Locotrader: There were value in them when they got listed and people saw the value and invested their money.Their value can only cease when they go bankruptcy and when they delist.I have not recommended and will not until they have figures.Thats my reply
But are you sure these 2 companies are now maribound? Both companies are gasping for air right now as regards patronage. Once upon a time, AIT and Ray power were viewers and listeners choice, but right now , it's Channels TV , Arise TV and maybe TVC Same goes for Tantalizer, once upon a time, Mr. Biggs and Tantalizer dominated the fast food industries right now they are nothing but a glorified bukka Things might change for good for them in the near future but right now , their ratings are really bad. |

Locotrader: @222martins Stocks like Tantalizer, Daarcom, Ellahlakes are good stocks but value trapped stocks for now.
They are down because market can't do justice to a stock without number.Ellah lake is a stock to watch from 2025 when they will begin to submit financial reports with revenue inclusive. You can as well position in Ellah lakes now as it has nothing but up to go but for me I will wait to see the numbers to back up my claim. For Tantalizer, Daarcom, omatek, Deap cap and their peers, there is no single back up number. They are Bet naija stocks for now. When it is time for them,I will also give the alert even if others don't give.Keep your eyes on current news and financial numbers on those kobo kobo stocks.
Thank you Daarcom , Tantalizer value trapped , how ? Do people still watch AIT ? Have you visited any Tantalizer outlet of late ? Right now , Tantalizer is nothing but a glorified bukka. I am sure a lot of people on this forum don't know the number of AIT on DSTV I see no value in those two companies. My opinion though, I respect yours but I do not agree with it |

Pifebhor: Hello and good morning everyone, I have been following this forum since late 2023 and I am deeply grateful for all the Deep Insights shared on stocks. I appreciate you all.
Please I want to be a huge investor in DANGFOOD when the Merger is completed for the long term as it has prospects as recommended here but I need clarity on which of the 2 stocks to invest in now before the Merger as from Monday if possible .
Many has recommended DANGSUGAR and Many Has recommended NASCON . I really do not know know anything about NASCON yet. Please Able Experts , what is your take on acquiring NASCON and DANGSUGAR.
Should I do 60:40 for NASCON and DANGSUGAR respectively seeing that NASCON is cheaper now and based on a recommendation here that the sharing ratio NASCON will be 12:1 while DANGSUGAR will be 11:1 when the Merger happens or acquire more of DANGSUGAR ?
I do not know if Q4 report of NASCON will be favorable .
Do you also advice I buy them in Bits so I can Average down when and if the prices comes down ?
I will really appreciate your concrete feedback as I intend to invest in them on Monday .
Thanks. At the current price , DS will give you more units of Dangote Food compared with Nascon. Nascon FY2023 is going to be fantastic, but Dangote Sugar FY2023 will not because of Finance cost . Some might panic and sell off DS because of the result , so buying in tranches make sense because the panic selling might give room for better entry price In summary, no matter the price you enter either Nascon or Dangote Sugar, you will be in profit when Dangote Food is listed. Dangote Food is destined to turn some millionaires into billionaires. The final destination is FANTASTIC. |

Even at that full offer, people are buying @16.39!
Those buying in millions knows what they're doing probably.......sell off here may be short lived eventually.......just my opinion sha Transcorp is very sound. Long term investors go enjoy Transcorp well. I advise anyone that is currently in Transcorp to hold , if you don't need emergency fund . No need to panic at all. |

Melcapital: Beating the 30% target should mean success and progress to a diligent investor. A popular saying goes thus: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Just that real life calculations can call for selling such a position anyway. And let your winners run. A discerning investor will not dare to sell some companies at the moment despite the massive profit they've given already cos they are still going to run. |

Over 3% is owned by institutional investors (500,001 to 1,000,000 units each), and the remaining 1% own less than 500,000 units each. Hopefully the stock will perform very well. I am aiming for a 100% ooo. I recommended it a few months ago and I projected it to sell at 120 - 150 with the shortest period of time. The rest is now history. Euphoria can drive a stock from N10 to N100 within a year, it is the fundamentals that will maintain the price and probably make it a N200 stock in 5 years time. When you start seeing stocks Tantalizer and Daar communication doing 200% , you should know it's a bull market with some touch of OLOLO Caution optimism like you rightly said . Some good stocks with solid fundamentals are still well positioned to do at least 100%. The last administration depressed the market for too long. Shalom428: What is the book value of Geregu and BUAFOODS? What is happening and what is going to happen to Dangote Foods transcends Book Value. A lot of power play is going on. Dangote Food is the best bet for Alhaji to consolidate and retain his position as the richest black man
As far as cement is concerned, the new administration's favourite is WAPCO . Dangote refinery might not become fully operational in some months to come, so Alhaji's surest way to retain is Richest Black Man Alive position and consolidate it, is through DangFoods
BUAFOODS with EPS of 5.29 and dividends of 4.5 is trading at 165 , and the fear of Dangfoods might even make Rabiu push it higher ... Is 165 a fair value of BUAFOODS? If BUAFOODS trades at fair value , I bet the current Forbes ranking of RABIU will drop.
A silent healthy rivalry is going on between Alhaji and Rabiu. These billionaires silently fight for market leader ( Share price and Capitalisation ), Rabiu has been the leader in that space for a while now , and I strongly believe Alhaji is coming with DangFoods to Leapfrog him.
Will Rabiu give you up the position easily ? The answer is No! The more Rabiu fights back by pumping , the more Alhaji intervenes and the more the PATIENT INVESTORS smile to the bank. A lot of profit taking will happen along the way but DangFoods will definitely make the PATIENT ONES SMILE.
Putting Book Value , Market Value , Fair Value and whatever values aside, DangFoods is a stock any long term discerning investors should have in his or her portfolio. Food will forever be a constant necessity and the population is projected to increase geometrically in a few years time. DangFoods will surely dominate the industry with economies of scale . The forward and backward integration is projected to be fantastic. I won't be surprised if DangFoods sells at 500 or more in five years from now.
As for Transcorp ... I will not hit the sell button now. I expect Tony to continue to bag the good deals. Every administration has favourites. When other billionaires were lobbying to see PBAT after he was declared winner of the election , the President went to Tony's house to thank him specially and personally. E get why .
FOLLOW THE MONEY.
This is not a Buy / Hold / Sell Recommendations. Take profit if you don't have holding power. But if you get holding power, just siddon , relax and wait for DangFood A lot of profit taking will happen along the way, DangSugar FY 2023 might even dampened the price cos it's not going to be fantastic. But don't worry, the destination will be highly rewarding. |

phadriz: Exactly, what am thinking, they move their shareholdings from 20k to 4 billion for listing purpose. They refused to sell to the market after listing and strategically inflating the price for them to exit at optimal price. They will recoup their investment and also hold substantial holdings while they keep managing the business and also pay themselves bogus emoluments at the expense of dividends to other shareholders. emmanuelewumi: Dangote Foods at N100 will be less than 50% of the market capitalization of BUA foods at N202 Absolutely. The battle for market capitalisation will also be in play as Alhaji will not want to play a second fiddle to Rabiu. A time when the whole world was on complete lockdown. The present hawkish rate with regards to NSE suites the 2016 scenerio . If the hawkish positions continues , I foresee some dumps in companies that declares poor dividends by first quarter 2024. We cannot take away dividends yield from NSE , especially at a time like this when fixed income rate is tempting. One of the reasons why UCAP share price is where it is right now is because of dividends. |

During the period we are are talking about, the whole country was under the seige of covid 19, the country was in lock down, there were talks of loan default...... My dear you would be a fool to buy stocks then.. ....
That is the biggest lesson in stocks, you buy when the whole world is gloomy and dumping then you sell when there is stability That was why I said 2020 was a very rare occurrence. Those who bought then are the hardened risk takers, the rest is history now. Fortune favours the boldThe 2016 case study fits better , talking in terms of high fixed income rates and NSE. |
