To be honest poorly written posts are confusing to read and can be a major pet peeve but Madam Shaw, sofry sofry. Lol

Lol are you minding the voltrons. This is why Nigeria is stagnant. We no dey take correction when it comes to education.
I had a really hard time deciphering what she wrote. With all the abbreviations....it was killing to the eyes. I had to read it out to understand it. That's seriously bad English. Still I provided my thoughts on her transcript.

Anybody who has a problem with what I think about her English should come and beat me grin. Na to jump out and attack Shawbabe, una no fit provide insight to her plea oh. Yall totally ignored that one.
Talking about "everyone else understood her post"....my ass! So you understood it and didn't respond to her? Eziokwu!

Anyone selling market will not use his mouth to bad mouth it . .this customer service people can be funny as the guy on seat wasn't helpful as to even help cancel a ticket was an issue for the guy .so when he said there's nothing of such as the agent was insinuating,I Cldnt believe him .

quote author=ekoboy post=55077729]

You are having heart attack over your own money. If they sold you a ticket knowing what their rumour is, asking NL folks won't help. Get on the phone with them, and warn them seriously that it's not a joke and you will bring down hell on them if anything happens to your flight. Finish!

Pls Biko ,before talking get ur facts right and read up before u comment . I bought my ticket with my miles thru Qatar office vi and not thru agent . But d agent keep saying this thing about Qatar not flying to USA as they hv been banned from entry with few other airlines . I hv enquired from Qatar they denied of such rumor going around ..hence my decision to find out from real people if what d agent is saying is true or not .

I had a hard time understanding your text. Like you have a problem with using the word "did"? Really bad English. But that's not why we are here...

.....to be honest your wrong doing was not declaring in January your purpose for applying. Yes you were not asked but here you are again in March now declaring child birth? Nne even if I was the VO I would say in my mind you think we are stupid.
Secondly, your answer for budget is not YOUR budget. You quoted what you've heard. Saying "above 15K" could mean $1 million. Your answers to these questions comes across "guymanish" to me oh. So my guess is you were not credible enough for the VO. Coupled with all the errors you and Oga keep making in your applications, the thing appears like a joke to you people or desperate to them.

Derinoye:

Una no go hear. Quit going to agents like wakanow to buy your tickets. YOU CAN CONTACT THE AIRLINE DIRECTLY. It is at least 10K cheaper.
These agents put their own fees in top the ticket then give you hassle when you try to change dates or amend your reservation. I don't understand how an intelligent person that can use phone and internet will be going totravel agent to book ticket?? Anyway una get money to be dashing them

Hi shawbabe pls do not be offended. I'm in the same dilemma. Pls what's ur advice on this. Will appreciate ur kind response. God bless u

I said it doesn't matter what city you decide to go to. Things change, plans change. They won't penalise you for going to a different State from what you said in your interview. Your visa covers the whole United States of America and not only the State you used for the visa. As long as your intention and purpose hasn't changed, location can change.

good day, I need people's opinion. My wife would be travelling next week for childbirth purposes as stated during interview. the thing is we are changing the location we intended using based on recent increment by the hospital(houston to chicago). we already booked ticket for the flight to chicago as she would be landing at JFK first.

My question is can she say she has changed her destination of choice and say she is chicago bound knowing we used houston for the application. Thanks

I'm actually mad I took the pains to answer your email to have you ask THE EXACT SAME question here. So why the pm? angry

My husband will begin his visa application process next week. Is there any guideline he should follow to apply for his visa?

Also in the DS-160 form, where people are asked if they have direct relatives in America, should he fill yes because i am now in america or should he still fill No since i am on a non immigrant visa?

He can fill yes. Then provide your status....I think there's a place for that on the form where they ask the status of the person in America. He can explain for interview if they ask him.

Since you want my response so much here it is.

You concealed material information. Hence you lied.

To avoid further issues. Have the baby in Nigeria then go for vacation after.
Please stop spamming

Actually they can go on their vacation and come back. Then go for birthing. The only issue is having the CBP folks believe it's actually vacation for 2 weeks....it's a risk to take.
Mr man, question is how much do you want to have your child in America? Also you will be taking a risk going for 2 weeks now becoz na serious convincing u go do for border. But nothing is impossible. I would risk it sha if it was me....but that's me. Risk taker lol

Good morning people. I dont know if anybody has had this experience. The hospital i intend to use in MD refered me to a doctor who i called and gave me his bill. I asked for email correspondence i could show at POE but doc said he doesn't do email ans I should just give them his phone number. Guys please could this be a challenge?

Nope.

I don't even have any correspondence with any Dr/hospital to show anyone. And I believe once you have you stiry straight without fidgeting, you'll be fine. When you tell the truth, there's confidence that comes with it. Then again let me not assume coz it depends on your track record, travel history etc. These agents know who is a risk or not.

Since you said you are going for your vacation, go for your vacation and come back.

Then go for birthing after.

Hello House,

My wife is due in June and we are planning to travel in April for childbirth. I'd really appreciate if someone (with experience) can give me an obstetrician's contact/ Hospital contact in Texas with a reasonable fee. I need this urgently as our trip is fast approaching and I'd like to make necessary payment ASAP.

Thank you.

Read through the thread, as it's "urgent"

Texas is the most discussed and used State on this thread. Not to mention Tx is big. There's El paso, Dallas, Houston, Arlington etc. These places have all been discussed here with prices and quotes. Put in work and READ THROUGH THE THREAD. grin

my dear she has born tey tey, na last year matter, d didn't ask her qsts per say, she was with my other sister and she was d one they qst asper why d were there o, the main reason they sent them for isnp was becos d both had $20k on them, so it was for the money to be confirmed and the oversabi person now went further to qst why they were there for a week and had soo much cash on them. it is well.

Lol. The cbp officer is not oversabi. Your sisters are the ones who didn't get their stories right. They planned to do wuru wuru to enter. How can you book 1 week ticket with 20k cash? Haba! Anyway hopefully she's learnt her lesson to be truthful next time and not try to "guy" a guyman. Also getting a lawyer was actually a waste of time becoz I learnt one can't appeal a decision made by an immigration officer. That having a visa doesn't guarantee one entry to the U.S. Entry is solely at the discretion of the cbp officer that meets you at the border.
Any how, she can reapply ALONE (before they think she wan abscond with her family grin ) and be ready to give good reason for lying the 1st time and what has changed, and how she has learnt her lesson. Hopefully them go give am.

If I have my mind made up I won't be here asking questions, we are seeking clarification where there are grey areas, it's confusing cos the WIC office in texas requested for details of the family member am staying with and how much she earns etc. I remember how change of intent letter was the only saving grace for the Nigerian I boarded flight with, matters like this should be discussed so others can learn and do what is right #notmakingconclusionorcastingblames# Thanks

My dear calm down. Congrats on the little ones.

To be honest, stay away from WIC and any financial aid provided by the government. You have no permanent residence in the U.S. Even if your host agrees to sign for you, it'll come back to bite you in the ass.
Like someone already suggested, go negotiate bill down and set up payment plan. Arguing with folks on here is not going to be productive to you at all because you clearly did fire brigade moves. No due diligence at all.
So accept your mistake and focus on the RIGHT LEGAL way to sort it out.

Thanks to the wonderful e family, travelled at 36weeks, 24 hours in the air, no single questions asked at Poe, hubby, me, mum and toddler stamped for six months, delivered babies the next day, no jaundice, no need for incubator or transfusion. To God be the glory. Was presented a bill of $24k at Ben Taub. Pls does anyone know how I can go about the negotiate, learnt once I pay any amount out of it I can get an account statement, babies were also registered automatically for Medicaid and WIC, can I use the WIC card and Medicaid cos I don't want any issues with my visa renewal. Pls I need help on how to go about the WIC and Hosp bills negotiation.

Unsafe POE are places where alot of people are refused entry such as chicago and houston
I have never used JFK
ur most likely to meet a black or indian cbp at dulles/bwi so they themselv.es are not pure breed americans imho
Etihad and qatar have had a few issues lately with passengers being turned baack for flimsy reasons so its reasonable to be wise and go through places like atlanta or dallas where they are reasonable
I might be wrong
pls anyone flying british airways do you know if they accept naira or I must pay in dollars

You are even explaining to TWoods. Lol he is looking for round 5 argument. Us wey care about POE understand safe and unsafe. No mind TWoods jo...he don start

Good evening

I have a question please. When I applied for visa, I did a reservation for an extended stay apartment. During my interview I was asked if I would be staying with a family and my response was no(since I did not have anyone to there aside friends). Now, a friend is willing to accommodate me at her house. What do I fill on my immigration card? My reservation address or my friend's address. My reservation has not been paid for. I was to pay on arrival. Kindly assist.

I don't think it really matters which one you put. I would put the hotel reservation address if it was me though. Reason being that your friend's hands might not be all that "clean". Next thing they start asking how you know him/her.
The way I see it is, until I pass immigration.....I no know anybody except my immediate fam. Shikena lol
