2024 was my worst year ever in NSE , all thanks to Sugar and Salt but I have no regret cos I've made fortunes over the years and I have a robust cash flow that keeps me afloat.

Key word : Cash flow . It's very important.

Compounding is the 8th wonder of the world. The most powerful force in the universe is compound interest.

If you are risk averse and you intend to save your hard earned money, try look into compounding cos NSE is looking more like Abracadabra everyday.

When you make decent profit , book the profit , invest in money market and compound the interest.

Access Bank is tempting me though. #Not A Buy Recommendation.

Best of Luck

Forgive my ignorance but what did Dangote gain from pumping the price up? I did not see any corporate disclosure relating to his sale of shares? So what did he really gain from the failure of the Dangote foods merger
I bet DangSugar would be selling at N5 right now if not for the news of the fake merger. Dangote knew exactly what he was doing. He sold the news of the fake merger and got it all hyped , before the first of the terrible quarter on quarter DangSugar result started coming out.

He went ahead to make it look like the DangRice is big enough to serve the entire Africa and beyond ... Imagine tell prospective investors that Fourteen (14) ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each in DSR, credited as fully paid-up shares, for every One (1) ordinary shares of N1.00 Kobo each in DRL share, which totals 2,775,792,508 new ordinary shares of DSR.

For a Rice that doesn't exist, rice with zero revenue. DangSugar that is supposed to be selling between ₦5 - ₦10 right now is now selling at ₦32 because so many of that bought on the news of the fake merger are now stuck and we can't push the sell button because the loss is just too much.

A lot of us have decided to wait it out. Maybe the price will improve when the backward integration is in full effect. Maybe the DangRice and the merger will eventually come on board. A lot of maybes now. We are now living in hopeville.

It is well.

It's really sad how Nigerians overlook daylight fraud in NSE. Our leaders know exactly who we are , that is why they use impunity to rubbish us as much as they do

Dangote proposed a merger ( Nascon , DangSugar and DangRice ) . Prospective investors keyed into it , especially looking at the price its closest contemporary ( BUAFOODS ) was and still trading .

DangRice is nonexistent, zero revenue, yet he used to sell and pump the price of the distressed DangSugar. He used it to pump the price of distressed DangSugar, he already knew Financial cost will battered DangSugar. If this is not a daylight robbery, I don't know which one will be

He knew NSE investors are docile, they will not do shit. Can he pull this type of fraud in an economy with active investors, Hell No!

I no longer play in NSE , I have over 3 Million unit in DangSugar and Nascon ( combined ) and I have chosen to ignore them for the next 5 - 10 years

2025 , NSE investors should hold companies accountable, go to AGM , ask pertinent questions and challenge whenever it is needed. I'm getting old now , more risk averse. I'm now very much active in the money market ( Tbills, Bonds , Commercial papers and so on )

Best of luck , guys

I forsee that stock market will reprice a lot starting from next year, reason being that as inflation get translated into numbers in companies earnings, the stock of the companies will also reprice to the current realities of their earnings.

The best place to be, right now for people that know what they are doing is equity market, it's the only asset class that is yet to reprice.

For the person looking for stock to put his money for 2 years, you can look at fidson for two years time frame, you will be amazed with what lie ahead with that company, all things being equal.

Happy Sunday.
A lot of stocks have doubled their prices, some triple, infact some X10 since the new administration.

A lot have already repriced , even the seemingly battered DS is like X3 . I loaded UBA at 6Naira and loaded more at 13 Naira

Fidelity, Total energies, Flourmill , Wapco , to mention a few. I think a lot of stocks have already repriced and patient investor are already in the money.

Some got GTCO at 18 , others at 26

If things goes well, Fidson is a very good one to lock in at this point. I quite agree with you on that one

Normally , NSE suppose dey bullish around this period or be gearing up for a strong bull.

The high rate in Money Market especially the unprecedented rate in Treasury bills might be the reason the bull is not raging as expected

True yield of above 30% in a risk free investment is very good for an investor that is risk averse

Swears. Had to come out of retirement and pulled funds to invest. I don't see the naira depreciating to N2,200 a dollar within the next one

Prayer is for this bonanza to continue well into the coming year.
Same here , I'm betting heavily on the Naira right now , the rate is too good to ignore and I don't see the Naira getting battered in the nearest future.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Shalom428:
Cash is King right now. This rate is unprecedented and it's likely to inch up if MPC tighten at the next meeting.

Risk free money dey sweet at this rate , if a lot of cash dey. Especially if you have good cash flow and you are compounding.

It's not too much if the system works. It's not too much if the tax will be put to work and not embezzled. The government only wants to expand the tax bracket so as to have more money for their lavish lifestyle. Senators SUVs , Presidential jets and so on. It is never in the interest of the populace

And how many companies can give 80% in less than a year on NSE ? And if you are planning to be cashing out in less than a year , you are a potential jijoist. An average investor eyes 5 - 10 years

Nigeria is not stable enough for this kind of policy. Like I said earlier, it will collapse the market cos their will be mass exodus of investors.

Taxing capital gain on a market that is already fragile will only lead to the collapse of the market. Investors will leave in drones and take their money elsewhere.

Q2 capital importation is nothing to write home about , we are canvassing for investors to come, yet we want to introduce stringent policies that will chase them away.

It is well

Quite frankly,you are probably right!

But don't forget that there are folks with good cash flow their business or job that buy good dividend paying stocks once every week or once every month of the year.

For me,I believe time in the market is better than timing the market.
The message is actually for the people who don't have deep understanding about how the market works and are risk averse . Short terms instruments like Tbills is a safe place for such people for now cos the rates are not bad.

There is always money in the market, bull or bear , people make money. I remember pointing out NB a few weeks ago when it was ₦23. People are cashing out, you just need to do your due diligence.
