Your application is still within standard processing time.
Wait for a few more weeks then you can begin to send emails and wed forms

d2nn:
Gurus in the house, come to my rescue!
I submitted my application January 25, did biometrics on the 27th of January 2023.
Up till this very moment I haven’t received any response from IRCC, I’ve sent webform severally but no response.
My dashboard says Eligibity Review has started already, it’s 9 weeks already and no response whatsoever!
Please what else can I do?

Yes, add the parent's statement of account, and any document stating their support and source of income/funds

Pls anyone has an idea on this ?

Mention any visa refusal in your application.

No, it does not jeopardize your chances

Eniolakate:
I'm just curious, guys.

If one has been refused a visa before, say visit visa to U.S about 7 years ago, is it necessary to mention that? If yes, hope it won't jeopardize ones application.

2021 is a long time.
try sending a web form.
Get your GCMS/CBSA notes to know the status of your application

Anjiebaby:
Hi good evening.. my case is a little different
I started my study permit visa application in November 2021, and up till date IRCC hasn’t made a decision on my application. On my portal on the Final decision, it keeps showing; “Your application is in progress, we will send a message once the final decision has been made”
.
It has gone on for too long and I am just worried why it’s taking this long. Which has caused me to defer my admission for the 3rd time now. And my current admission is for May and still no decision has been made.

Attached is the details about my application status from my portal.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Shayo5: 7:08am On Mar 04, 2023
the VO will most likely work with the amount stated by IRCC, but to be on the safe side always work with an amount slightly higher this will give room for the unexpected. Your school has stated 11,500 as living expenses for one year I would suggest you work with that.
Bamz555:

Bro what if where standardized letter of admission says 11,500cad? Will VO use dat of IRCC or that of d school??
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Shayo5: 7:05am On Mar 04, 2023
the VO would most likely use that of IRCC. the VOs know that the amount stated by IRCC is the minimum expected from the applicant, its always best to show more e.g $11k - $13 to give room for the unexpected.

The visa issue will be the duration of your passport that's till may 2024 or the length of your program which ever comes first in this case.

you can notify IRCC with your new LOA when you receive it, it does not affect your submission for stamping. Check the letter sent notifying your of your PPR for the list of documents you need to submit with your passport.

Teejackz11009:
Evening lovely People..I just got my PPR yesterday, but my LOA has expired since January 9 2023 and I have been asked to submit my passport for stamping between now and 30 days..I have written my school since last month to renew my application for September 2023 intake and they haven't sent me new LOA till this moment.. And my International Passport will expire May 2024..If I take my Passport to embassy for stamping within the 30 days that I was instructed, how many month stamped visa will be on my Passport. And if luckinly I receive a new LOA before the 30 days, will I need to inform IRCC before I take my Passport to the embassy or is it advisable I inform them after my Visa has been stamped. Please I need response on this.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Shayo5: 12:45pm On Feb 25, 2023
Confirm the amount you will need for living expenses from the IRCC site.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents.html

the primary applicant will need Tuition fees+ living expenses ($10K CAD) + miscellaneous expenses/flight cost
1st dependant(spouse) will need $4000 + flight cost
Every other additional family member $3000 + flight cost

will need

Hi guys. Thank you so much to everyone for sharing their stories
I have a peculiar situation and I would love your help please. I didn’t consider going the school route until last month (I was hoping to try express entry again ), so I went ahead to apply to Conestoga college and I got admission for May 2023 . I am to make payment for first semester by March .

Now these are my questions and concerns;
- I intend to go with my kid (less than a year) and my husband. How much do we need in total
- I intend to get the POF from a family friend . Since I don’t have six months for the money to sit in my account, do I tell them to sponsor me instead .
- How much do I need to have myself in my account
- is it possible I get my study visa before May
Please any additional information you might have for me will be appreciated as I’m so overwhelmed with all the information here and I’m confused on where to start from

- I should also mention that I have an active visitor visa that will be expiring soon .

Thank you

MBS generates your statement of account in a smaller file size, for some banks your statement can be on 1 page and some banks forward your statement straight to the embassy of the country you are applying to and send you a code, it's this code you will send along with any other document you wish to use as proof of fund. you don't have to compress statements generated by MBS unlike regular statements that you might have to compress before you upload and in some cases the compression make the statement blurry.

Dorisdili:
Hi everyone, does anyone by chance know what an MBS statement is, and if there is any advantage of using MBS instead of normal printed statement for study permit application? Thanks!

you should get another mail stating that your passport has been returned to VFS, if not you can check VFS

Don't do it, she should go for her medicals in person and she should run from that agent

Sheillaa:
Dear people, please friend needs advice. She got a job in Canada and trying to process her visa and about paying for Medicals but the agent told her she can do medicals by proxy instead travelling from sokoto where she’s based to Abuja, but will cost money cos they have someone in there.
Has anyone experienced this before? What do you guys advise?

Congratulations on your PPR. You mentioned your kids were born in the US, this means they do not need to apply for visa right?

But did you apply for study permit for them as well?

Lawode:
Good evening guys, Glory to God!!!!!! our testimony came in early! Family of four. Student permit for wife and SOWP for me. We did all by ourselves and with the help of God, and the hope and inspiration given by the application details provided by @Oloking and @Dayo96 ( Dear Brother, the saving project worked). @Tolulope1 thanks for being so warm and helpful. We submitted the usual documents so there is nothing to list in that regard except the few unique ones like:
a) a letter confirming my remote work arrangement, as opposed to letter for leave of absence ( I can't leave my job ).
b) Documents confirming annual emolument of sponsor ( I am sponsoring my wife) ,
c) Applicant's and Sponsor's Employment documents
d) One year pay slip of sponsor
e) One year statement of account ( Naira and Dorm)
f) International training certificates
g) Letter of Sponsorship (detailing my income and how the funds available were made, the huge transfers into my wife's account from Bonuses earned last year, and the corresponding payslips)
h) Wife's SOP ( 22 pages or so, detailing every aspect of the application. Why she wants to study PGD after Masters, why she is traveling with family, etc, she was very sincere in that write up)
i) Letter of Intent from me ( stating my true intentions, the need to be with my family, the situation surrounding my job and why I had to go to Canada with my job)
j) Bill and receipts for children had in the US
(k) Explanation of the intent to sell the dollars in my Dorm at the parallel rate.
l) Commitment to fall back on my RSA should I lose my job or sell two of my vehicles
m) Hometies - Job, work benefits ( I have a lot to lose in benefits if I don't come back, and this is the absolute, verifiable truth), personal relationship with employer, established profession etc)
n) Travel history ( UK, US, UAE - existing US visa
o) Plans to convert 25% of RSA towards mortgage under the new policy in that regard.
p) I had to state a commitment towards monthly savings to shore up my proof of fund for living expenses in the second year. We have funds for the first year.
q) We paid the first year tuition.

These are things that easily come to mind.

My observations and advice:

1. Tell your story truthfully and back it up with as much evidence as you can get, it is easier selling the truth.
2. Explain every deposit
3. Have your sponsor transfer substantial but explainable funds into your account ( all funds were transferred into my wife's account)
4. Please make a joint application if you have the funds, don't state your spouse is your home tie when you know you will want them to join you later ( say the truth)
5. Use the MBS
6. Travel history helps with quicker record verification ( it is not a major factor, but it helps buttress the fact that you are not trying to Japa)
7. Provide details of your registered business if you have one, otherwise show other means of social establishment in Nigeria
8. Do not do half measure, go all out to prove the facts that you state, again this boils down to if you are saying the truth.
9. Give a detail description of your study plan. Prepare your SOP like a tough interview question and answer session. Address all the issues sincerely ( your truth is your truth, don't try to play smart. e.g. my siblings are abroad and I didn't hide that, just stated that I have always returned to Nigeria in spite of that)
10. Show a reasonable career progression. Don''t jump from Customer Service to Nursing or Health Care Assistance without a solid explanation.
11. Research and do it yourself if you can, otherwise, provide all the information , including the SOP and make sure you can see yourself and not a stranger in the story being presented on your behalf. It is easy for one to forget a lie but the truth never fades.
12. Huge funds without detailed explanation of the source will work against you
13. Don't be afraid to transfer lump sum so far there is a good, plausible explanation.
14. This is a good time to apply, do it now, the time line might get worse again - I was going to continue to save until I have at least 20million, in addition to the fees for the second year tuition for my wife, but @Dayo96 and @Olokings story on guaranteed savings encouraged me. ( I still intend to continue to save until the money is complete, but we already of the visa, so it is good to just get on with it and hope that the truth will make you free.
15. This is one situation where the strength of man cannot promise success, there is the huge element of the grace of God. Please acquaint yourself with God, let this mission bring you close to Him and the knowledge of His will. Be sure God wants you to do this and live your life in the fear of God.

Application submitted - February 1
Biometrics done - February 8
Upfront Medicals passed - February 14
Eligibility Started - February 19
BVL & PPR - February 21.

I give glory to God, this is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our eyes. My wife is super pumped for her post graduates and the family time we will have in Canada.

hi, I showed my salary account which did not have much( i sent it to match my payslips), my other account had 3M then my husbands account had about 8M.

it was just study permit application without SOWP

try to calculate your school fees + living expenses+ flight/miscelleneous expenses in CAD that should give your a rough estimate of what you should present , if you can add a little more to let the VO know you will be comfortable even if you do not get a job.

Some people have presented POF with a lot of money and still get denied, I was denied the first time on the basis of insufficient funds and i reapplied with the same accounts and it was eventually approved. I only focused on the proof of funds part of my SOP, gave a more detailed breakdown of the funds available and the source, added supporting letter from my husband proof of ID and employment.

Also add a list of the documents your are uploading for each section, it lets the VO know what he/she is looking at
emmyoddy:

Congratulations

How much did you show as your balance in your own account?

And your sponsor's account?

Is it only study permit approval or with SOWP?

We are learning please.
Thanks

sorry for the refusal, it happens sometimes, at least you were not kept waiting for months.
Apply for your CBSA/GCMS notes to see the details for the refusal. You can apply for reconsideration while waiting for the notes.
Go to youtube and watch videos on how to apply you might see something you missed or tips on how to do things differently.

Good luck
