiliser and Dangote Refinery are also in the works for listing. Alhaji is not playing ... Lol |
vacanci:Spot on. Nascon and DS are presently presenting a lifetime opportunities for those who have staying power, liquid and extremely patient. This type of opportunities doesn't come often. Not a buy recommendations. Due diligence please Follow The Money |
Transcorp has the controlling shares of Transcorp Power. With 51.6% in Transcorp Power , Transcorp remains the Parent company. All things being equal. Technically , every Transcorp shareholders owns 51.6% shares of Transcorp Power. This alone should propel Transcorp price but this is NSE , everything is possible, nothing is impossible. If the elites can be sincere and play by the rules , the investing public and foreign investors will be encouraged but again , this is Nigeria Not a buy recommendations. Follow The Money |
yMcy56:The ₦5.18 is EPS not dividends. But the final destination is still glorious. DangFood is destined to make the patient investors smile richly. Not a buy recommendations Follow The Money |
iHaveMadeiT2:Impunity reigns supreme in this country because of statement like this. How can a discerning mind think like this ? A statement like this is why people like Wale and Tony Montana will continue to shit on shareholders faces without any consequences. It's really sad |
I don't blame people that avoid NSE like a plague. |
Once upon a time , Buafoods was selling at 47 Naira . I posted last year that Buafoods will rally in anticipation for DangFood, that was when Buafoods was sub 200 . I remember getting attacked on this forum when I mentioned ₦350. The rest is history now. A word is enough for the wise Summary : Follow The Money Not a buy / recommendations Shalom |
No matter how bad the bear is , DangFood will do ₦500 , time lag 24 months ( latest ) . The keyword is PATIENCE. FOLLOW THE MONEY. |
Hogwarthtrades:Interesting days ahead. Right now , Cash is King. |

Locotrader:Very understandable decision. Who go help you , no go stress you . Wale dey stress en shareholders too much. No dividends for several years, no significant capital appreciation even when there was a ragging bull. Delist he no gree delist, court case he keeps adjourning Opportunities abound ... Oando Na hypertension stock. Good luck to those that want to ride it to the end. |
yMcy56:Spot on! I remember how I smiled to the bank when my Dangote Flour bar came in. Dangote Sugar that is 80 naira today was once upon a time 5 Naira. Alhaji made NASCON a toast for investors. Dangote Cement was once upon a time 160 Naira Consistent dividends even during COVID . Alhaji is bankable. Who go help you , no go stress you. I pray Oando ends well for everyone on the train. |
People like Wale Tinubu makes Alhaji look like An Angel. Aliko, making his shareholders rich since 1807 ... Lol |
yMcy56:N350 for DangFoods is a banker but not in Q1 2024. For now , it is the only stock you can buy in the market and go to sleep, if you are a medium/ longer term holder. |
stcool:It might not be Q1 2024 , but the N350 na banker. People with good holding power will reap bountifully. |
Does this mean the primary auction was not successful
