I used ATL for my 1st last year. They are polite but thorough and chances are she will be asked to go to secondary inspection. Check my posts or just search for ATL Poe on this thread if you want a more varied view.

Just booked my baby's ticket to Nig and Delta gave me an unbelievable quote of $43.20..
I called from the U.S. so no need to buy it from Nigeria, il pay at the airport on the day of departure.
#feelinghappy# smiley

U'll be shocked to find out that on the day of departure u get to the airport to pay, it'll be 400 and something. Same ish happened when I went to pay. U better call back who u booked it with and pay over the phone. That is the ONLY assurance. Different agents have different stories to tell u

Let's take time to understand d situation before we respond if we mean to help anyone who seeks.
@Shawbabe dear, I and hubby have our visas months back. Just that work related issues that came up days ago is preventing hubby to come join me as planned. Hence; d reason I'm considering getting early interview date for Mum to join me to help out. No fire brigade here, that's my plight and thanks for responding.

There is fire brigade oh. Worrying about her interview date is fire brigade, if doesn't work out, she'll join u. Even if na after u born....nothing dpoil. After all women go alone and born triplets and they're still with us. grin

Lmao. No mind me, been a long time I pulled someone's leg on here.

@Shawbabe... good to see you online today.

Please was it your nigerian driver's license you used to drive in ATL or you got the Intl driver's license. If you used the latter, how did you go about it, as I was told they do not issue it in Abuja.

Thank you.
I used my Canadian license. I couldn't even find my naija one coz I thought the Canadian one was expiring, only to see it's 2015 not 2014...I was glad!!!! I hear Abuja charges like 16k to send to Lagos

Well sometimes people are waiting for money so their account statement will be presentable- upfront, quarterly payment, etc

It takes 10 months on average to be pregnant. U have 7 months to plan b4 any sudden arrival of ur baby, if the money never enter by the 7th month, then just relax as e no be God's plan.
Then again if it's for her mum, she should relax and travel alone. Her mama can quietly get her interview date and travel. Without all this fire brigade mode.

Hi all, I have a little challenge on my hands and need all d help I can get from this forum. DH was to join me on this trip to assist during delivery & post delivery. Until lately, his office refused to release him cos of a project dat cant be handed over and I am scheduled to port by weekend.

I need to quickly get an early interview date in Lagos so that my mum can join me, was up all night but earliest date was Dec 23 & baby will be past due by then. I rem we have gurus who are good with this date thing. Abeg biko o as this has destabilised me as to coping all alone.

Why people wait till the last minute to apply for their visas baffles me. Deciding to give birth in a new country is serious business, and one's planning should start EARLY and be to a T! All this rush over nothing is really your fault. Any way, hopefully u get date and is granted. Good luck.

It looks like a bruise...and it looks like what backing can cause. The constant movement of the head when the weapper is tied to the neck, causes bruising.

If you dont back your baby at all. Then see a doc. If you do, stop backing her for a while, continue applying the shea, and see if there is a difference.
Lmao. U people won't kill me with laugh. No I have NEVER backed my baby. I don't even know how to tie wrapper, let alone tying one to back a baby. So I definitely know it's not from backing.

I don't live in Lagos to be going to GH? I reside in Abuja, my pediatrician saw it b4 I returned to naija with the baby and he said it was nothing to worry about. I'm not worried about it to be honest coz it's not painful or bleeding. And I have monitored it for months, nothing has changed. I just felt that someone here had experienced it on their baby? That's why I asked. I will see anothwr pediatrician in Abuja just to be sure. Thanks mums.

Pls who can help me with this? It's on the back of my baby's head, what is it and what can I use to treat it? It itches as well. I have applied Shea butter and baby oil on it. Nothing. It's been there since my baby was 2 months. My baby is 5 months plus now.

Gud morning beautiful mamas, pls my daughter stomach is always making some funny noise and she stretch weneva it makes does funny noise, and again my daughter as been battling with cough and cattarh for some days now we were given JAWACLOX antibiotic and vitamin C but it seems it only reduce BT d cattarch is still dere.I always feel her pains wen d cattarch is disturbing her and makes breathing a little bit difficult for her.pls any suggestion on wat to use.she will b 3mnth by Sunday
First of all STOP giving ur baby antibiotics!!!! Dunno why naija Drs are quick to prescribe this for infants?! Catarrh is NOT caused by bacteria but Virus. Naija Drs can be funny.
Buy Saline Drops and drop it in her nose to loosen the catarrh, then suction the mucus out with a nasal suction. It normally comes in the pack of Saline drop u buy.
Then buy Olbas oil and drop in her room or bed...anywhere her nose is when she lies down so she can inhale it. Or drop in hot water and have her inhale. DON'T DROP ON HER SKIN OR INSIDE HER NOSE PLS!
hen buy Piriton syrup for children and give her 0.3ml three times a day. She should be fine in about 3 days.
Pls stop the antibiotics biko!!! All these quack naija Drs and over sabi

Hello,
There are 2 female drs in d practice that I know,Collen Cherry and Dr Godwin.
Met both of them but i prefer Dr Godwin. You should note that any of the drs in d practice can deliver your baby, its not cast in stone.

There are actually 3 female Drs. Not 2.
And u are right, any1 can deliver ur baby, I was lucky my obgyn listened to my plea and showed up for me.

Hello,

Pls this question is directed to (ex) Northside hospital mums,Shawbabe....
What other bills were you given after you delivered, other bills like labs and d rest. I hear there's someone that comes in to teach u how to breast feed and they send u a bill...i dont understand.

Can u guys give an estimate of what you paid after the epidural,dr n hospital fees.

I believe I'm speaking for aug/sept mums cc:hotmummy15. Thanks

Of course if u use a lactation consultant, u should expect to pay. I didn't use "extra" services than I paid for, so no extra bill came to me. Lab bills don't come from northside, except they did a test for u there. In my case my obgyn came to northside and delivered my baby.
Labs come from ur obgyn during ur prenatal care. So all Northside did was provide bed for me and baby. Nothing extra than the 3550 I paid.
