Hi just go through the last 50-100 pages u'll get names of dr's and hospitals in Houston
Oak bend WHMC r just a few.

Sholz200:
hi ease seems like you give good advice on here pls I need advice on what state and hospital is the cheapest for me to go have my baby I already have a visa pls the name of hospital and cost will be appreciated please God bless
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Shayo5: 11:18am On Jan 02, 2015
Thanks a lot,pls put it on d forum when she gets it,I'm still trying to make up my mind I'm not in Dallas yet tho.
Santa2:
Wifey and baby are doin very well. Am in nigeria so I ain't busy with baby per say.lol
The hospital assigned one cos we didn't have any preference. That zero balance ain't as straight forward as I thought, they take their time in that country, wifey is on it though.

Happy new year every1,this year will be full of favour in Jesus name.
All the best to those who have interviews @ the embassy,to those coming in smooth Poe stories in Jesus name and to those waiting for their beautiful bundles we shall have smooth deliveries in Jesus name.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Shayo5:
Hi Santa2
How is wifey and the baby? I know u r really busy with the baby and all, please what doc did u use or did d hospital assign 1 to u?have u got ur zero balance letter yet?
Thanx

Santa2:
Natural is $4,500. CS is $5,500
Breakdown:
CS - 3,500 for the hospital (all inclusive)
Natural - 2,500 (all inclusive)

Doctors Fee - 2000 both natural and CS.

N.B: we are still to get a zero balance statement. So we set asides some funds for contingency (just in case we get a separate bill for paeditician and the rest). However all these are included in the contract.

@suzyt wow @ ur Poe experience na wa for them I came in on Sunday and mine was short and smooth

CBP:morning
Me:morning compliments blah blah
CBP:how far along r u?
Me:3x
CBP:how much do u av
Me:Bleep
CBP:do u av a dr
Me:yes, shows dr's letter that he barely looks @
CBP:what do u do
Me:xxxx
CBP:stamps passport and says u an 6 months.
Me:smiles and bye

Security sends me in for secondary inspection cos of food stuff. When she was done she let me go.
No stress @ all,all the prayers and scabashing was not in vain grin
Suzyt:
15. Me: morning
Officer: what are you here for today?
M: for my holiday, to have my baby and do some shopping.
Off: how much do you have on you today ma'am?
M: $9901
Off: do You know you are allowed to bring more?
M: yes I do but I'm uncomfortable carrying so much cash and I have enough in my visa.
Off: ok please step aside. You will be going for secondary inspection.
M: ok.
16. Another officer comes, picks my passport and escorts me and some others to a separate room.
17. These people are psychologists. They keep you waiting for so long to get you anxious but all through keep calm and trust that all will be well.
18. After about 35 minutes, a lady calls me, asks me random questions then passesmy passports to her colleague. After another 25 minutes, colleague calls my name.
19. Me: hi
She: hi. What are you here for?
Me: same thing I told officer?
She: when did you get married?
Me: I answered
She: what do you and your husband do in Nigeria?
Me: I told her
She: how much did you budget for the birth?
Me: well, from the doctors estimate when I came here a few months ago, the price is this but I have budgeted triple of that and in the event of an emergency, my husband will join me with more funds.
She: ok. Just so you know, even if your bill is 100k you must not use Medicaid etc. you must pay all even if it means Setting up a payment plan.
20. She stamps me in for 6 months and I proceed to pick my stuff and head to customs.
21. She must have written something on my card because as soon as the customs guy views my landing card he points me to the customs secondary inspection room.
22. I was on the queue and busy chatting with O and telling him what was going on when one customs guy snaps at me "ma'am you should not be using your phone here!" I turn it off and place it in my bag.
23. After about 40 min, it was my turn. I was thoroughly searched by a lady. She went through every inch of my luggage amidst her advice that I must use epidural. Oh I forgot to mention that she also asked me the whole why are you here? Why give birth in the states etc questions. She helped me load all my stuff on the trolley after searching and wished me well.
24. That is my story o. It was long. We landed at 4:50am and I didn't finish the whole process until about 8:20. I connected to my final destination and here I am waiting for Baby's arrival.
25. Wishing you all the best. Do not lie. Keep calm. Be prayerful. All will be just fine. Amen.

Hi Linda,

nice to know there are other dallas mamas, we should all keep in touch so we can share info on poe, obgyns, hospitals, passport docs etc

Hello Babatwi and shayo5, i'm heading to dallas this month too.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Shayo5: 12:51pm On Dec 04, 2014
babatwi Thanks that seems to be the plan right now cos i'm leaving 27th and poe is Houston the Lord is my shepherd, please post your poe experience o.

I am thinking of using Dr Dennis Abass ( you can google him)someone mentioned him on this forum some time ago, according to the person his bill is $2,400 ,which includes some lab texts. Hospital bill is $3,000 (i think). I tried calling Dr Abass's office to book an appointment and get an email quote from them, but they refused, that i can only get an appointment and discuss bills in person. I allso emailed a couple of other doctors in Dallas area without any responce.
I would advice you get in touch via email with any of the Houston doctors mentioned on this thread that are willing to accept email or phone booking and print out your correspondence with them ( which should include a letter saying they would accept you and statting their bills),so that you have something to show the VO and also to show at POE. I hope this helps.
Fourlar:
Hello everyone, please ur help is needed. Av been refused visa 3 times under section 214(b).twice with my husband and 2 kids and d third time I went alone for d interview. Am 22 weeks gone now and my husband wants me to deliver d baby in the u.s though av not gotten any correspondence leta frm any hosp. Most of d hosp I contacted didn't reply d mail sent. My main concern is that an agent did d 3 applications for us and I have my biz that av been doing for 6 yrs so I have travelling history a lot cuz I do get my goods from outside d country but he went to fill in d formthat I work with frsc and I told him initially I don't like d idea of lying to get visa but he told me not to worry. Please I don't want to lie again that I work with frsc by the time I will fill anoda Ds 160 form please your advise is needed cuz am doing dis on my own I don't want to go through any agent again. Thanks and God bless you all
@Fourlar, please fill your form by yourself and tell the truth, these agent things esp when they lie on your behalf don't work,i know people that did it and it did not work, and you could get a ban if your r not careful. Its easy to fill the form and since you know bout this thread please read thru u'll get very useful tips. But most important tip of all TELL THE TRUTH.
