Stay away from birth centres. It will affect your visa renewal. Try hospitals in VA within drivable distance.

Hi! I applied for a Visa at the Nigerian Embassy in Atlanta. I used an agent, his name is Eddy. You'll post the necessary documents to him via usps. The process takes about 2 business days.

We paid with card sha, since you are in Atlanta. if you have card just do that. The number you call sef is automated, not sure you can speak to someone on the other end of the line.

Run away from birth centres! Run as fast as your legs can carry you. Will come back with my transcript on a birth center i ended up not using in 2013! Save some money and deliver in the hospital ! Save yourself the stress and pain! It might be cheaper but at the long run it will become more complicated (making the bills more expensive ). Stay away from birth centre! Share to save a life!

1. 1st copy is about $20 or $23, extra copy is about $5,
2. You can fill the form online at travel.state.gov save as PDF n print. Expedited US passport is $165. If father is not around he should print out and fill a ds5053 and get it notarized and Dhl to her. She will add it to her supporting documents.

Nigerian passport is where money order is concerned.

But what surprises is that people hardly talk about midwife birthing and i wonder why.

Midwife or Water birthing is cheaper for non complicated pregnancy, non first borns etc
The good thing about it is the midwife clinics are linked to some specialist hospitals incase anything happens
but you only use it if you are sure your pregnancy is not complicated.

My wife did not use it because pregnancy was complicated but had wholesome information while trying to look for something cheaper
but the hospital we used was quit ok in terms of price.

Infact once you child is fully registered as a US citizen he begins to enjoy benefits. SO HELP YOUR CHILD AND HELP YOURSELF.

Oh and baby's father has to be present with his ID to hasten the process for both passports.

1. Had my baby on Wednesday, Eastside Medical Atlanta- Filled the BC form on thursday. Thinking of approaching the Vital office office tomorrow Monday to pick it up.- Do I have to do a money order for this or I can pay right there and then? Any form of documentation I need to go along with?

2. Passports- Do I need to make any form of online applications before I approach their offices? If yes- can you help with the links? I would love to do money orders before I approach these offices as well- do you know the exact cost to expedite both the Nigerian and American passports?

1) No. You can pay at the vital office with card or cash. $20 I think per copy. Abi $5 I can't remember. Document to go with is your ID and confirmation of birth of the baby, given to you by the hospital.

2) Online application? No. Go to travelstate.gov website for the updated way of getting a US passport. You can get a form from post office but you have to call the number on the website to book an appointment before showing up downtown. You pay cash or card. You and money order sef lol. American passport is $165. I think it's extra for expedited. For Nigerian passport, I can't remember the process. It's been 2 years. Check my posts from 2015. I even had to screen shot the page coz I forgot.
Meanwhile why use Dr Soyoola? All these over priced naija Drs....tufia. lol

You are not a visa officer.

You don't have any business going to the embassy with your mum. Except she needs an interpreter and they'll provide one.
Let her fill her form and reason should be to look after you and her grandchild. Give her your receipts in case they ask. Your data page, visa copy and your previous child's data page.
You don't have to go with hr to hold her hand. She'll be fine.

My understanding is that Qatar will book hotel for you if your layover is over 8 hours, unless you bought their promo tickets. If the layover is over 10 hours, they will even throw in meal vouchers.

That's what my family got on our trip. We got hotel to and fro and had meal tickets on the return leg

Yes na. Na the promo tickets wey u dey on your own. Hotels start from the class next to business class. And that one na 800k per person now. Promo is 466k. Na almost double because of hotel. Nahhh

Note of warning though for preggy mamas,Chicago is still a notorious entry/exit.our return leg is via Chicago though and before leaving the US i was gisting with hubby that I read here about someone who was interrogated about receipts/proof of payment for delivery before boarding her flight out of Chicago and hubby was like for what na,that na oversabinus but I was not worried because I carried mine along,
Lo and behold,after check in and Qatar don tear the longer part of the boarding pass and we are half way to the plane geh geh see men in blue asking passports please ,without pre-meditation I gave them Nigerian passports only for all us,they went through and identify each person and say you can go on.In all my trips have never passed through Chicago anyway but just to keep all informed sha.
