I got my Visa grant today. I am grateful to God and I appreciate this community. As a passive member, I come here almost everyday to learn from questions as well as answers provided to the questions.

Below is my timeline.
July 13th, 2022 - Admission to University of Wollongong (MSc Information Technology)
Nov 1st, 2022 - Deferred the admission till Feb 2023 intake
Jan 9th, 2023 - GTE Completed (Most Stressful)
Jan 19th, 2023 - First semester Tuition payment (AUD 15,602.20)
Feb 8th, 2023 - Visa Lodged
Feb 9th, 2023 - Biometrics capture at VFS
Feb 10th, 2023 - Medicals (Fatayi Williams)
March 9th, 2023 - Admission Deferred till July Intake
March 27th, 2023 - Visa Grant.

Misc:
I only provided PoF for GTE completion with the school, it was not a requirement for Visa application and hence, didn't submit for visa.

I recently got my visa grant on Jan 31st. Institution of study is at UNSW. I earlier recommended Expert Education and Visa Services. They saw me through the process after my sch requested I nominate an agent for GTE statement. They also processed my visa.
Visa lodged on Dec 30th
Medicals on Jan 15th
Biometrics on Jan 16th
Visa granted on Jan 31st.

You are due next month, so you went for a visa interview with an 8months pregnancy and chose to tell the VO you are going for shopping/ tourism, do you guys think these people are fools?
You could have prepared yourself with burden of proof and necessary documents and gotten your visa but you didn't.

Good you owned up the pregnancy, maybe because it's obvious sha. But you see? Your real plan is to birth in the US. So, why didn't you do the necessary? Except maybe you didn't want to pay, or can't prove same, which of course then should make your refusal a justified one in fact.

Forget about reapplying, just "jejelly" give birth here and try for a US visa some other time, even if it were possible for you to even get an emergency interview date sef, you won't get that visa for birthing (you have already obviously deliberately engaged in concealed deceit), at least not easily at all.

Save yourself the stress (not like you will get interview date sha), and maintain the advantage your being upfront about your pregnancy during this last interview will afford you in the future....

We Nigerian parents usually think that if our kids are not born in G8 countries, go to the "best" schools or practice a certain profession then they will NEVER be successful.

This is so wrong. There are many examples to counter that and I tell my kids the same. If you were denied don't force it let God have his way whether your unborn child is born in the USA or in Iyana Ipaja believe he is already a miracle.

I wish you safe delivery and may God give you and the father the wisdom to train

They will reply u. Send them mail for the confirmation of your application fee.
I applied too and I ask for confirm of my application fee if they have received it, which they did. Just mail them.

Passport pickup notification - Dec 23
Approved Passport retrieved - Dec 29.

Only after retrieving my passport that my CIC account got updated (closed and approved)

Recommendation letter from head of department.
Personal statement aka SOP
Conditional offer letter
Passport data page and Visa page

That was all of my personal docs submitted (there were no certificates, transcripts etc).

Financial Doc:
Sponsor 1 - mum, sponsorship letter
soa 10m.
Letter of promotion.
A separate contract offer.
No payslip or CAC doc included

Sponsor 2 - brother, sponsorship letter
soa not included (had just 250k balance though)
Letter of promotion
Payslip for the year starting from Jan 2015.

About 4 landed doc between both.

That was every doc submitted,,, however after reading a couple of pages on here, I wished I submitted more and thought my forwarded documents wasn't sufficient to obtain a TRV.

Nonetheless I have learned alot from here and felt equipped enough to reapply if need be; luckily, there won't be any need for that.

That's how I got a sponsor miraculously and he promised to give me 5mill for the program as soon as I get the visa, I know the money won't b enough bt I can hustle the rest wen I get there.
I actually shared this story because sum pages back sum people ar asking if God is involve in visa app or not... Just smiling wen I was reading people's comment on the subject.

Well, i'd say IELTS is more straightforward because your writing and speaking is scored by an Human unlike PTE where everything is score by a computer which means you just have to tell the computer exactly what it wants to hear

The advantage PTE has its that you get your result much quickly and can book your exam anytime as there is always enough dates and available space. I would personally say PTE reading and speaking is tougher than IELTS. Writing is easier in PTE and listening is almost the same but not just fill in the Gap as we have in IELTS.

So which one is better?

I'm assuming your primary aim is PR. you would have to study in australia for two years to be eligible. so have that in mind when choosing courses. Also, it's better to go for a similar course to avoid complications when applying for visa. Although people have opted for dissimilar courses and received positive outcome. I suggest you start checking universities to find you course preference.
