There should be a standard template that should form the core policy in the fight against corruption! What we are seeing with this petty minded government is a haphazard dramatisation of the fight against corruption. . Today Dasukis home is invaded and nothing tangible comes out of it other than a press statement by an overzealous DSS. Then Oshiohmole regales us with some earth shaking revelations on corruption, then Danjuma visits , then Obasanjo visits, then passports of so, so and so officials are seized and then released. . . The whole thing looks so disorganised and badly orchestrated to serve APCs interests. . . How it is done?. Inuagurate an impartial body of honest men and order them to investigate, probe, arrest and prosecute ALL corrupt men, irrespective of party, religious or tribal affliation. That's the way to go. Let EFCC work on the petition submitted if truly any was indeed submitted. Or do you expect investigation of all allegations in that petition to have been concluded already? In addition, Wike said he was going to probe Amaechi, why not wait for the outcome of that exercise too?

On PMB anti corruption before and after the election
The president may have said what he said then, that he was not going to probe past regimes. However many things may have informed his new position. E.g.

1. He may have discovered high level looting and corruption beyond his imagination upon assuming the mantle of leadership. This is very plausible given that no one can claim to know 20% of what goes on in running of government from outside.

2. He may have deliberately said what he said then in order to forestall any plan by GEJ military guys from thwarting the election process. A pledge by Awolowo to probe the military regime if he won the general election in 1979 was largely responsible for his "loss" to Shehu Shagari. So, it would have been suicidal for PMB not to reassure the then regime.

Finally, do not worry too much too soon about bringing corrupt people to justice . it will eventually happen.

Where is the essence of the so-called "One-Nigeria"? There must be massive infrastructural projects initiated in Bori , Opobo or Yenagoa in order to transform the cities to the standards seen in Lagos/Ikeja and Abuja. If the transformation is hard to initiate by government at the center, it is natural to allow the communities to manage the resources within their neighborhoods. One goon in Nigeria had suggested that the Daura Dumbass has every right to appoint ministers from his village. By the same token, communities in Nigeria have all the rights to take control of the resources from their communities. It is unfair that Lagos State is solely benefiting from the infrastructural projects erected by the federal government of Nigeria from the resources very alien to Lagos.
